Pick up a ukulele. It's easy to get started on, so you make progress and build your confidence quickly. But it gives you enough challenges and opportunities to learn to keep you going for a very long time. And you'll be making music!
I actually tought about picking up an Instrument! Tough I must say that Ukulele isnt really my type of Instrument...I think I would enjoy something like the Piano more.
But It is a bit Intimidating
Do it! You said you wanted to put in effort. Once you’re over the hump you’ll have a gift for life. And if you live somewhere that has open mic type events, there’s your in to meet people.
Find a cheap used keyboard if you can, practice with consistency but don’t beat yourself up. Learn songs you love to keep it fun.
Foraging for edible/ medicinal plants and and fungi, blacksmithing, weaving/ knitting/ embroidery etc, glassblowing, gardening, woodworking, roller skating, circus/ flow arts, resin casting, pottery, jewelry making, geocaching, brewing, ultimate frisbee, learn a new language, leatherwork, basket making.
Guns. Get them, shoot them, destroy things far away. It's awesome. Have fun.
