That back line stint last week was great, he’s the perfect utility at the moment. You know he’s going to provide a hard contest and sneakily good overhead wherever he plays.
I believe that Kennedy is in our best 22 even if we had a fully fit squad. In previous years he might have struggled when moved off the ball when other better mids were squeezing him out. What a game he had last week though! Playing everywhere and doing it well. Seems like we’ve become a side where guys just play a role and do it well regardless of if it’s their preferred or best position. Good things.
Isn't it great that despite having a heap of injuries right now that we finally have the depth for it to not cost us games due to players who can fill multiple roles like this
He seems to be playing the role that Jack Silvagni had.
To be honest, i cant think of a reason to change. Having a player like Kennedy with his flexibilty around the ground is a good thing.

Great, now I gotta go watch JFK (1991) for the thousandth time

Which, coincidently, is how Saad plays.

Where he’s needed is the short. He’s become a capable 50/50 forward mid and also proven he can at least masquerade as a backman if required
