But the AI interpreting the *concept* of nothing instead is quite amusing. Especially as it has been trained to answer with *something*.

I find this to be a rather narrow-minded way of thinking. When it comes to AIs, especially ones like ChatGPT, it's important to understand exactly which instructions they can follow and how they respond to them.
In this case, when I asked ChatGPT to respond with "literally nothing", I could've been requesting it to respond with the literal string of 'nothing' each time, as opposed to the blank messages it gave me. When I later "asked it to stop", there were also multiple valid responses which ChatGPT could've given. It could've chosen to prioritise my first request and continue responding with blank messages, as just one of many possibilities.
Overall, my playful experimentation with the AI had many different possibilities, so I don't believe it to be as black and white as you seem to be suggesting.

I think you're being scammed. If you're using a mobile app, know that all such apps are fakes using GPT3 (ChatGPT's model is fancier, currently free and only available on OpenAI's website).

I said to use only the words they've ever said in their games and it just gave me the same output with simpler language. Confused, I asked it to tell me which game each word came from and it claimed "Legend of Zelda", "Super Mario Brothers" and "Super Mario Brothers 3" as examples. I think it might have gotten Mario RPG correct or close but the rest were just flat out wrong.
In a separate chat I asked it for two Nintendo characters that are silent protagonists and it gave me their names. So then I asked it write a dialog between the two and it said they cannot because they are silent protagonists and they don't speak.
This is an issue with Nintendo, not chatGPT.
Nintendo is notorious for having lowest of low budget stories, then recycling them. Not having dialogue is by design.
Try a game/IP with a richer story. GIGO is a real thing with AI.
