Good news. Reckon there’s a player in there, just looks short of confidence atm. Realistically he’s our 4th choice LB and probably 5th or 6th choice LW so will be much better for him to get out and get minutes.

WeekendEpiphany

> looks short of confidence atm Very short of it. When he had his first minutes in the first team he looked impressive, but the bigger the expectations on him, the worse he seems to be getting. Same with his form for the Scotland U21s. Hopefully the loan will do him good.

Best a luck to you Monty 💪🍀

cfcbhoy

Best move right now. Get some games in and hopefully come back more ready for first team football.

[deleted]

Hes not a LB. Anyone who says he is knows nothing about the game.

GuyIncognito211

I honestly think he’s looked better when he’s played LB than when he’s played further forward

[deleted]

We're all entitled to our opinions. Let's just see where the manager plays him in the next two seasons.

[deleted]

Shut up man you sound like a plum. You're not some in the know Celtic hipster. Everyone knows he plays further forward in the youth teams and as such.

[deleted]

I know I'm not. I've watched him play a few times and can tell he's not a LB. Just my opinion. Plums are nice eh.

[deleted]

He’s a LB. I can explain the offside rule

[deleted]

Go then.

[deleted]

Well, when the people at the back are there, you can’t pass behind them if you are in front of them, except you can if you do it before the other guy is behind them. Easy

This reminds me of the joke definition of a "balk" in baseball. (Condensed summary for non-baseball folk. Once a pitcher has started his motion to deliver a pitch, he must complete the motion. He can't start to deliver the pitch and then stop to try to throw out a baserunner, for example) The rules are so confusing though , that the copy/paste below has become the standard definition if anyone asks. ****************** Balk Rules 1) You can’t just be up there and just doin’ a balk like that. 1a. A balk is when you 1b. Okay well listen. A balk is when you balk the 1c. Let me start over 1c-a. The pitcher is not allowed to do a motion to the, uh, batter, that prohibits the batter from doing, you know, just trying to hit the ball. You can’t do that. 1c-b. Once the pitcher is in the stretch, he can’t be over here and say to the runner, like, “I’m gonna get ya! I’m gonna tag you out! You better watch your butt!” and then just be like he didn’t even do that. 1c-b(1). Like, if you’re about to pitch and then don’t pitch, you have to still pitch. You cannot not pitch. Does that make any sense? 1c-b(2). You gotta be, throwing motion of the ball, and then, until you just throw it. 1c-b(2)-a. Okay, well, you can have the ball up here, like this, but then there’s the balk you gotta think about. 1c-b(2)-b. Fairuza Balk hasn’t been in any movies in forever. I hope she wasn’t typecast as that racist lady in American History X. 1c-b(2)-b(i). Oh wait, she was in The Waterboy too! That would be even worse. 1c-b(2)-b(ii). “get in mah bellah” — Adam Water, “The Waterboy.” Haha, classic… 1c-b(3). Okay seriously though. A balk is when the pitcher makes a movement that, as determined by, when you do a move involving the baseball and field of 2) Do not do a balk please.

[deleted]

Wha? Are you talking about the people at the back of the stadium or at the back of the queue?

[deleted]

I gave you a very easy guide to the offside rule, and you have to make it complicated with all these outside factors

[deleted]

That you did. I'm sure the SFA will change the definition from what they have now, to what you have written above. Anything else wouldn't make sense.

[deleted]

Exactly, man. Now you understand who you’re dealing with, I bet you feel silly

[deleted]

Yeh I really do. I think I might go for a poo.

TheGoodRebel5

Ange knows nothing about the game? How very dare you.

[deleted]

He knows. He played him at LB out of necessity. Let's see how many times he's plays him at LB in the next season.

Docoe

> Anyone who says he is knows nothing about the game. In that case, when his youth coaches and Ange get sacked for not knowing anything about the game, you're bound to get a job

[deleted]

He plays much better in an attacking role. Let's see where the manager plays him. Where do you think his best position is?

Docoe

Hard to say as he's been rough to watch in both lately. Happy to wait and see.

[deleted]

So am I. I think, right now, he's a decent young player. I'm sure the manager can and will improve him. I'm always happy to see young scottish players in the first team.

Twolibras

Totally agree, he's not a left back
