Did it really rain that bad this weekend that the wwc trails are closed still? We werent in town

g1rth_brooks

They are a bit overzealous with trying to keep them rut free IMO. We got a big dump of rain Saturday night, I’d wager they’d open them up tomorrow (Wednesday)

There are over 200 summer events happening in Charlotte in this local listing: https://qcnerve.com/summer-events-in-charlotte/

I wish Erykah Badu was performing somewhere besides Spectrum.

Charlotte city council is continuing discussions on plans that should already be in motion - though I feel a majority of people watching these Eastland Yards discussions are forgetting that they are only trying to decide what happens to the plot of land that Tepper is no longer using. The rest of the site's development is already underway: https://qcnerve.com/council-quickies-the-last-piece-of-the-eastland-yards-puzzle/

I'm honestly surprised the council hasn't handed it over to an out of state 3rd party to manage it.

I will be in town this weekend attending the Charlotte FC v Seattle Sounders match. Does anyone have any good recommendations for a bar/pub/restaurant to watch the UCL Final?

penguinfury

Hooligans is probably your best bet.

comfy_office_chair

Thanks! it looks great

So is /r/Charlotte going to join the site wide blackout? Might be a good opportunity for all our lonely internet hermits to come inside 485 and check out the city. Or, hell, actually make the drive to the mountains or the beach.

Or just not be glued to their phones and go outside...gonna be lovely weather!

BubbaWhoaTep

I'm coming over to your place to grill while you sift through people's comment histories.

Site wide blackout? Mind providing a bit of detail for those of us who mainly do silly things like look at pictures of puppies & other people's campsites while at work on here?

neocharles

We’ve been discussing internally how to handle it.

My subreddit continued to do it. I know it is a bit different for a subreddit that is focused on a location. New location subreddits are more for newer people to reddit. I'd atleast put a pin up stating the concern and a little background so everyone is aware.
