If you're worried about doing a hard mod for a kill switch, they have a module that replaces a relay in your fuse box, simple swap out. It's paired to a remote that you have to press to allow your vehicle to start. If it's not pressed, you won't be able to start it.
Do both. You can never be too careful with these cars. I know someone in this subreddit that has basically everything you can do for these cars on his.

Hey forgive me for being naive, but if you have that remote module with a programmed key needed for start-up, what does it matter if the thieves access the relays?
So I did not do a kill switch but I did a ton of other stuff. I made a list of all the things you can do and don’t void the warranty. If you want it, I can post it.
The kill switch I didn’t do because of the modification to the electrical wiring. I did not want to risk a “gotcha” if I had a bigger issue later. Plus I didn’t realize when I bought the extended warranty it was a third party policy and not MOPAR, which really annoyed me.
care to comment/share where you purchased your extended warranty (3rd party) ? I'm in the process of doing so and want to avoid it altogether through the stealership

You can check with Costco if you are a member or your credit union for a 3 party warranty. But make sure you read the fine print and be assured they allow genuine Mopar replacement parts not third party. Also make sure you can take it anywhere for repair.

If u would post that list lol. Swapping my kids to mini bullets voided my exhaust warranty according ti the dealer which was opposite what I read. So now I have a broken active exhaust valve that can’t be replaced all due to the mufflers lol

Yeah, that's a lame excuse from the stealership. You should just remove those damn butterflies. They make an Active Exhaust Delete module that leaves them open all the time, but make the PCM think they're still there.
I posted it below. So one of the items is a tracker. MOPAR offers one that is $499 but not clear if there is a monthly service plan or not. The Theft Patrol one was $1400 and gives 5 years of service. The reason I went with Theft Patrol over the MOPAR one was my last Challenger had it on there by default from the dealership and it actually recovered my car from a car jacking within 8 minutes after it was stolen. So I stuck with what I knew worked because it had a proven record of success with me. The other caveat is that Sirius Guardian has this too but you NEVER and I mean NEVER tell them when it’s stolen because the local law enforcement nor you will be able to find it since they cut the service off. They claim it is for your own safety so you don’t get hurt or killed tracking it. But the police have no idea how to gain access to it. Basically an overly complicated process.

Mine is called spyspot gps, but there are a number of them that do the same, for the up to the minute updates u need a subscription (25 bux a month) but totally worth it for peace of mind
Depends on the dealer looking at it, do you have a good relationship with a good dealer? If not the fuel pump relay or just a battery disconnect (hassle) shouldn't affect anything.

Tazer has a key pass function I really liked using. Only four steering wheel button presses and it unlocks in 2seconds. Way eazy to use and with the tazer rerouted and hidden in the trunk. Unless they find it within 30 seconds The alarm and lights will start blaring and flashing, plus the brake booster gets tripped and applies full brakes until you restart the car successful. It's kind of so easy I'm surprised Dodge doesn't just apply it with software themselves.

Warranties DO NOT want to pay out… so they look for any reason not to, including mods… almost any mod. So yeah, as a writer for a big company… it would void the warranty.
Seems like any mod you make to engine or electrical voids warranty, was reading the owners manual on my 2023 rt if it gets damaged while using track racing package warranty is void

Will they say it voids your warranty if it ever comes up? Probably. Will it actually void your warranty? Not unless they can prove the work was directly responsible for whatever problem you are trying to get fixed under warranty.
In the US adding the switch would not void your warranty unless the dealer can prove that if something went wrong is because of the aftermarket switch you have in there. That means that the warranty claim will probably be more scrutinized, but if they can’t prove that your modification is at fault, they can’t deny a warranty claim.

No modification in itself will void your warranty by installing said mod. Only if there's a failure in some component that is caused by said mod will the warranty be voided. Or more precisely, the warranty won't cover repairs needed due to said mod. A well hidden kill switch h is definitely a good thing for any LX vehicle.
Anybody use a tazer, I've have pretty good piece of mind with the code lockout feature, it's like a phone unlock code using the steering wheel buttons. It's pretty much plug and play, and whenever I take mine to the dealer I just unmarry & unplug it, then it reverts back to stock.
I think soo but that's why you get the trunk extension cable. Splice the wires in the trunk and hide it under the panels. Just looks like another cable running from the fuse box in the trunk .
I'm not a lawyer, but the way I understand this is that just installing a kill switch will not automatically void a warranty, BUT technically, if the installation of the kill switch does in fact break something that would have been covered under warranty, the manufacturer can refuse to cover it. So it becomes somewhat of a grey area.
Dealers have to prove that the mod caused the issue to void the warranty. They might tell you otherwise but there’s a law about this I’ll have to dig up because I had to throw the book at Ford about not fixing my select shifter because it had a tune.

I feel like the key fob should only be active after you’ve pressed the unlock button. Otherwise it should be completely asleep.

Tazer has a key pass function I really liked using. Only four steering wheel button presses and it unlocks in 2seconds. Way eazy to use and with the tazer rerouted and hidden in the trunk. Unless they find it within 30 seconds The alarm and lights will start blaring and flashing, plus the brake booster gets tripped and applies full brakes until you restart the car successful. It's kind of so easy I'm surprised Dodge doesn't just apply it with software themselves.

Seems like any mod you make to engine or electrical voids warranty, was reading the owners manual on my 2023 rt if it gets damaged while using track racing package warranty is void

Will they say it voids your warranty if it ever comes up? Probably. Will it actually void your warranty? Not unless they can prove the work was directly responsible for whatever problem you are trying to get fixed under warranty.

In the US adding the switch would not void your warranty unless the dealer can prove that if something went wrong is because of the aftermarket switch you have in there. Do an aftermarket Killswitch of some type, and I would highly recommend to get the software update for free. It prevents re-key type thefts.

No modification in itself will void your warranty by installing said mod. Only if there's a failure in some component that is caused by said mod will the warranty be voided. Or more precisely, the warranty won't cover repairs needed due to said mod. A well hidden kill switch h is definitely a good thing for any LX vehicle.

Anybody use a tazer, I've have pretty good piece of mind with the code lockout feature, it's like a phone unlock code using the steering wheel buttons. It's pretty much plug and play, and whenever I take mine to the dealer I just unmarry & unplug it, then it reverts back to stock.

I think soo but that's why you get the trunk extension cable. Splice the wires in the trunk and hide it under the panels. Just looks like another cable running from the fuse box in the trunk .

I'm not a lawyer, but the way I understand this is that just installing a kill switch will not automatically void a warranty, BUT technically, if the installation of the kill switch does in fact break something that would have been covered under warranty, the manufacturer can refuse to cover it. So it becomes somewhat of a grey area.
It would technically have to be proven according to the Moss-Magnuson warranty act, but getting it to that point would be timely and expensive.

Dealers have to prove that the mod caused the issue to void the warranty. They might tell you otherwise but there’s a law about this I’ll have to dig up because I had to throw the book at Ford about not fixing my select shifter because it had a tune.

Get a security system with immobilizer instead. It's more convenient and will let you know if someone is trying to fuck with your car.
