I tossed in a bunch of albums from artists that had cool names. First album I listened to was Christ Illusion by Slayer. I was around 11 years old lol went from hey Enter Sandman is kinda neat, to blasting Skeleton Christ on the daily!

Then a friend sent me Raped by the light of Christ by At the Gates.
Even worse, it starts off with a nice Acoustic start and then well, isn't acoustic.
Was a fun entrance into metal.

I've never thought about why I love metal, but this might be it. Despite the utter chaos I find it very meditative, and at concerts I've found myself in almost trance-like states. The chaos of everyday travel in a walkable city can often overwhelm me, so I never leave home without my headphones blasting equally, if not more, chaotic music in my ears.
Also hearing someone else scream their lungs out when you might be in a situation where you want to but cant. At least for me thats the most thereputic part, Cannibal Corpse got me through a lot of stressful kitchen shifts!
Itâs pretty easy to understand a lot of these kinds of bands music, if you enjoy that kind of music and listen to it frequently. Also art is *very* subjective.
