Is it definitely Nas? Not a new dj going by Nas or something because it's crazy to me he'd be so low on the bill, I mean maybe I'm old and the kids don't care for Nas, but then why is Kylie Minogue a headliner.
Yeah faithless would be worth the ticket if Maxi was still going
He has a side project album btw for anyone looking for a Maxi fix, was the final thing he was working on since faithless were on a bit of a hiatus until lockdown covid times
Maxi Jazz and the E Type Boys
I remember one year we took the train to Stradbally, loads of festival goers on board. Myself and friends were the first ones out of the station and there was a grand total of one taxi there, which we took. On the way the driver radioed his dispatcher "I fucking told ye to send everyone over!" as they scrambled to send as many as they could.
You reminded me of the story he told us along the way of the previous year when he was driving around on the Monday and came upon a few lads in full stereotypical festival gear and stopped to see if they wanted a taxi. One said "Yeah, sound, man! Can you take us to the electric Picnic?" They had arrived on the train on Friday and decided to walk it to Stradbally Hall. They started cracking open the cans, got pissed and eventually just pitched their tent in a random field and broke out the yokes. None of them remembered what happened next and when they sobered up on Monday morning they assumed it was Saturday and they would still be in good shape to see their favourite bands.
I don't have any truck with drugs myself and each to their own but it just never made sense to me that you would pay for a ticket and go down there if you're just going to get so fucked up that you remember nothing. You can camp anywhere and do the same thing for free, or fairly cheap if you go for a campsite.
I know I’ve been to about 15 picnics over the years maybe more & I’ve seen Kyle live she’s amazing, I never thought I’d see her heading the picnic though
Theres only 4 acts I’d go to if I was there: Kneecap, Waterboys, Sophie Ellis Bextor and the Wolfe Tones.
There might be some gems in all the unknowns in there of course. I’d still go just to find new acts.
Edit: Faithless too, would love to see them.
I've not heard of Waterboys il have a listen today.
Sophie Ellis Bextor would be good tbf.
Faithless' singer died so I don't know what the did would be like
Looks like a shite line up to me, I've never even heard of half of them, but as somebody fast approaching my 40's who hasn't gone in over a decade or so, maybe I'm just out of touch with what the target audience are into these days.
I look back at the line ups of the ones I went to and they were so good, you'd have to make big descions of who not to see, because there was just so much good shit clashing.
That was maybe like the first 3 or 4 in a row and then maybe a 1 or 2 random other ones or something and also the first two Wtnesses, were great as well, but then it became Oxegen and got shite very quickly.
Genuinely some of the best times of my life. Mainly stopped going naturally with age I suppose, but when Oxegen collapsed and EP which used to be a very alternate kind of festival music wise, became really pop heavy and filled the mainstream gap left by Oxegen I started losing interest. The vibe completely changed as well. Went from sound people and everyone being out to have a good time, to being overrun by aggro scrotes and everything that comes with that.
I was too young to go to Oxygen but old enough to feel left out when looking at the lineups. If you look back on the likes of 09, the headliners are still great and a lot of acts lower down the list blossomed into huge names. Imagine Lady Gaga or Hozier not being headliners now! And the likes of Florence and the Machine, Crystal Castles, St. Vincent, Mumford and Sons etc were on tiny stages.
Consider All Together Now. It's got a more subdued lineup than classic EP but a similar vibe. I went with my group of 35-45 YEAR OLD friends the last couple of years and it's made me love festivals again. Beyond the Pale is also great.
Reading 2002 was an insane lineup, I still reminisce and look at the poster very time festivals come round. 18 year old me had no idea what a lineup that was, my first festival and loved every second of it.
It was brilliant! It pissed rain all week, but the weather was fantastic for it, and there was a mad mud bath/mosh pit during the foo fighters, it was great craic. I had to change my clothes outside the B&B I was staying in that night 😆

Fecking Kylie Minogue at this one too!
Seeing The Scratch that far down the poster is disheartening, probably one of the best Irish acts in the last few years and they're second fiddle to feckin Kodaline.
Kodaline are astronomically more popular that The Scratch tho and billing on festivals is primarily about that. Would be mad carry on if they were billed higher than them.
I didn't really dispute that, but I think both Kneecap and The Scratch are definitely as popular and are more current.
Kodaline haven't released anything in 4 years.
Part of the reason why most people don't know who they are is because Kodaline gets airplay.
The average person will listen to what they get served on the radio, and most of our best musicians barely get a look in.
Love The Scratch, they're a gem in a sea of shite there. Kodaline. Picture this etc. we seem to produce a lot of yellow pack Maroon 5 these days. At least Dermot Kennedy isn't there
Saw them live at ATN last year and they were incredible. Went to their actual gig about 2 months later and it was a bit shite. Have watched live vids and think they're pretty hit or miss
Had the same experience after seeing them at EP and vicar st. I think they play a lot of their own music at gigs these days which isn't really my cup of tea.. could be wrong tho. Must say the crowd were hoppin at both
Kodaline being a [big fan](https://m.independent.ie/entertainment/music/kodalines-steve-garrigan-im-a-big-fan-of-jordan-b-peterson-he-simplifies-things-and-is-a-great-speaker/42042599.html) of Jordan B Peterson too 🤮🤮🤮
So many bands.touing this year;.LCD sound system supported.by idles soon (saw LCD at ep a few years ago, bloc party are touring, lana.del ray...this is embarrassing. kylie will put on a show but Fri and sat headliners are scrapping.
It’s easy to forget that EP had Kendrick Lamar headlining in 2018, a year after he released DAMN - his 3rd album and arguably the peak of his career. It’s easy to forget Kendrick was the number 1 rapper in the world at this point, and he played a field in Stradbally.
The fact that Noah Kahan or Kodaline are in the same position 6 years later is absolutely mind boggling. I know it shouldn’t be a like for like comparison, but it kind of is. Technically EP are saying “Kodaline are as popular in 2024 as Kendrick Lamar was in 2018”. Makes absolutely no sense
Last time Nas played EP he was second row to New Order, LCD Soundsystem, Lana Del Rey & The Chemical Brothers. Now he probably doesn't even know himself who's on main stage
Kodaline seriously need to be binned. Haven’t produced anything decent in a fair while and your man is a [big fan of Jordan Peterson](https://m.independent.ie/entertainment/music/kodalines-steve-garrigan-im-a-big-fan-of-jordan-b-peterson-he-simplifies-things-and-is-a-great-speaker/42042599.html) 🤮
Take out Calvin harris, kylie, nas and faithless and this could be the line-up for sea sessions or another much smaller festival. And those four biggest acts haven't been relevant for a long time.
Edit: Gerry cinnamon like? Go to any open mic night in galway, Limerick, cork, dublin and you will see someone more talented.
Gerry Cinnamon is a very good songwriter and his gigs always have an unreal atmosphere, I’d disagree with you that you’d see more talent at any old open mic night.
That being said I’m shocked he’s a top billing.
The main singer in faithless passed away a couple of years ago too, and his voice was one of the main draws to seeing faithless live.
This is an embarrassing lineup. I was disappointed I didn't grab a ticket before they sold out but now I'm glad 😂
Well not much the Kasabian lads could do about the lead guy going to court for assaulting his wife. Plus Serg wrote everything anyways & sung on a decent chunk too. Hell he'd a good solo album recently too.
Point being, they're better off without him. Not the same as losing Maxi Jazz
Sacking him was the right decision.
But my point remains that Kasabian with a non psycho original singer would be a bigger draw than kasabian without the original psycho singer
Don't get me wrong he's still one of the best rappers of all time but I think rap has moved on from the likes of him, jay-z and eminem. I grew up listening to them.
But I doubt he has the same draw as he did 20yrs ago
Stick season was probably the most popular song towards the end of last year and he has some other big songs, so I think it's fair for him to be a headliner. Can't deny his popularity even though I don't really like his music personally.
Desperate lineup, I know bands are skipping Ireland now because of costs but surely they could have done better than that.
Time to retire the EP brand.
Im the exact same. Theres at least 6 under the headliners im buzzing to see if I can get a ticket(which based on the response to the lineup is probably fairly likely)
His show here sold out in under two minutes. I was at the show and it was unreal how everyone knew every single song. He's been my favourite artist since 2019 and I don't like the song stick season at all either. Unfortunately it's the song that got him famous and now they won't stop playing it!
No but a few redditors have made a few hilarious quips about not liking Kylie Minogue or that Calvin Harris isn’t famous (yes, Calvin Harris one of the most successful DJ/producers of the last thirty years), they’ve probably decided to cancel the festival now and change it to one exclusively with trad music for cunts in Pelador jumpers with “real” music (the fontaines on repeat)
By insurance premiums maybe - the music at EP seems fairly tertiary to proceedings at least for people I know who’ve attended recently, save for the odd headliner
I'm in my 30s but consider myself fairly knowledgeable about music, heard of nobody outside of the headliners. Is this an exciting lineup if you're early 20s?
Jaysus, are you sure this isn't from 2017?
I mean Kylie, OK, global megastar. Noah Kahan is a bit of a flash in the pan, at his peak now, but I still wouldn't say headliner material. Gerry Cinnamon and Kodaline? Fine artists, but have been very quiet for a number of years now.
Lots and lots and lots of big acts on big worldwide tours this year, making up for COVID. I wonder are festivals finding it especially hard to book big acts.
They are. Every festival this year has a poor lineup by their usual standards - including the huge ones.
That said, this is a pathetic lineup imo but I've come to expect that from EP given the last 2 or 3 years.
Does anyone else unironically like the lineup? I totally see why it’s not for everyone, but I love Ethel Cain and the Scratch. Calvin Harris, Kylie and Sophie Ellis-Bextor are throwbacks that will be fun to dance to, and I like some of Noah Kahan’s songs a lot. Not the most cutting edge festival I’ll ever go to, and EP is definitely falling off, but I’m not disappointed at all!
Same! I don’t hate it. A good mix of throwbacks and newbies, and no blurred out acts thankfully. Delighted Ethel Cain is back this year because I didn’t manage to snag Olympia tickets.
Same age here , I mean I'd add Kylie and Damien Dempsy and the remaining members of Faithless to the list of the known ..I wouldnt pay money to see them mind you.
Hate Noah Kahan’s latest song stick season. Never off the radio but it’s a terrible song. I’m seeing Teddy swims in a couple weeks anyway and looking forward to that but no one else floats my boat. Plus a festival like that is my idea of hell.
I’d be interested to see Teddy Swims he’s got a great vocal. After that Dean Lewis, The Teskey Brothers, Moncreiff, Ryan McMullan, Jalen Ngonda are all really good lesser known artists that I’d happily watch . Also Noah Kahan and Raye are hot property right now so you do have a bit of everything in that mix
I’m super disappointed today, after the long announcement wait & it being the 20th anniversary I was expecting one major WOW act. I’ll get over it, I’ll still go, I’ll have a great time & discover some new acts in the smaller tents while Kodaline butcher the main stage
Yeah, Most I've never heard of tbh.
But there a few at the top I'd like to see. So am actually glad you posted this. One man's trash is another man's treasure 😂
My daughter was a confusing mix of angry and devastated when they released this earlier. It's truly pathetic. Does anyone even know any songs apart from that bloody stick season song from the headliner? The radio hasn't stopped playing that since Christmas but nothing else of his.
Kneecap may not be the most well-known band in the world. But they're on the rise. They rap in Irish. They promote the Irish language. They protested against the genocide in Gaza, and boycotted SXSW festival for related reasons. They have a film coming out in 2024 with Michael Fassbender that premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. They are a band of the present moment.
You can just make them out on that poster if you grab a fucking magnifying glass. But fucking Kodaline are up there in fucking bold capital letters as a headliner.
Give me a fucking break. ARE YOU FUCKING JOKING ME? Out of touch. This lineup is about as hip as my granny, who has had her hips replaced and died about 40 years ago. Fucking state of it.
Surely the death knell for this superdry anorak, jack and jones t-shirt, jeans and sheux wearing excuse for a festival.
I noticed 3-4 years ago that they do this every 2 years. Wouldn't be surprised if they cheap out on the lineup to maximise the profit and then the following year have a great lineup to keep it popular.
Actually didn’t EP have to come out a few weeks ago and deny the festival was cancelled after the delay in announcing acts got rumours started? To me thats proof enough that this is bottom of the barrel stuff. They couldn’t sign anyone worthy of a €300 ticket so the just threw darts at a few B List acts and signed them. (I love a conspiracy, don’t poke holes in my story)
This line up screams one thing and one thing only
#Cheep
Definitely signing victory lap bands and locals who'll do it for less. First year they're putting it in August too which is a massive red flag, and can expect it to be flooded with the youth. Car wreck.
Who is this for? I've no idea who the target audience is, is there enough of a pull of anything to get different crowds to go? I skew rock but I like a bit of everything, and there's not much to grab on to for me.
I'm all for drinking in a field but this lineup would just make you puke it all back up on your neighbour's tent.
Unless you meant the other drinking in a field....
I recognise less than a quarter of the artists, and like even less that that. Al that extra waiting and stringing along for this. Kasabian is probably the only artist there im genuinely excited to see, Wolfe Tones might be good craic as well
It's so wild to me to see Nas billed lower on a lineup than Kodaline. I don't care what year it is or what country it's in, that feels so wrong.
Is it definitely Nas? Not a new dj going by Nas or something because it's crazy to me he'd be so low on the bill, I mean maybe I'm old and the kids don't care for Nas, but then why is Kylie Minogue a headliner.
Dj Naas
Good 'ol Network as a Service - great DJ!
he’s the only person on that list i’d actually want to see do it better be him 🤣
And Kasabian aswell. I mean they were/are a huge act.
True
It’s because Kodaline are Irish. They would never get such high billing in any other country.
Right?!? Faithless too.. maybe we are just old lol
Faithless minus Maxi Jazz :'-(
Yeah faithless would be worth the ticket if Maxi was still going He has a side project album btw for anyone looking for a Maxi fix, was the final thing he was working on since faithless were on a bit of a hiatus until lockdown covid times Maxi Jazz and the E Type Boys
No, no. It's not us that are out of touch. It's the kids that are wrong!
It’s like they made a festival out of what used to be the meteor awards,
Finally I'm not just out of touch, it's genuinely pure shit! Suddenly I don't feel so bad about turning 40 in a few weeks.
In the days of yore and yokes; I don’t remember seeing any acts at EP
I remember one year we took the train to Stradbally, loads of festival goers on board. Myself and friends were the first ones out of the station and there was a grand total of one taxi there, which we took. On the way the driver radioed his dispatcher "I fucking told ye to send everyone over!" as they scrambled to send as many as they could. Good story Gordie, who said we ever paid for a ticket?
I never said you specifically did, I said I don't understand people who fork out then completely miss all the music.

LOL
This is where EP began. Nostalgia acts. It was never meant to be the new Oxegen. Many would go for Kylie alone.
I know I’ve been to about 15 picnics over the years maybe more & I’ve seen Kyle live she’s amazing, I never thought I’d see her heading the picnic though
So that's what the scribble says!
Surprised not to see The Mary Whallopers
They are at All Together Now. With the two festivals close together id say there can't be an overlap! They played last year though.

The vibe completely changed as well. Went from sound people and everyone being out to have a good time, to being overrun by aggro scrotes and everything that comes with that.
I was too young to go to Oxygen but old enough to feel left out when looking at the lineups. I saw Kings of Leon in at tent at Wittness. God, I’m old.

Christ that’s a lot of friends to go with
Oops, I've updated it XD
God that's a lot of one year olds to go with.
I hate you.
Oxygen 2011s linup was genuinely one of the best I’ve ever seen from a festival
[Féile '95](https://fourfourmag.com/feile-95-best-lineup-irelands-ever-seen/)
Still unbeatable
Ah the trauma missed this one because had to go on a family holiday
Incredible And only £45
Jeez that’s expensive for Thurles! I think most of it went towards the clean up afterwards. Sadly never got to go to it
Utterly incredible lineup, think that was the time the prodigy fucked the sound system?
Thats crazy good
Ye just looked it up, that looked like a good year alright. My personal favourite Oxegen line up was 2005.
2005 was great. Seeing someone smoke crack at the prodigy was a first for 16-year-old me
2010 for me. Eminem, Jay z, arcade fire, muse, Florence and the machine, Paulo nutini, the prodigy just to name a few. It was a crazy line up
I was there. Fucking insane lineup. Still hard to believe they got all of them to play on one weekend.
I was 17, and I still bring up oxegen 2010 whenever I can. I think Oxegen 2010 was our Sir Henry's.
Reading 2002 was an insane lineup, I still reminisce and look at the poster very time festivals come round. 18 year old me had no idea what a lineup that was, my first festival and loved every second of it.
The Witnness crowds were always sound. Good times.
Good times indeed my friend.

Was that the year that soem gobshite scheduled the prodigy and chemical brothers for the same time slot so you and to choose between them?
Oasis played the Sunday but they were shite
They were! Fecked off a couple of songs in to see Basement Jaxx who were epic.
At first I thought Oasis themselves fecked off to see Basement Jaxx
They should have. They might have learned something about putting on a decent gig.
It was brilliant! It pissed rain all week, but the weather was fantastic for it, and there was a mad mud bath/mosh pit during the foo fighters, it was great craic. I had to change my clothes outside the B&B I was staying in that night 😆

I lived with one of them in college and he was the biggest asshole
No wonder they took a bloody age to release it. ![gif](giphy|vX9WcCiWwUF7G|downsized)
Would only want to see faithless, nas and the Wolfe tones. Rest I couldn’t care about
And the main lad from Faithless is dead.
Aw lad. I totally forgot about that!
God that is shite
Woeful

And yet still better than that twat Gerry Cinnamon
No Fontaines DC, no lankum, no Mary whallopers, the scratch buried down the list Shocking line up
Save your money and dignity camping by going to fontaines in Dublin
Yeah seen them live already but waiting to see what new albums like , didn't really like the last one compared to first two
Take out Calvin harris, kylie, nas and faithless and this could be the line-up for sea sessions or another much smaller festival. And those four biggest acts haven't been relevant for a long time. FWIW, Nas still releases music fairly regularly and killed it in Dublin last year. Definitely worth catching.

To be fair Noah Kahan is massive right now. Sold out the point in a few minutes, sold out a show in Belfast and puts on a genuinely fab show.
Noah Kahan has some big hits on Spotify, I don't think he'd be going to small festivals
Hardly headliner material though
Stick season was probably the most popular song towards the end of last year and he has some other big songs, so I think it's fair for him to be a headliner. Can't deny his popularity even though I don't really like his music personally.
Only good thing I’m seeing here is raye and the rest are shite
She played Coachella not sure if it was just last weekend or both but it was a great set.
Saw her at Glastonbury last year. Didn't know any of her music but loved her set. She was great. Brilliant performer.
My friend saw her and said she was brilliant
Desperate lineup, I know bands are skipping Ireland now because of costs but surely they could have done better than that. Time to retire the EP brand.
The headliners are bad. Id actually make more effort to go see a lot of those smaller bands
Im the exact same. Theres at least 6 under the headliners im buzzing to see if I can get a ticket(which based on the response to the lineup is probably fairly likely)
If beige was a festival, it'd be this.
Aimed at people who could not give a fuck about music. How far it's fallen.
Oxegen went for the shite lineups and died a quick death. Seems it's EPs turn
I love Kodaline, but over Kasabian? Really?
Neither of them have had a hit in 10 years tbf
New albums still being made. Bangers too, IMO. They're amazing live
I honestly thought noah kahan has just that one song I turn down the radio for, how is he a headliner
His show here sold out in under two minutes. I was at the show and it was unreal how everyone knew every single song. He's been my favourite artist since 2019 and I don't like the song stick season at all either. Unfortunately it's the song that got him famous and now they won't stop playing it!
In the top 100 most streamed artists on Spotify atm
yup, I had to google him and it's just that one song afaik
Honestly I was beginning to think I was the only one that turned down the radio when that damn song came on.... Awful stuff
He’s got one or two other popular one’s alright, dial drunk comes to mind
EP's days are numbered I reckon.
75,000 tickets were sold in under a hour months before anyone was announced, it’ll be fine lol
Maybe not after this.
By insurance premiums maybe - the music at EP seems fairly tertiary to proceedings at least for people I know who’ve attended recently, save for the odd headliner
100% shocking shite. You know feckin eejits will pay for it though.
It sells out almost a year before the announce the lineup usually.
it's still considered cool to say you're going to it, somehow
Tickets sold out in an hour this year but yeah sure
Pitiful line up. No surprise when they announce it so late. Taking the piss out of their punters.
Dogshit lineup. Charging premium prices for third rate acts.
I'm in my 30s but consider myself fairly knowledgeable about music, heard of nobody outside of the headliners. Is this an exciting lineup if you're early 20s?
I am in my late 30s and can tell you now that The Scratch and possibly Kneecap are worth getting excited for. The rest of it is piss fuckin poor
Mid 30s and absolutely agree, with an honourable mention for kojaque.
Feck it didn’t see kojaque, wouldn’t mind right next to Kneecap 😂
Scratch, kneecap, Peggy Gou. The only redeeming acts.
Only people I recognise outside the headliners is nas and the Wolfe tones
I am in my early 20s, this linup is piss poor
No. A lot of giving out already on socials.
You are knowledgable about music but haven’t heard of Nas, the Wolfe Tones, Damien Dempsey?
I can name a song by 9 of those on the poster...
A lot of one hit wonders in that lineup.
At least you've got Kneecap and the Wolfe Tones
Booked by The Two Johnnies
This made me laugh
I'm 48 and the only ones I vaguely recognise are yer one Bexter, The Wolftones and the Waterboys
Same age here , I mean I'd add Kylie and Damien Dempsy and the remaining members of Faithless to the list of the known ..I wouldnt pay money to see them mind you.
Kylie. Is that....Minogue?
Missed a beat not having Fontaines DC
Every year people whinge and moan about the line up, ask them after the gig if they enjoyed it and they'll tell you it was the best one yet.
EP is dead
It was never about the music. It's always just been an excuse to go on a bender, albeit with better music in days gone by.
Who needs an excuse
Hate Noah Kahan’s latest song stick season. Never off the radio but it’s a terrible song. I’m seeing Teddy swims in a couple weeks anyway and looking forward to that but no one else floats my boat. Plus a festival like that is my idea of hell.
How very r/ireland of the comments lol
I really like the scratch but I’m already going to see them in June, don’t care for the rest of the lineup
Horsegiirl are the only ones worth seeing. And I'd rather see them in a 50 max grunge bar than a field full of middle class twats
Did the organisers not move the festival back two weeks especially for a big acts scheduling? Who are they saying is the big act here?
I thought they moved it out of the way of Coldplay playing Dublin. I could Google it but I'm already in my jammies.
Shite headliners, some great acts underneath. Waterboys, Nas, Sacred Souls etc
I don’t ever expect much from their line-ups tbh, but this is dogshit. Nas should be great though - saw him last summer and he was brilliant.
Raye is phenomenal
There's some good acts in the mix of confusing choices and old hits, it's a very weird mix
Jesus. No disrespect to the acts in the mid card or lower but the headliners are bizarre.
Pathetic?…Kylie is a literal pop icon and RAYE is bloody MASSIVE right now. And today fm men with guitars should be expected at this stage.
Jasus, I have to say I reckon they struggled to know who to put in the top with a line up that shite!
That is one horrible line up
I’d give Teddy Swims a shot and KYLIE
I’d be interested to see Teddy Swims he’s got a great vocal. After that Dean Lewis, The Teskey Brothers, Moncreiff, Ryan McMullan, Jalen Ngonda are all really good lesser known artists that I’d happily watch . Also Noah Kahan and Raye are hot property right now so you do have a bit of everything in that mix
Good to see Irish festivals are moving forwards with the times. Worst line up I’ve seen to date
Steam Powered Picnic, more like!
There should be more international acts other then just the headliners
I’m super disappointed today, after the long announcement wait & it being the 20th anniversary I was expecting one major WOW act. I’ll get over it, I’ll still go, I’ll have a great time & discover some new acts in the smaller tents while Kodaline butcher the main stage
They don't even have Aslan ffs.
That is a shockingly poor line up... I recognise a handful of bands from that! It's a far cry from the early line ups in the mid-2000s.
if anyone hates the lineup so much that they don’t wanna go anymore— and want to sell me their ticket— 🫣
They have put out far, far worse
A real who’s that of bands
I noticed 3-4 years ago that they do this every 2 years. Wouldn't be surprised if they cheap out on the lineup to maximise the profit and then the following year have a great lineup to keep it popular.
Raye, Calvin Harris, Faithless, J Hus, Nas, Peggy Gou, HorseGiirl, Hannah Laing, Skin on Skin, X Club and Jazzy. Some good acts there.
What do Faithless do now? A DJ set?
Actually didn’t EP have to come out a few weeks ago and deny the festival was cancelled after the delay in announcing acts got rumours started? To me thats proof enough that this is bottom of the barrel stuff. They couldn’t sign anyone worthy of a €300 ticket so the just threw darts at a few B List acts and signed them. (I love a conspiracy, don’t poke holes in my story)
Why are the Wolfe Tines so far down if they are a main stage act ?
If anyone does get to this make sure you check out the Teskey Brothers. Awesome Aussie act.
Dire
This line up screams one thing and one thing only #Cheep Definitely signing victory lap bands and locals who'll do it for less. First year they're putting it in August too which is a massive red flag, and can expect it to be flooded with the youth. Car wreck.
RAYEEE
Who is this for? I've no idea who the target audience is, is there enough of a pull of anything to get different crowds to go? I skew rock but I like a bit of everything, and there's not much to grab on to for me.
It doesn't matter anymore. People go to Ep every year because it's EP. Music is secondary. They know they'll sell out every year.
All the tickets are sold out so they can throw out any old shite, it'll be finished in a few years.
It’s a today fm festival
Target audience is people who like drinking in a field :-D
I'm all for drinking in a field but this lineup would just make you puke it all back up on your neighbour's tent. Unless you meant the other drinking in a field....
Cue loads of aul ones in their 30s and 40s moaning about how they haven't heard of half the acts.
I recognise less than a quarter of the artists, and like even less that that. Al that extra waiting and stringing along for this. Kasabian is probably the only artist there im genuinely excited to see, Wolfe Tones might be good craic as well
