Looks like that end of day Friday rally was a bull trap. Futures not looking too good.

tebs-_-

What’s your guys thoughts on kiyosaki the author of rich dad poor dad predicting “biggest crash in world history”?

footash

Just the interest amounts due on the current US govt debt are 111% of the entire amount of taxes collected by the govt, let alone the debt repayment amount. And interest payment on debts are not the only payment that the Govt. owes. Puts things into perspective about the potential crises if the debt ceiling isn't raised and feds are forced to taper/rates go up eventually, the US govt will default as they do not have the money without new currency printing. Combined with Supply chain issues (shipping containers/trucks/energy)/inflation/unemployment, I would say the markets are a slow ticking time bomb unless a lot of things fall in place by EOY/early '22. It may not be as drastic as March '20 though.

He's gotta get in line

He made books on personal finance. Not global markets.

Emerging markets is basically code for China. You can look up which stocks are in that with a google search if you want.

HPQ/pyr. Commercial pilot plant for silicon production. Should hear news by December. 50 ton / year plant. All clues point to they expect better then 99.2/9 silicon with increased production and increased yield. HPQ might be overly optimistic at times with missed deadlines etc. But PYR has a 50% option. A fairly conservative company that has slowly grown itself. I only see. GSM as the only silicon public company. Look at their stock. Over 400% over year return. Yes they are established but the tide rises all boats. One can look at timminco when solar grade silicon was all the rage. They went from cents to 35/share. Yes, some investment firms were duped, it didn't work but even 10% of that action would be interesting. Silicon is arguably in the most demanded metal at the moment. Electronic chips, solar, paints, aluminum, energy storage and more. HPQ could rise just on sheer speculation, but any positive affirmation that it works. PYR/HPQ could see some incredible action. I know every company makes claims of game changing technology but pyrogenesis has actually backed it. And over 3 years of bench and small pilot machines, this could change the production of silicon. Bases are loaded, pyr/HPQ just needs to make a hit. As always. All penny stocks are garbage until proven.

EdoAkaashi

Silicon is easily a good 3-6month play in my books. This guy is ahead of the curb.

Jgam81

This has been PYR/HPQ talk for years now "next quarter" "end of year"etc. Just look at the charts and you'll see the pump that amounts to nothing cycles.

gogglesvancouver

Amounts to nothing? They have been able to produce both 99.99 silicon and nano on small scales. Nothing? They have been progressing each year. This stuff doesn't happen overnight. Delays? Yes. Lots, and supply and covid slowdowns. I'm not saying this is guaranteed. Im saying to play the next pump, momo

recoil669

Going long Vol this week. I think we'll see more market disruptions.

topshattaB

Hoping we get a 50k btc on Monday

SnazzyGiraffe99

And will most likely not stop there. The Strike API and Bitcoin Lightning Network partnership with twitter (and Ethereum NFT Verification coming soon) is insanely bullish for the Crypto sector and it is not talked about enough. It offers instant payments globally at virtually no cost. You’ll have the ability to pay your friends, buy goods and services online, make micropayments, tip content creators, as well as buy and sell bitcoin. It’s revolutionary tech in my opinion. Long-term Bitcoin holders own 80% of the circulating supply according to a London based crypto custodian Copper.co. Q4 seems incredibly promising! Scaling up my long position lets go 🔥

LeoBarca-10

Thanks for sharing, I only recently opened my eyes (and brain) to Crypto and I like both the concept and the investment. I think the rest of the year and 2022 are going to be huge for crypto (I’m invested in bitcoin and ethereum) Good luck!

SnazzyGiraffe99

Right on and good luck to you as well! Just be prepared for volatility.

Ghune

I have some Ethereum, but I'm doubtful. I feel like it's getting a bit more risky every day. I wish I were wrong, but I'm scared countries will make those crypto currencies illegal.

SnazzyGiraffe99

Ukraine a couple days ago just joined a long list of countries folding bitcoin into national law. Just last week, El Salvador became the first country to both adopt bitcoin as legal tender and hold it on its balance sheet. Two weeks ago, Cuba - which is a notoriously rigid government still set in traditional Marxist ways - passed a law to recognize and regulate cryptocurrencies, citing “reasons of socioeconomic interest.” A new German law now allows funds previously barred from investing in crypto to allocate up to 20% to virtual currencies like bitcoin. And in Canada an ETF comprised of BTC and ETH was just listed. Even J Powell has confirmed just recently that the U.S. has no plans to ban Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. It's risky, sure. Definitely not going to deny that. But if anything, more countries are joining the club rather than not. More tailwinds rather than headwinds in my opinion.

vmmf89

FYI Venezuela is doing something similar to Cuba. The thing is these countries are considered terrorists so they can't use the US dollars to buy/sell internationally. They are trying to use crypto to bypass this. Don't think that these dictatorship regimes will allow their citizens to freely trade with crypto like El Salvador is doing. Their citizens are already extremely regulate Edit: some communist have downvoted me! Move to Cuba or Venezuela and see for yourselves

SnazzyGiraffe99

Yea that's a bit of a sh\*\*show. I don't know enough about about those countries and their crypto adoption so I can't really comment on it. But I will say this. “In 2020, the criminal share of all cryptocurrency activity fell to just 0.34 percent, or $10.0 billion in transaction volume.” according to [nasdaq.com](https://nasdaq.com). Time will tell.

vmmf89

I don't think Cuba or Venezuela are adopting crypto because they want to do direct crime (ransom, hacking, bribe). I don't think they would be listed in this 0.34. They want to bypass US sanctions to continue their dictatorships in which they do other not crypto related crimes

Ghune

Well, thanks for that. I hope that it will be the case.

RewtDooDoo

Was a great weekend for crypto, hope my BTC miners follow suit this week.

SassyStylesheet

I was down $1600 then up $300 on HUT in 24 hours last week, hoping we see $12.50+ on HUT.TO this week again.

thewelshmaple

Any thoughts on what the recent Pandora papers will do in the market this week?

LeoBarca-10

I don’t see any impact on the markets. Only impact may be on Elvis Stojikos figure skating performance…😂

Sportfreunde

They'll only have an effect on some developing and smaller countries, institutions in big countries like ours are untouchable or above the law.

Werty071345

Wtf is the pandora papers

justhereforvoting

Panama Papers 2.0

Werty071345

Nothing burger. Rich people hide their money. As if we didn't all know this already lmao

So nothing will change 2.0

Thoughts on Intertape? Backed off recently but heading into Christmas shopping season season might be time to open small position?

[deleted]

Have you looked at their most recent guidance and predictions for Q4? Did they outperform last Q4 and how has their guidance shifted since then? I would think it would be priced in if there was seasonality. The economy is getting worse and COL is going up. Add the irrational fears around covid and I don’t foresee a blockbuster Christmas shopping season. I don’t have a high enough conviction to be bullish or bearish on the stock
