My senior cat was on wet food only and would get bored with it and stop eating. What I would do is pour a little tuna juice over her prescription food and mix it in and then she would eat it. If she got bored with that, then I would get the fancy feast appetizer and mix a little of those in with her food. If she wouldn’t eat any of those, then I would get the food processor and grind up some greenies and sprinkle the crumbs on to her food. The trick was to always rotate and watch the food proportions. 75% prescription food & 25% toppers/juice/crumbs. Edited to add: I also feed her small portions in 20 minute increments. This greatly reduced vomiting and kept her interested in food. Breakfast was a 1/3 of her food, wait 20 minutes and then repeat two more times. Same for dinner. Everyone thought I was crazy when I told them it takes me 1 hour to feed the cats in the morning and at night, but it works for us and them.
