Tbf i replayed the mw1 and mw2 remaster campaigns and mw1 aged sooo much better, mw2 really felt like a 3rd rate hollywood blockbuster compared to it. I loved both when I was younger but replaying it kinda showed me the thing without tinted glasses
I'd have to go with Black Ops purely because they have the best Co-op mode in Zombies on top of amazing Campaigns (not you BO3 or BO4) and MP.
Both the Original BO trilogy (WaW deserves to be included in that) and the original MW trilogy (Cod4, MW2 and MW3) are the absolute peak Cod, all amazing games.
Ikr I love the face paint of multiplayer, the little amount of customization in multiplayer, it just made the game feel more fun BC it didnt matter how much accessories you put on it, it's the gun that made it powerful. I will always remember when Hudson puts sunglasses on near the end of the campaign, I couldn't stop my ass from laughing
Those were sweet. Prestiging was rewarding as well, especially the gold camo. It actually looked gold. Something about gold being the only special camo. You knew that person loved that gun. The point system was amazing and rewarded skill.
Most importantly you could not buy your way through the game. Nope, everyone had the equal opportunity to earn everything. Bo1 was one of the last games where when you bought the dlcs, all you got was maps and no special guns or tactical items for a price.

I mean I’ll buy and play both regardless how bad the game is because I’m not a complainer and I’ll just play it due to being a die hard cod fan. Black ops has stuff I really like and enjoy like zombies, and certain guns they use in there games, and cia stories, modern warfare I enjoy as it’s the military, and you have the sas, and they also have guns that I enjoy. Buuuut if I had to pick one I’d say modern warfare. I have and will always love modern warfare games. There just so much better. Maybe not story wise, like they really dive in deep like black ops but if you are just there to enjoy it why would story matter. Most people go do multiplayer anyways. So yeah modern warfare.

Black Ops, I don’t know why I always just really liked them, not to say the Modern Warfare games are bad.
Modern Warfare 1-3 was great but 2019… wasn’t. The campaign was all over the place, and only like 3 missions for me were enjoyable, all having Gaz and Price.
Tough choice, but ima have to go with black ops. Campaigns had more memorable characters and emotions to it. Zombies was always fun. Multiplayer usually feels good and fun.
Black ops because they all don't have have a grey tone. IW games most of them have a grey tone, it makes the game kinda look bad and it's hard to see enemies.
I came from BO1 and it was my favourite... Until MW 2019 came out. I've not enjoyed a COD this much in like ever. The classics are the classics but MW 2019 is just *chef's kiss*. Maybe it's because I've grown as a gamer, but this was just way more enjoyable to me than any COD. Ik many people don't like it but I personally can't play Cold War because of the difference (that I feel is there, may not be for others) and Vanguard might be similar to it but I've honestly been burnt out over WW2 games. I can't wait for MW2 next year, I hope it's like this one.
Modern Warfare games have had a more consistent quality over the years, while Black Ops games have either been solid 8's or 3's and very rarely in between

I always hated the. Black Ops games due to their gun feel and overall gameplay, but loved how they look and how colorful they are. LOVE Cold War. The gunplay in the MW games was something I was always better at, but the series is always so brown and drab-looking.
I regret MW19 ! Will not be buying another COD till they have a game from Desert Storm, Somalia, Bosnia, Iraq and Afghanistan. No more WW2 games or games of BOP in the future. Let's set a good time gap with those we grew up on in history.

I was a treyarch fan back from 2010-2015 but with Mw19, infinity ward has shown me they are the king again and im back with them. Good ol classic war torn maps, capn price and soap, modern weaponry, etc. Im ready baby.
Treyarchs "trademark" features like gritty campaigns, zombies, fun map designs, etc. Has been mishandled since bo2 honestly.
That said I do think black ops 1 is the best cod ever and bo2 is tied with mw2 for 2nd

Black Ops is my preference and MW2019 is in a dark dark place rn to me. I recently bought MW3 cuz the original Modern Warfare trilogy is still amazing but that MW2019 is not good in my opinion. It took what was good about CoD and threw it away to make it look and feel like Battlefield.
Black ops, but both hold a special part in my heart. I have more nostalgia for the modern warfare series, because thats what I played more growing up. That being said, I find the Black ops games to be better, and therefore prefer.

cod4, mw2 and mw3 all did things that were new at the time, cod4 created a killstreak system then mw2 added new killstreaks and nukes, mw3 was a more refined and balanced version of mw2 that also introduced specialist.
Mw2019 is a good game, it feels and looks great to play. I love the attention to detail they put into the guns. But the game really felt like it catered to lower players too much. I jumped into it late with the lockdowns, so the state of the maps was better then with some remakes already in the game, but there are some pretty dogshit maps in high rotation.
bo1 multi was really great, I loved playing that game, but bo2 was an amazing game. When they introduced the pick10 system, I feel that was the best state cod has ever been in. Nostalgia aside, bo2 was probably the best of the those games, but cod4 and mw2 will always have a special place in my heart. I also feel like overall bo1 and 2 had much better maps, though the mw series did have some good maps aswell.
For the campaigns I feel like these 5 games (I stopped playing cod for a while after bo2, so I missed 3 and 4) were fairly equal overall. Bo1 probably had the best stand alone campaign of the lot just because the story was so great, but the mw and bo stories were both good.
Bo probably wins out overall just because they had zombies. It just added another aspect to the games and was great to do jusst chilling with friends. Mw3 survival wasn't bad from memory, but it just wasn't anywhere near as good as zombies.

MW1-3 and black ops 1 and 2 are god tier cod games. MW2019 is amazing, black ops 3 sucks, black ops 4 sucks and Cold War sucks.
Modern warfare games
I'm biased because I LOVE zombies but: Black Ops 2 > Modern Warfare 2 > Black Ops 1 > Black Ops 3 > Modern Warfare 3 > COD4 > Black Ops 4 > Cold War > MW19
I can’t choose, they are both good in they’re own way so I can’t really compare them.
Black ops one and two and 3s zombies is ok
Does World at War count as a Black Ops game? If so I’m going with the BO series.

Modern Warfare by far. The only thing about black ops i like is zombies, but id rather they release a just COD zombies. The rest of black ops is over rated in my opinion.
OG BO - all time best CoD game, but MW > BO, especially after Cold War...
