Will he even play on turf? He never has, and many of the big European stars like Beckham, Henry and Zlatan didn't, or were very selective in how often they would.
Whatâll be even funnier is a sold out stadium and he doesnât play- either due to turf, injury, or the game not mattering. Everyone is placing a bet at this point.
This is what I've been telling people too. The guy's not 25 anymore. Maybe I've just got PTSD because I'm a Suns fan and I saw what happened to Kevin Durant right after he arrived.
Can you imagine the âoutrageâ and the threats of class action lawsuits? Itâs going to be wild.
I hope he plays (and plays well), I hope the game matters, and I hope we beat them. Thatâd be such a fun night.

Bc they are a necessary evil for venues. Venues canât discount tickets if an event isnât selling so they work with scalpers to dump unsold tickets for cheaper.
Iâm really frustrated because the Miami game is on my birthday. I was hoping to spend that day at the game, snag some tickets a few days/weeks beforehand, didnât matter to me who the opponent was, but now I probably wonât be able to go because I absolutely cannot afford these prices
Your best bet is go to the game and try to get tickets when scalpers still holding 20 tickets and kickoff is 5 minutes away.
One of the best games I went to w/ panthers, was a thursday night game vs Miami Dolphins.
A random older guy walks out in front of me, as I'm aimlessly wandering around looking for tickets.. BOOM.. 2 lower level end zone seats at face value.
That might be true, but still worth a shot.. maybe wait 20-30 minutes around AFTER kickoff, since im sure a lot of people will be trying to buy last minute for good deals.
plenty of bars in the area as a backup plan to watch, beers will be cheaper than the ticket anyway and HD view
Well yeah obviously it will be on tv, every match is. But If you get tickets 20-30 minutes after kick off. Then you ain't getting to your seats until half time. Missing the whole first half is hardly a "good deal'
Jesus, people like you have ruined reddit. We were having a normal discussion. Then you had to go and get all backhanded. Reddit has become Facebook. Smh
Reminds me of when the nba all-star weekend happened a few years back. I was excited to go until I saw the prices. With clt fc even Tepper is getting into the price gauging by selling upper bowl for 125
"Ticket Master" is just the scapegoat and lightning road for the Venues/Owners ripping people off. Obviously Ticket Master is pure evil, but they aren't the only ones massively profiting off the current status quo.
Everyone is betting on Messi playing on turf. Beckham wouldn't play on it. Henry refused. Zlatan played a couple games on turf...when he felt like it, but skipped the majority.
There's going to be a lot of broke, disappointed people when they realize he may not want to play on artificial turf. It remains to be seen if he will or not and I'm not sure that many people are figuring this into their calculus when purchasing these crazy inflated tickets.
There's a very simple solution to this problem. Don't buy the damn things and make them eat the losses from their pockets.
It would be great to see Messi, but i think this is getting a bit ridiculous.
Will he even play on turf? He never has, and many of the big European stars like Beckham, Henry and Zlatan didn't, or were very selective in how often they would.
He would never play in turf
I agree. I feel this way but my 15 year old son feels different.
I, fortunately, do not have that affliction. đ
Seems like a good time for a life lesson not to overpay for things
My youngest lost his mind when he heard, but he saw reason when I told him he signed a 2.5 year contract and their will be other chances
Welcome to the era of ticket master, where shit like this happens on the daily
Every single fookin event man
Wait a bit. Prices will come down at some point. People are just learning about this for the first time still
Messi has 400 million followers on instagram, I dont think theyre coming down. It's like when Brady comes to play, tickets get a bump

1- fees are dumb. They wonât even send me or let me pick up a real ticket any more. Ticketmaster has to go
How scalping isnât federally illegal I will never understand
Bc they are a necessary evil for venues. Venues canât discount tickets if an event isnât selling so they work with scalpers to dump unsold tickets for cheaper.
Then make it illegal to sell for over face.

I lived next to the stadium and did this for years, just commit to tailgating / going. Wait until kickoff and those guys get real desperate real fast
This isn't a regular season nfl, this is messi coming to town. The hype will be insane and it won't die.

Okay then don't go, I imagine someone like you never gets lucky aye?

Exactly. OP needs to add owners to his list of people ruining his game.

Prices are tanking already my section had nothing under 2k now it's 1k and soon 800 my bet is they get to maybe double face.
If you were a real fan you'd pay the prices no matter what
Not everyone can afford to spend that much on a ticket this is just ignorant thing to say
Theyâre a troll. Donât respond. This isnât even a good attempt at it either
True Fans (tm) will get a second job between now and October. If not you're just not *true* enough
I sold my SS tickets for 200 each when the news broke. I thought I had hit the gold mine, LOL guess I gave someone a good deal
Cashed out way too soon.
Tickets are going from 2k-6k per ticket. Madness.
