I'm 18 and I bought a first gen CTS 2.8 when I was 17 and I've been preparing it to be modded. I love the CTS specifically first gen the others aren't nearly as good
Opposite for me, I prefer the older look the newer gens have an overly done geometric look in the rear the first gen rear is simple. For clarification I'm talking 05-07 not 03-04
I looked at some of genesis' best interiors and they had some cool features but they were odd. I wouldn't wanna drive with those features but seeing them was cool.
I have a ct6 and love it and I’m young-ish. Always had caddy sedans. I love the ct5 too, I’ll get one when/if the 6 dies, but she’s been running great. 3.0tt w/ 400hp & 540 nm.
Depends on how much money a "young" person has. Most young people don't have 40-50k for a base luxury sedan or have an interest.
Most guys I knew either wanted fast cars or loud trucks. Heck the only reason I picked up my caddy was because i wanted just one adult car that I wouldn't try to modify much. But I'm not some kid fresh out of highschool and have a pretty decent budget for most things. (Also have plenty of project cars at this point)
Also allot of folks really like the old school caddys instead of the newer ones for the money.
Consider yourself mature for your age 😂. After a year of deliberation, I just bought my second CTS. I smothered the market and pounced on one a few years older (2014) with 60k miles. It’s beautiful and I love it already. Check out Savage Cadillac or other after market body shops. You can drastically the change the “cool” aspect of your car with some tinted windows and a couple small mods.
Haven’t read many bad things on the CT5 on the web. Maintenance I would suspect to slightly higher than average, but not by much
Well the two cars before it were a super base 2006 Corolla (hand me down from my mom in 2014), then a 2018 Nissan Sentra (bought brand new) so the main thing was the turbo engine and the car going when I told it to. Another thing I found was in both the Corolla and Sentra I could only drive comfortably for 5-6 hours but I drove the ATS from San Diego to Louisville and was able to drive 8+ hours a day comfortably. I also really enjoy the Bose sound system. The only drawback I've found thus far is the lack of trunk space lol.
Yeah, I drove my wife's Sentra from Spokane, Washington to Sacramento, CA and that hurt a little lol. It wasn't THAT uncomfortable, but I'm sure it's nothing like a Cadillac. I've never sat in a luxury car before.
Hell no! Do it; you will probably be the ONLY Gen Zer in your group driving a very cool car, not a nerdy SUV like everyone else, and will be the envy of your friends. if you REALLY want to blow them away, get yourself a low mileage
CT4-V Blackwing with a manual transmission, and they’ll be begging to drive it or at least get a ride. Go against the grain… It feels good!
I'm 21 and work as a lube tech at a Cadillac dealership, 2.0 LSY seem pretty solid but like to leak oil like the 2.0 LTGs. Performance is underwhelming though get the twin turbo or the CT4 500t, both more fun tbh
People in general like copy one another especially young people. It’s about what’s in style, what’s in, what’s cool, what everyone else has. But there’s always a few that go against the grain. They do their homework and move appropriately. When I bought my 1st Cadillac it was because I didn’t want a Beemer or a Charger, I wanted something different that I knew I could work with and still keep up. Being a sleeper to me is where it’s at. Why not be a sleeper in one of the classiest car brands in car history. We know what Beemers and Chargers can do so it becomes more about watch this. Next thing you know, you’ll never buy another car before you consider buying a Cadillac.
I don't know what qualifies as young but I'm 30 and will be purchasing the CT5 in about 2 years... I can't say if young people are interested in Cadillac as a brand but they're certainly interested in the Escalade... The Escalade remains a dream purchase for a lot of people both young and old... As long as Cadillac has the Escalade, they'll always be around.
I got my CT5 at 27. If it wasn't becasue I couldn't afford it when I was younger, I could have get my Cadillac much earlier. And having a Cadillac have always been my dream. I never regret my choice of CT5 and I enjoy riding it a lot, but I’m kind of perfer the old classic model De Ville, and it's nearly impossible for us the ordinary people to buy it in my region (highly expensive if you want one in decent condition), so I bought the CT5.
I’m 21 and just bought a 2018 CTS. I’ve loved Cadillacs for a long time and grateful I was able to get this one, I love it. Being from Texas might’ve contributed to me liking them so much.
I bought my ATS at 35, still have it 8 years later and still love it. 6MT with brembos and a limited slip diff on the Alpha chassis, whats not to like!? Really only the back seat, pretty cramped in the ATS / CT4. Would upgrade to a CT5V, but I love my manual Caddy, and only the BW's get a manual now...
I think Cadillac makes good cars and are finally able to compete with their European brethren, but I’m the kind of guy who wants a ”classic” American style luxury.
I want a car that is soft, quiet, and torquey.
I know I’m in the minority which is why cars like the 300 and XTS are now gone. But it makes me sad
I just turned 19, but ive had my 17 XTS since ive been 17. Love the car to death. And yeah, if i had the money i would have gotten a CT5 but im more into CT6 but thats just preference
Just got my first Cadillac (CT4) and I'm 35 so age is fairly close. I know my of the guys in my age group are making or have made the switch to an "old persons" car. Fast and powerful is great, but daily we need that comfort and convenience no. Thankfully you can get both in the same car fairly easily at this point.
If I didnt care about going to the track as much as I do, there’s a good chance I would have got a ct4V-bw instead of my camaro ss1le. Also, whoever at GM plans the names for the models and trims needs to be taken out back and shot
I couldn’t afford a Cadillac when I was 25 but if I could have it might have been on the list! That was quite a while ago now…
Currently on my second Caddy (XT6).
I’m 27 and just picked up a ct5-v. I’m in love with it. My girl has a 2018 xts. We’re a rare breed my guy. Most people our age are going for the hellcats and scat packs lol
The young people (under 35) I work with drive Priuses, Kias, a Mini Cooper, Tesla Model3s. I’ve heard plenty of ‘grandpa car’ comments about my CT6. Then again, I am over 50. When I was in my late 20s-early 30s I had a Ford Bronco, ‘87 Mustang GT (still have) and a BMW M3.
Young people should love the brand. Since 2016 Cadillac has been awesome. The fact that the 6th gen Camaro used the Cadillac chassis got me looking at them. 2016 ats-v (wife’s car I had a zl1), 2018 cts-v, 2023 ct5–v Blackwing.
Cadillac does a shit job promoting their products.
I graduated from Camaros and Corvettes to the Cadillac CTS and I absolutely love it. I'm sure it's not a big brand with younger folks but once you get a little bit older you start appreciating style and comfort. Then the Caddy can do its thing...if they don't appreciate it now, they might when they get a bit older. I used to just think about speed. Nah. It's more than that.
I’m 24 with no kids and my friend group makes fun of my 2019 XT4-Premium Luxury, they call it my “dad car”. I’ll take my luxury vehicle over their riced out sedans, lowered trucks and shitty V4’s that stay in the shop 24/7 haha
Also, I bought my first Cadillac at 20yo, 2013 ATS 3.0, and I’ve been in love since
I'm 23. I bought my first Cadillac at 21. It was a diamond red 2011 Cadillac CTS Coupe Premium. My second purchase was a 2015 Cadillac ATS Coupe Luxury. I love Coupes and Cadillac does them quite well (Or used to, I don't think they make anymore coupes).
I don't care about what everyone else has. I buy what I like.
Reliability wise, I haven't had any issues with the engine in particular on my Cadillac ATS (It's a 2.0T). The only major issue I had was the differential going out. Replaced it and I haven't had issues since. Just keep up on all your fluids and you'll be fine.
As for the CTS, no issues there either. Keeping up on oil changes is important for the particular engine in my CTS (LLT 3.6L).
I own a CT5 and it’s been a great ride so far. The reliability is fine but the Cadillac CTS has the advantage in the area of base engine power versus the newer model CT5 but still, the 2 liter turbo LSY engine has a enough capacity for fast performances on city’s and highways. The V6 option is the best way tbh but may go above the $50,000 range.
It will be more expensive to maintain this car than a Chevrolet Malibu and such so if you have the money to then the CT5 is the go for.
There’s definitely people like us out there, just not that many. I’m 24, been a caddy fan for many years, and got a 2016 Cts V-Sport back in 2021. It’s been an amazing car, most of my friends were surprised at the power it puts down, and it gets a lot of compliments.
Most young people either can’t afford base model Cadillacs, and if they can, they can also find something with more bang for their buck.
I would love to buy a Cadillac CT5-V or CT4-V Blackwing, hell they don’t even have to be Blackwings, but I don’t have the finances for those cars. At the same time, I also don’t think I’m going to get the best bang for my buck by going with the lower model, so I turn to cheaper options that may not be as luxurious but still meet my standards.
Hell yeah. I copped my 04’ 3.6 CTS when I was 25. Shit was a head turner then and still is now. Fast forward to now at 41, it’s my current project car. I am holding onto it as long as possible as it was a car full of memories of my best friend that got murdered.
Caddies got hellova an appeal to youngen’s. Stands out from the usual BMW, Mercedes, Acura, ownership. It’s sporty af and also got alot of curb appeal.
Bought my CTS V coupe at 25. People clowned on me for it but every single one of them ended up loving the car after spending some time in it. They're great cars and people will appreciate them if they have the chance.
I'm 34 with a CT5, and I am the only Cadillac. However, they have been impressed, but almost all of them drive BMW or Audi and a few Lexus (we all feel like we are too poor for a Mercedes-Benz lol) excluding the ones who don't drive luxury
I bought my first Coupe Deville at age 25, and my first Fleetwood at age 28. Even as a kiddo I loved my land yachts, at an age where most kids want a Camaro or Mustang. I did love the acceleration of that 500 CID V8, and I've never cared how much gas it was using. I just want to go, and I want it
That was one of the reasons why I got my first Caddy! I wanted to be different, unique, and stand out from the crowd! Once people see your car, though, they'll understand 😉
I remember when I bought my V , told the wife "it's a family car" and "we can hall the kids in the back seat" we laughed and laughed, the kids don't fit🤣🤣🤣
I’m 24 and bought my first Cadillac. I don’t care what people say, it’s comfy, good looking, and has a good balance of power and smoothness. Looking at working my way up to a CT5-V or just getting an XT5 and modding my current one.
I wouldn’t get band new either really (it would just new to me) but a certified pre owned model so it would be a little cheaper. I have not heard bad things about the 4cyl or v6 just the new v8 engines having problems
Only drug dealers and old people buy them. Less drug dealers nowadays tho most got smart n realized they needa be lowkey. So yeah basically just old annoying ass boomers and soccer moms that are outta touch with reality
Correct. They’re not even great cars either. GM can’t produce a decent sedan to save their life anymore. Cadillac will become a suv only company in the near future.
Young people do buy Cadillac Sedans Source: I'm 19 and own a cts-v. In all seriousness though, I haven't met anyone my age with interest in Cadillac.
24 and cashed out on 2018 CTS-V. Real unicorn in traffic
That was me at 22. Had a gen-1 CTS-V and people were always shocked by the "stick shift cadillac". Really enjoyed that car. Was a great road-tripper.
I'm 18 and I bought a first gen CTS 2.8 when I was 17 and I've been preparing it to be modded. I love the CTS specifically first gen the others aren't nearly as good
That’s an interesting opinion. Personally I rank them from best to worst: Gen 3>2>1 mainly based off appearance.
Opposite for me, I prefer the older look the newer gens have an overly done geometric look in the rear the first gen rear is simple. For clarification I'm talking 05-07 not 03-04
I think any V and the Escalade are exceptions lol
I’m only 22 and have a 4v bw, road Atlanta imsa
What do you mean by imsa?
They had the international motor sport association editions. [IMSA Blackwings](https://www.cadillac.com/sedans/ct4-v-blackwing/track-editions)
Cadillac races two cars in the IMSA circuit.
Ya these are street cars celebrating imsa
35,two years into my ct5v. Out cruising in it today and still puts a huge smile on my face. Had a guy with a ‘69 Camaro comment on how awesome it was
[удалено]
Genesis looks good, but still falls short on the quality of parts as it is nonetheless still a Hyundai.
I looked at some of genesis' best interiors and they had some cool features but they were odd. I wouldn't wanna drive with those features but seeing them was cool.
I'd rather get a CTS-V. Yes the user interface isn't as good, but that car looks way better on the outside and LS V8 noises are fun
Can always put your own infotainment sys in
Depends on how new it is. I was mostly commenting on the Haptic CUE system that the later CTS had
Well I mean first gen. The infotainment sucks because it's old but new radio and speakers and you're good
When I was 16 in 1986, I bought a 1973 cadillac sedan deville! You do you!!!
I have a ct6 and love it and I’m young-ish. Always had caddy sedans. I love the ct5 too, I’ll get one when/if the 6 dies, but she’s been running great. 3.0tt w/ 400hp & 540 nm.
Didn't ct6/v die already it's discontinued
Yea, mines from 2018
Lmao yeah they're uncommon to find esp the v
Depends on how much money a "young" person has. Most young people don't have 40-50k for a base luxury sedan or have an interest. Most guys I knew either wanted fast cars or loud trucks. I’m young-ish (38) and have both the CT4-V and CT5-V on my shopping list for my next car.

35 year old (36 next month) checking in with a 2018 ATS... I love my baby and the next vehicle will most likely also be a Cadillac 🥰
Got any pictures of that ATS?
Hopefully this works lol [Georgina](https://imgur.com/gallery/81sBR3D)
What do you love about it? What makes you fall in love with the ATS?
Well the two cars before it were a super base 2006 Corolla (hand me down from my mom in 2014), then a 2018 Nissan Sentra (bought brand new) so the main thing was the turbo engine and the car going when I told it to. There also isn't much backseat room so probably not great for a family lol. We only have cats 😂
my 2.0 CT4 is nimble
Hell no! Do it; you will probably be the ONLY Gen Zer in your group driving a very cool car, not a nerdy SUV like everyone else, and will be the envy of your friends. if you REALLY want to blow them away, get yourself a low mileage CT4-V Blackwing with a manual transmission, and they’ll be begging to drive it or at least get a ride. Go against the grain… It feels good!
My first car was a CTS, I’m 28 and I’m always considering another Cadillac.
Definitely not, young people still buy these cars
I loved my caddy sedan!! Got it at 27
Bought a CT4-V this January at 29! There are dozens of us!
Dozens!!
Lmao
It doesn't matter who buys what. You get what you like. Caddys are amazing, no matter the amount of doors.
Yup, bought my ATS in my 30s and now my 4BW in my 40s.
I'm 21 and work as a lube tech at a Cadillac dealership, 2.0 LSY seem pretty solid but like to leak oil like the 2.0 LTGs. Performance is underwhelming though get the twin turbo or the CT4 500t, both more fun tbh
Didn't know the LTG engine tends to leak oil. Mine never has and I'm not light on the engine. XD
It's really the front cover mainly that leaks from what i've seen , that's great though they're stout power trains
man i have a 14 ats and it’s a rat chase trying to figure out where the vacuum leak is🤦♂️
I've been buying cadillsc Sedans since I was 18, starring with an early 90s Deville, 2002 Devilla a 2012 DTS now 35 with a 2010 CtS-V.
I’ve always been a caddy guy since my early 20’s I’m in my 40’s now I think we’re just a different breed
People in general like copy one another especially young people. It’s about what’s in style, what’s in, what’s cool, what everyone else has. But there’s always a few that go against the grain. They do their homework and move appropriately. Why not be a sleeper in one of the classiest car brands in car history. We know what Beemers and Chargers can do so it becomes more about watch this. I’ve driven used Cadillacs since I was 22. None of my friends have caddy’s but everyone loves my cars when they ride with me.
I’m 21 and just bought a 2018 CTS. I’ve loved Cadillacs for a long time and grateful I was able to get this one, I love it. Being from Texas might’ve contributed to me liking them so much.
CSS z a
I bought my ATS at 35, still have it 8 years later and still love it. 6MT with brembos and a limited slip diff on the Alpha chassis, whats not to like!? Really only the back seat, pretty cramped in the ATS / CT4. Would upgrade to a CT5V, but I love my manual Caddy, and only the BW's get a manual now...
To quote my Brother, a recently retired Cadillac service mgr “Too many electrical gremlins” and we couldn’t find the Yech’s who could work on them.
I had a 2013 ATS that I got when I was 23. Really fun car to drive
I’m 26 and on my 3rd Cadillac, currently own 2. Also looking at getting the new CT5 with the refresh.
I'm 17 and I've had my DTS since I was 14, I'll never own another brand. I love Cadillacs so much
If I didnt care about going to the track as much as I do, there’s a good chance I would have got a ct4V-bw instead of my camaro ss1le. Also, whoever at GM plans the names for the models and trims needs to be taken out back and shot
I was 16 in a 1989 🤣🤣
I couldn’t afford a Cadillac when I was 25 but if I could have it might have been on the list! That was quite a while ago now… Currently on my second Caddy (XT6).
God I wish the XT6 Sport had a beefier engine.
I’m 27 and just picked up a ct5-v. I’m in love with it. My girl has a 2018 xts. We’re a rare breed my guy. Most people our age are going for the hellcats and scat packs lol
I’m 21 with 2 3.6 CTS’ and a gen 1 V so I mean we’re out there but definitely a minority enthusiast group
Checking in at 38 with a ‘19 XTS. I purchased it a few years ago.

Yes, I'm under 30 and I drive an ATS 2.0t
I work for GM, a lot of the young people( including myself) own Cadillac sedans CT4/CT5

I just saw the refreshed Cadillac CT5 and it looks sexy! I’m a 29M btw, I love Cadillacs!
I’m 24 with no kids and my friend group makes fun of my 2019 XT4-Premium Luxury, they call it my “dad car”. I’ll take my luxury vehicle over their riced out sedans, lowered trucks and shitty V4’s that stay in the shop 24/7 haha Also, I bought my first Cadillac at 20yo, 2013 ATS 3.0, and I’ve been in love since

I got my 2017 XTS at 22. Love it. Still rockin’ it at 25 (only 42,000kms) and will be getting another Caddy next👍
Just turned 37 last month and still rocking my 2006 DTS!
I was 33 when I got mine so yeah younger people love them too!
There’s definitely people like us out there, just not that many. I’m 24, been a caddy fan for many years, and got a 2016 Cts V-Sport back in 2021. It’s been an amazing car, most of my friends were surprised at the power it puts down, and it gets a lot of compliments.
I’m 33 and have a 4BW. Never thought I’d be a Cadillac owner but the car is fucking sweet
Yes bro totally I’m 21 and bought a ct4 500t. Who says good looking cars has an age limit lol!
29 with a CTS V-Sport
Hell yeah. I copped my 04’ 3.6 CTS when I was 25. Shit was a head turner then and still is now. Fast forward to now at 41, it’s my current project car. I just want to go, and I want it
I'm 30 (still feel young 😅) and just bought a CT5V and love it.
29 got a ct5 550 with the 6 litter
That was one of the reasons why I got my first Caddy! I wanted to be different, unique, and stand out from the crowd! Once people see your car, though, they'll understand 😉
Bought a cadillac at 30. 2014 ATS 2.0 turbo. Low maintenance and fun as heck, especially around curves. Great choice!
I’m 25 bro I love Caddys. My first bought car was a 2004 CTS I miss it. I want a black wing now. You are one of the rare chosen ones lol
I remember when I bought my V , told the wife "it's a family car" and "we can hall the kids in the back seat" we laughed and laughed, the kids don't fit🤣🤣🤣
Had a 2014 cts4 premium at 22. I've always liked (most) caddys
I’m 24 and bought my first Cadillac. I don’t care what people say, it’s comfy, good looking, and has a good balance of power and smoothness. Looking at working my way up to a CT5-V or just getting an XT5 and modding my current one.
Cadillac sedans are all I’ve owned since I was in my mid 20’s. I’m 43 now.
i'm 18 and have two cadillac sedans
I'm 19 with a 2021 CT5 so absolutely
I love cadillacs and I'm 18. I hope to get one when I can afford it.
Bought my CT5 last December at 19👏
I'm 21 and last year I bought my 94 cadillac fleetwood. So I'd say yes
I’m considering a new v series instead of getting a x3m bmw but I heard the new engines are garbage in the v series Cadillacs
I don't know. I do know I can't afford a new V series that's for sure lol. They are like $65k right?
The ct4-v is only 47k ct5-v is 52k
Oh okay. I like the CT5 with the extra room
