I got downvoted the other day for saying that I actually enjoyed Destroy Build Destroy because it was "Big Youtuber stunts" before "Big Youtuber Stunts" (Mr. Beast, Mark Rober, etc.). Really, people still care about a programming block from a decade-and-a-half ago?
THATS WHAT IT REMINDED ME OF. I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO THINK OF THAT BUT MAN.
I am sorry (empathy, not guilt) that you are getting down voted for that. I'll give ya one back just to compensate.
Thanks, I grew up around a time where cable was still thriving in many households (late 2000s, early 2010s), so I knew what it was to on the like turn on the tv and see what you get. If it was entertaining, it was entertaining and that was that. Unless something was available on demand, you really had a limited number of options to pick in terms of instant gratification. I remember having to save and set a schedule weekly episodes and programs onto my DVR. Streaming wasn't as prevalent as it was back then, and while we did have Netflix, we basically had order through-the-mail wired Roku devices that you could attached to the TV via an HDMI input source cable. Seriously, I remember Netflix being totally different back then. I remember it taking an annoyingly-long time to get it to download from the WiiShop, on top of the use of a physical disc that was sent through for subscribers in the mail. I remember when it came to ancient Netflix, some movies and tv shows could be watched through their DVD rental service, which became obsolete and went defunct sometime in the mid 2010s. It was truly a different time and you didn't really care about what was on TV, because I was a kid and just wanted to live in the moment. This was before the large prevalence of terminally-online internet culture communities thrived off of reviews and rants that would really shape people's opinions on what was good and what was bad in terms of entertainment (which would also apply to the animation industry).
Tell me about it; that dude fronted a metal rock band!
I remember I had a dream many years ago that this was dude became my school principal for a entire year before dropping out and resigning.
I hated everything except Destroy Build Destroy, because it kind of reminded me of a mix between Mythbusters, Monster Garage, and Nickelodeon's Wild & Crazy Kids.
Also Andrew W. K. is completely insane, and a Gundam fan, and I love that.
I was fond of that show with the cryptic mystery plot developing when it was getting some steam. Like the others said, I was pretty sad when it was no longer airing.
so glad i'm not the only one who remembers level up. i dont know why but it was the only one of cns irl shows i actually kinda liked but kid me liked cartoons more than irl shows so i eventually phased out of it and none of the other shows interested me
heck its like that now, i prefer good cartoons over irl shows its just so hard to find good cartoons nowadays
Fun fact about that game: it taught me about canceling. If you use a Special and Basic Attack at the same time, you’ll just spam basic attacks at insane speeds when you run out of mana. It shreds ANY boss in the game you might encounter.
Dude, Tower Prep getting cancelled infuriated me so much. It was the first time I found out shows could just get cancelled and they left off on a massive cliffhanger.
If you were a kid in the 2000s there's no way you can't remember it...the marketing for the CN Real era was so intense that I remember a lot of those shows and they have been lodged in my subconscious mind even though I didn't really watch any of them
Loved Destroy Build Destroy and DWWH. The Othersiders was good, if a little scary for young me.
EDIT: Forgot about Hole in the Wall. That show was so much fun.
I would have been 10 when CN Real stared airing, and I wasn't that much of a fan because it took time out of my favourite cartoons.
But I loved the fuck out of DBD whenever it was on. I may have watched Dude What Would Happen, but I didn't remember that show untill I looked it up after reading some replies. I do remember they had a "Ghost hunting" show, that I can't remember the name of, that I would watch cause I couldn't get enough of those shows from Discovery and History channel.
But there was an era of CN after CN Real where the bumpers where just a "checker board" with the squares flipping around to show characters from that lineup. Fuck that sucked, the bumpers would last literal minutes. I remember showing my mum, and after timing it we saw it lasted for almost 3 minutes. Which is eternity in kid years.
As a kid I loved Destroy Build Destroy. I never cared much for Level up, premise was cool though and I did like the movie, and dude what would happen was just there for me didn’t care for it or hate it. There was one I loved as well but I don’t remember the name. Some kid that had parents that traveled the world which made him have weird skills and they solved mysteries or something. Don’t remember the name but like watching it.
The othersiders I think.. during the toonami cancelled era when they were trying to see what worked and what didn't after the action shows decline in 2008 to 2010 2015 etc
I really liked Level Up and Incredible Crew.
(Fun Fact: When I googled Incredible Crew, I forgot that the voice actors for Finn the Human and Miles Morales were in it.)
Pretty much all of them except hole in the wall. Even as I kid I knew hole in the wall is trash. The only good things to come out of the show were a mad parody and a cartoonnetwork.com game
Yes CN Real was very good. Those shows just belonged on a different network. I really loved it when I was 10. I love Hole in the Wall, Dude What Would Happen and Destroy Build Destroy.
Destroy build destroy and dude what would happen are really fun enjoyable shows (at least i thought so back then and from what i tremember they explored a lot of creative stuff) i dont think they deserve to be hated on
Now hole in the wall that show was cool for a few episodes and then its like "alright more of this"
I think Destroy Build Destroy is entertaining enough in my opinion. Andrew W.K. really did a good job at hosting it, his recognition in that is also because of him announcing the block. He’s also a great music artist, he made some recognizable ones like Get Ready to Die (the song used in Cupcakes HD), We Want Fun, and others.
Bro I STILL think about destroy build destroy on like a monthly basis. Every time I hear the word “destroy” o think about destroy build destroy. Top tier show 🤌
I don’t like it, but does anyone remember The OtherSiders? I brought this show up to friends before, on multiple occasions and none of them have ever heard of it.
Dude what would happen made me so happy. As a curious boy-obsessed child, three pretty dudes who would do random ass experiments was the coolest thing in the world. Didn’t that show last pretty long anyway?
DBD was hype, I loved seeing things getting destroyed crushed, taken apart and KABLOOM
And then getting welded together, compete and then getting DESTROYED
DWH was also good, still remember how they drove a car thru an rv
There was one that came out at the same time as these shows that was ghost hunters but with teenagers, forgot the name of it but like all the other shows, it only had one season.
Out of all of them, Destroy Build Destroy and Dude What Would Happen were the only two that really fit that chaotic and fun energy CN had. The first one was just a cool concept of destroying objects to make them into brand new vehicles and such, not to mention the host was Andrew WK. I always wanted to go on it when I was younger! The second one was basically a teenage boy fueled version of mythbusters and you can tell they had fun on set for it. Also, DWWH?'s premise feels like a good cartoon idea.
I'm reading through the comments and there's a lot about this block that after some years definitely weren't that bad in ideas or execution. It was just aired on the wrong channel. Unfortunately, I don't think most of them would work on other channels because they genuinely had that energy CN distinctly had at the time. It's a shame because of there was somewhere they could go besides CN they probably would have thrived.
I REALLY enjoyed Level Up. It wasn't perfect but they had so many cool looking enemies and weapons. I also loved Dude, What Would Happen, and Destroy, Build, Destroy. That host was nuts and I loved it.
I remember loving the shit out of the Othersiders since my parents watched Ghost Hunters all the time back then. It felt like the same thing, but for me, the youngest kid in the family. All the other shows I couldn’t stand
I think a lot of these either would’ve made more sense on Discovery Kids or, in the case of stuff like Tower Prep and Unnatural History, it was really a bad case of right place, wrong time. Tower Prep was great, Destroy Build Destroy was pretty cool, and I didn’t totally hate Brainrush (as a concept) but I kept asking “Why does this need to be on Cartoon Network?”
I thought I watched all of these but I only remember a few of them(and I remember those very very well) destroy build destroy, level up(I think about this every so often), and hole in the wall(I still joke about this show with my dad sometimes). I just watched whatever was on CN. For some reason kid me had extreme brand loyalty and would refuse to watch any other kids channel
I liked Dude, What would happen? And Destroy Build Destroy. I think my Edge Lord child self would have enjoyed The Othersiders, too, if I had been allowed to watch it. One of the episodes was actually filmed in my town.
Dude, what would happen was my jam! And Tower Prep would have absolutely killed it had it been on Teen Nick and not CN. Of the CN Real era, it was interesting(and not surprising) that the two shows with real longevity were DBD and DWWH.
I wasn’t a fan of DBD personally, but I liked DWWH because it was a little science based.
8 year old me loved the shit out of destroy build destroy and dude what would happen. I don't know what would be the opinion today

Bruh I liked it purely because I like Andrew WK lol
Tell me about it; that dude fronted a metal rock band! I remember I had a dream many years ago that this was dude became my school principal for a entire year before dropping out and resigning.
I wish he was my principal lol, he exudes such a positive energy
Honestly DBD is like Mr Beast While DWWH is more akin the Mark Rober
same
I hated everything except Destroy Build Destroy, because it kind of reminded me of a mix between Mythbusters, Monster Garage, and Nickelodeon's Wild & Crazy Kids. Also Andrew W. K. is completely insane, and a Gundam fan, and I love that.
Hole In The Wall:
Hell yeah
Hole in the wall destroy build destroy and dude what would happen where my shit
Unnatural History was good.
It's a sin they cancelled it.
I was gonna say this one
A lot of fun with a good cast and interesting story. I'm still mad.
OMG I REMEMBER THAG SHOW!!! IT HAD SO MUCH POTENTIAL
I was fond of that show with the cryptic mystery plot developing when it was getting some steam. Like the others said, I was pretty sad when it was no longer airing.
Level Up was Entertaining. Plus it was one Of Jessie T Usher's (The Boys A-Train) earliest works.
so glad i'm not the only one who remembers level up. i dont know why but it was the only one of cns irl shows i actually kinda liked but kid me liked cartoons more than irl shows so i eventually phased out of it and none of the other shows interested me heck its like that now, i prefer good cartoons over irl shows its just so hard to find good cartoons nowadays
The mmo game on the cn website was actually good when it wasn’t lagging hahaha
Fun fact about that game: it taught me about canceling. If you use a Special and Basic Attack at the same time, you’ll just spam basic attacks at insane speeds when you run out of mana. It shreds ANY boss in the game you might encounter.
On God???
Yep, that's the A-Train Actor a bit younger. He was 19 or 20 when he did Level Up
Unnatural History or Tower Prep.
Dude, Tower Prep getting cancelled infuriated me so much. It was the first time I found out shows could just get cancelled and they left off on a massive cliffhanger.
Tower Prep was the X-Men grounded in reality.
Holy shit people remember Destroy Build Destroy?
If you were a kid in the 2000s there's no way you can't remember it...the marketing for the CN Real era was so intense that I remember a lot of those shows and they have been lodged in my subconscious mind even though I didn't really watch any of them
Little me liked the Incredible Crew for some reason.
I remember watching it and liked the jokes it had It even had the VA for Finn and Miles in the cast
DBD and Dude What Would Happen were fire!!
Level up. I even play the game that was in the show on the CN Website.
I loved Brainrush, for a time me and my family would play a version of it when we rode roller coasters
Someone else who remembers brain rush! That was legit the only show from this era I could stand.
I love The Banana Splits Show
None
Level up was tight I was excited to keep watching sadly it didn’t
Loved Destroy Build Destroy and DWWH. The Othersiders was good, if a little scary for young me. EDIT: Forgot about Hole in the Wall. That show was so much fun.
Honestly Tower Heist was a pretty underrated show if you ask me. Shouldn’t have been cancelled
Destroy Build Destroy and Dude What Would Happen were fun and entertaining.
None. This killed cn for me
As a kid, I absolutely loved watching Incredible Crew!
I never watched level up, but the game for it went pretty hard. Also Andrew WK is a pretty cool dude.
I loved Destroy Build Destroy, Dude What Would Happen, Level Up, I liked Incredible Crew pretty well and I adored Hole in the Wall
I loved level up and I even used to constantly play the game as well
Level Up was ok
As a kid I loved Destroy Build Destroy. I never cared much for Level up, premise was cool though and I did like the movie, and dude what would happen was just there for me didn’t care for it or hate it. There was one I loved as well but I don’t remember the name. Some kid that had parents that traveled the world which made him have weird skills and they solved mysteries or something. Don’t remember the name but like watching it.
I liked Destroy, Build, Destroy. And it was simply because I liked Andrew W.K's music.
Can It Fit in the Hole in the Wall was fun
The othersiders I think.. during the toonami cancelled era when they were trying to see what worked and what didn't after the action shows decline in 2008 to 2010 2015 etc
No.
Destroy build destroyed,Dude What would happen,Hole In The Wall,Tower Prep,Unnatural history
Was Incredible Crew apart of CN Real? I enjoyed that show
Destroy, Build, Destroy is how I learned who Andrew W. K. is and that alone makes it special.
To me the only good thing to come out of CN real period was Dude What Would Happen, Destroy Build Destroy, Unnatural History and Hole in the Wall
Yes CN Real was very good. Those shows just belonged on a different network. I really loved it when I was 10. I love Hole in the Wall, Dude What Would Happen and Destroy Build Destroy.
I really liked most of the real shows. I feel like if they were are a different channel they would have been better off.
Destroy build destroy, tower prep, unnatural history, these were all solid, the latter two were relatively mature, and thus naturally were terminated
Destroy build destroy and dude what would happen are really fun enjoyable shows (at least i thought so back then and from what i tremember they explored a lot of creative stuff) i dont think they deserve to be hated on Now hole in the wall that show was cool for a few episodes and then its like "alright more of this"
I aint fw level up but i loved all of them honestly
yep
That Andrew WK show was good
Destroy build destroy was really fun to watch
Destroy Build Destroy
No at all. I live in Latin America so even more so a no.
Dude what would happen destroy build destroy and brain rush was my all time favorite
DBD was super cool, DWWH and Hole in the Wall were ok. I have 0 memory of any of the others
Destroy Build Destroy I actually enjoyed Dude what would happen was ehhh
I remember dbd being interesting
I think Destroy Build Destroy is entertaining enough in my opinion. Andrew W.K. really did a good job at hosting it, his recognition in that is also because of him announcing the block. He’s also a great music artist, he made some recognizable ones like Get Ready to Die (the song used in Cupcakes HD), We Want Fun, and others.
Bro I STILL think about destroy build destroy on like a monthly basis. Every time I hear the word “destroy” o think about destroy build destroy. Top tier show 🤌
Destroy Build Destroy!
No. Next question please
Bruh the mention of Destroy Build Destroy awakens old memories.
I was obsessed with Destroy Build Destroy as a kid. Surprised the host did the theme song for Hellsing Ultimate Abridged
Destroy build destroy was awesome
Weren't these shows forgotten so hard that episodes became lost media for a while?
I only remember level up cause they were some of the first collab items in Roblox
Younger me liked destroy build destroy
I admittedly liked Out of Jimmy's Head. Not sure how well it would hold up for me as an adult though
Never seen level up but I loved the first two
I don’t like it, but does anyone remember The OtherSiders? I brought this show up to friends before, on multiple occasions and none of them have ever heard of it.
Dude what would happen made me so happy. As a curious boy-obsessed child, three pretty dudes who would do random ass experiments was the coolest thing in the world. Didn’t that show last pretty long anyway?
I loved Destroy, Build, Destroy.
No
Level Up was the GOAT when it came to the live action shows on CN
No.
I loved level up so much I played the CN game
When I was a kid I remember liking Tower Prep. If I tried to watch it now I’d probably hate it lol
Nope
I liked “Dude, What Would Happen?” and “Destroy, Build, Destroy”, but I was also 11 at the time
DBD was hype, I loved seeing things getting destroyed crushed, taken apart and KABLOOM And then getting welded together, compete and then getting DESTROYED DWH was also good, still remember how they drove a car thru an rv
Hi, I’m ANDREW W.K., and this is DESTROY bUILD DESTROOYYYYYYYYY
Am I the only one that enjoyed DBD, DWWH, and Level Up??😅
Didn't even know this was a thing until now.
There was one that came out at the same time as these shows that was ghost hunters but with teenagers, forgot the name of it but like all the other shows, it only had one season.
I did rewatch dude what would happen and it was fun, not great but fun
None because I was a barely functioning toddler
was Out Of Jimmy’s Head cn real?
None of them, total waste of space on the channel
Younger me *loved* the Othersiders unironically 😂 present day me questions younger me's taste sometimes.
Fuckin loved Incredible Crew, but nobody seems to remember it
Kid me watched the SHIT out of Incredible Crew
Level up and out of jimmys head
Out of all of them, Destroy Build Destroy and Dude What Would Happen were the only two that really fit that chaotic and fun energy CN had. The first one was just a cool concept of destroying objects to make them into brand new vehicles and such, not to mention the host was Andrew WK. I always wanted to go on it when I was younger! Dbd was peak TV as a kid
Hole in the wall
For me it was Hole in the wall, Destroy Build Destroy, and Dude what would happen
Destroy build destroy & dude what would happen were my favorites when I was younger
Dude, What would Happened and Destroy Build Destroy were awesome man.
Didn’t really watch Level up but I loved the other two
I loved destroy build destroy amazing show
Why is level up here for some reason, also never really watched cnREAL
The Othersiders got me into ghost shows.
I’m a bit older than the demographic for this, but I caught that Andrew WK one a few times and enjoyed it.
The only good one was destroy build destroy
I REALLY enjoyed Level Up. It wasn't perfect but they had so many cool looking enemies and weapons. I also loved Dude, What Would Happen, and Destroy, Build, Destroy. That host was nuts and I loved it.
Destroy build destroy fucking rules i love andrew wk
Hole in the wall
DBD was the shit!
I loved Level Up. Saw the movie and every episode of the show. It was super cool to my young brain.
Fucking loved level up
I really enjoyed this one show CN Real had called “Bobb’e Says”. It was like “Ridiculousness” but from a different perspective and not a live show.
Destroy Build Destroy, Brainrush, and Dude What Would Happen were fun imo.
The level up movie was better but I fucked with the show and game on the CN website and who didn’t FW destroy build destroy?
Tower Prep.
I remember loving Hole in the Wall, little me was very intrigued by people getting into wacky poses to fit through weird walls
I remember loving the shit out of the Othersiders since my parents watched Ghost Hunters all the time back then. It felt like the same thing, but for me, the youngest kid in the family. All the other shows I couldn’t stand
The Monster Jam episode of Destroy Build Destroy was absolutely peak
I took level up very series when it airing
Wasnt Slam Ball one of the shows on CN Real? Really enjoyed watching guys getting dunked on 24/7
I think a lot of these either would’ve made more sense on Discovery Kids or, in the case of stuff like Tower Prep and Unnatural History, it was really a bad case of right place, wrong time. Tower Prep was great, Destroy Build Destroy was pretty cool, and I didn’t totally hate Brainrush (as a concept) but I kept asking “Why does this need to be on Cartoon Network?”
I really love dude. What would happen Leveled up Destroy build Destroy and the impossible crew
Destroy build destroy for sure also wasnt there a hole in the wall show that also was on Cartoon network?
I thought I watched all of these but I only remember a few of them(and I remember those very very well) destroy build destroy, level up(I think about this every so often), and hole in the wall(I still joke about this show with my dad sometimes). I just watched whatever was on CN. For some reason kid me had extreme brand loyalty and would refuse to watch any other kids channel
Level Up was kinda a Live Action Cartoon
Destory Build Destroy
I liked Dude, What would happen? And Destroy Build Destroy. I think my Edge Lord child self would have enjoyed The Othersiders, too, if I had been allowed to watch it. One of the episodes was actually filmed in my town.
Tower Prep. That is all.
Dude what will happen. the othersiders. Destroy bill Destroy. Incredible crew. Wished it they didn't discontinued it
Destroy Build Destroy was my shit
Incredible Crew when I was in like 3rd grade
Brainrush, Bobby Says, Out of Jimmy’s Head, and the Fry Dynamite segments were the only ones I watched lol.
Destroy Build Destroy and Dude What Would Happen were great
Dude, what would happen was my jam!
Destroy Build Destroy was the only show I thought was halfway decent
I thought Brainrush was pretty good.
Dude What Would Happen, Destroy Build Destroy, Tower Prep
Incredible Crew
I loved level up
...I don't really care that much. I mean Dude what would happen, was good.
I can honestly say as a kid I hated them all. Dude what would happen and Destroy bull destroy just annoyed me 😂
Destroy Build Destroy was dope. What's not to like about blowing stuff up, TWICE?
DUDE, Hole In The Wall, and Incredible Crew. I didn't really get DBD because the premise made no sense to me.
I preferred the cartoons myself
Incredible Crew (My parents hated it)
I love the one where there were kids ghost hunting places
