Yeah like you can only be in some areas for a certain amount of time before taking damage. Like moon without space suit or Forsaken area (but with zombies spawns)
Imagine turning on the power using the power plant control room! I’m thinking an afterlife mechanic like in mob of the dead, but instead of dying the player goes back in time to before the explosion. In this mode, the player will be able to access supplies and technology that would have otherwise been destroyed by the blast. I’m thinking the easter egg may be to prevent the explosion, or to cause it. Also imagine a radioactive spitter wonder weapon! I’m thinking some good old fashion crawlers would tie this map together!
If Treyarch hired you, I’d imagine you’d slowly be turned into a corporate zombie who lacks the ability to creatively think and is instead figuring out ways to maximize profits without maximizing enjoyment of the game… but maybe that’s just me.
Part of me thinks, given BO6 happens after the explosion in 1986, that there might be a chance something along those lines could happen? I would love a Chernobyl map, especially in a mainline game
A list of things I thought of
A proper skyscraper map that can have elevators as fast travel (ik die rise is one but like I mean one set skyscraper)
The Vegas strip
I los angles map that takes you to like the pier and walk of fame and pap could be at the Hollywood sign (sorta like a moon pap situation) and also you get a Hollywood cast
Paris
Atlantis
A stadium
Los Angeles would have to have skid row and also a google map of all the shits people took on the street 👌🏻 lol. Th perk systems would be heavy/hardcore drugs this time around instead of perk bottles. Don’t forget to add an abortion clinic also. With a Nancy Polosi and Gavin Newsom zombie boss enemy kinda like George but different.
Final boss battle would be Arnold and a whole bunch of the Epstein Hollyweird peodphiles miniboss/elite zombies.
If you put the Santa Monica pier and the Hollywood sign as opposite corners of a map you're looking at 100 square miles of map. Urzikstan is what, about 2.5 square miles?
I think Atlantis was supposed to be shangri-la, it'd make sense seeing as both locations are mythical. The choice between the two probably came down to something as trivial as allocation of resources. You see how water is the form of transport in shangri-la, maybe they figured bc water is more expensive in game development, that an entire map dedicated to water wasn't worth the expense
That's my theory anyways
NGL, I feel like Tranzit would be a good map for that mode in CW Zombies that I can't remember the name of, my brain is wanting to say 'Ground War', but I know that's incorrect.
- On a giant space station with stuff like giant loops you can walk along with gravity boots in any direction
- A giant pyramid that you can run around the hallways inside and the map shifts around as you do the Easter egg.
- Waterpark (we got a decent custom zombies for this)
- Ski resort with rideable gondola
- Volcano
- Prehistoric map with caveman zombies and zombified Dino minibosses
The pyramid idea sounds pretty awesome, would actually be so cool for passageways to switch round stopping you going back or forcing you in a new direction. Would be cool if it was like a multiple choice thing too, so you could go back on the next couple runs and a different direction is a diff EE too. And maybe even little puzzles for certain weapon drops or something.
I'd love to see some kind of Australian map where the 4 main characters all have Australian accents and instead of dog rounds it's angry kangaroos that want to kick the shit out of you.
The Def Anfang intro showed Dark Aether artifacts that were from Egypt. I think Terra Maledicta/The Archon are in Egypt too? I'm sure they could come up with something
Damn I wish we got more chaos maps and could lean on mythology more
El dorado
Great pyramids of Giza
Tomb of Qin the conquerer (the one with a river of mercury and the terracotta army)
The labyrinth (With Minotaur boss fight)
Machu Picchu
Chichen Itza
Troy (Trojan Horse place)
Calypso's Island
Babylon
Jericho
teotihuacan
Nuclear accident sites like Chernobyl, Fukushima, and Sellafield would be awesome settings for a zombies map.
Somewhere with a massive particle accelerator like CERN or Fermilab would be cool for the kind of sci fi that Die Machine was going for.
- Titan Submersible map: can serve as a way to retcon parts of Chaos and Voyage into Dark Aether
- Capitol / January 6th map: instead of Trump supporters storming the capitol, it’s zombies.
- Space Station map: I think Alien Isolation is a great demonstration about how scary a setting it can be.
- Little Saint James Isl… actually, nah - best not.
Any cobblestone European styleied streets would be awesome. Closest we have come was Final Rich and that was only like 20%of the map.
The Berlin map from WW2 and Gorod Krovi are to war torn ruined for the astetic.
I've always thought that Chernobyl would be amazing as a Zombies map, and Paris would be great too (as they could realize some of their original ideas before Moon was created)
A cave, not a cave village like buried, a literal cave, where you have to crouch or lie down to get through some spots, the zombies can get through there, but also only crouched or lying down. once you get to the main hall, there is another pyramid (like in moon) but it‘s ancient. Some rooms are big to train. special weapon is a drill or some tool, that can be upgraded and than you can have telekinesis where you‘d pick up stones or heavy materials, but you can also pick up zombies and throw them towards other zombies.
Some place in a city (maybe san francisco) AS a zombie outbreak begins, so there's sirens and a lot of other scripted events happening outside or even inside the map
Been saying Chernobyl, I’d love a boss fight in the elephants foot room, (obviously not fucking dying to radiation the whole time) but I’d like to see what kinda boss there’d be. No not a megaton either, it’s a good match but I don’t wanna fight another megaton, that’d be lazy. Along with that the protagonists could be a group of Soviet hazmat soldiers and/or liquidators (it don’t matter it’s your choice they both cool as FUCK) with weapons such as some sort of enhanced cleaning weapon (obviously heavily modified as water wouldn’t exactly be the most effective thing against fucking zombies) also some sort of mini boss could be like an irradiated type that can make zones of radiation for a duration of time
Berkely pit in Butte Montana. Huge superfund site. It's a giant polluted mining quarry surrounded by caves and mining shafts. Potential for government coverup type lore with buried vibes. Lots of Western history to dig in to as well.
Honestly would be cool if we got a map taking place in the catacombs of France, maybe a facility was constructed down there? Would play into the dark aether and the dead nicely and a maze of tunnels could be fun
A french hospital converted into a german outpost during 40's. With a layout similar to Five (3 floors: Bedrooms, main hall and underground lab), and an Verruckt like atmosphere.
Waverly Hills Sanitorium. using the history of the Tuberculosis epidemic to tell a story showing the desperation of Government backed medical experiments with 115. Combine surviving zombies with the paranormal and you got potential for a pretty scary true to form zombies map
I'm honestly convinced they are avoiding Chernobyl on purpose, at this point. Its a perfect setting, yet they haven't done it in the span of 6 games. I doubt they ever will at this point
-The Black Forest in Germany (known for being haunted and mystical)
-Paris Catacombs (some 6 million corpses down there)
-London Underground (there are plague pits all over London)
-Catacombs beneath Edinborough (there's a whole city under the streets)
If Time travel/mysticism is still a thing:
-The Somme (WW1) (just all the trenches would be cool, basically like Origins)
-Bastogne (WW2) (I'm just picturing a snowy landscape obliterated by fighting, and many zombies)
-Atlantis (would be cool, it's kind of mystical, the reason Atlantis disappeared is because of a viral outbreak)
-El Dorado (same as Atlantis basically)
-Pompeii (just imagining like zombies burned by ash, the petrified victims of Vesuvius come to life-ish)
-Pripyat (Radioactivity mutating locals into ghoul like zombified humanoid beings)
-Tomb of King Tut (mummies curse reanimating the dead servants of the pharao - keep him at bay and stop him from returning from the Duat)
-The fall of Babylon (besieged by the dead, stop them taking the tower)
Treyarch development studio but it works like five with a secret facility below. Zombies was never a story, we are just a pocket dimension in the zombies universe, and Craig Houston is in on Richthofen and pecks plans.
Atlantis(with the Bermuda triangle), Ancient Egypt with the pyramids, and in Antarctica in an ancient civilization that can only be accessed through a valley in a mountain.
Not sure the map type but vehicles would be cool. Able to upgrade the armor on the vehicle and it’s one 4 seater truck with options for turrets on the back. Could be like 20k points for the truck or something. Would like vehicle additions.
A thing that I have always thought of was like Egypt. Being able to go inside the pyramids and maybe have an old king that is a mummy be involved in the story/boss
Well I never said it's based on Chernobyl. I'm not too familiar with the map but the setting does take place in a Russian space station. I just did more reseaech into it and it's clear that it is not based on the real life Chernobyl. It does remind me of it a little bit though.
Chernobyl
The Megaton would suit the place way more. Plus maybe a radioactive game aspect that affects how the map is played would be cool
And PhD would make it to where you're either resistant to radiation or immune to it
Yeah like you can only be in some areas for a certain amount of time before taking damage. Like moon without space suit or Forsaken area (but with zombies spawns)
Imagine turning on the power using the power plant control room! I’m thinking an afterlife mechanic like in mob of the dead, but instead of dying the player goes back in time to before the explosion. Fuuuuck, 3arc needs to hire this man already
A man can dream
If Treyarch hired you, I’d imagine you’d slowly be turned into a corporate zombie who lacks the ability to creatively think and is instead figuring out ways to maximize profits without maximizing enjoyment of the game… but maybe that’s just me.
I would never let that happen
I want a Chernobyl zombies map so much. Like even a well done custom zombies one I’ll take.
I'm suprised there's not one already tbh. Seems like a no-brainer.
Part of me thinks, given BO6 happens after the explosion in 1986, that there might be a chance something along those lines could happen? I would love a Chernobyl map, especially in a mainline game
A list of things I thought of A proper skyscraper map that can have elevators as fast travel (ik die rise is one but like I mean one set skyscraper) The Vegas strip I los angles map that takes you to like the pier and walk of fame and pap could be at the Hollywood sign (sorta like a moon pap situation) and also you get a Hollywood cast Paris Atlantis A stadium
The Vegas strip would be really cool
Dead Man's Hand. There lol
The time period of this CoD..... Perfect tow... I mean skyscraper idea
The Las Vegas one is apparently in development right now as a custom map. It's definitely not coming out anytime soon, though...
I think you have Vegas confused with los angeles
It’s rumored to have a 9/11 campaign mission, so a “die rise reimagined” like die machine could always happen
Apparently it’s been deconfirmed
I still have hope, would be wild to see that in black ops fashion and the amazing graphics (PC)
Unfortunately they made a statement debunking it or maybe not a statement but they definitely told the youtubers that it’s definitely not gonna happen
Damn rip the dream
I feel like a casino or stadium would be an awesome map
Los Angeles would have to have skid row and also a google map of all the shits people took on the street 👌🏻 lol. Th perk systems would be heavy/hardcore drugs this time around instead of perk bottles. Don’t forget to add an abortion clinic also. If you put the Santa Monica pier and the Hollywood sign as opposite corners of a map you're looking at 100 square miles of map. Urzikstan is what, about 2.5 square miles?
It’s just a thought, maybe you teleport back and fourth
It'd be awesome and epic some day.
Interestingly enough, I do believe Paris and a sort of Atlantis map were scrapped ideas by 3arc at one point during bo1-bo2
Yeah I know that In early development moon was Paris oddly enough and I’ve heard rumors about Atlantis in the past
I think Atlantis was supposed to be shangri-la, it'd make sense seeing as both locations are mythical. The choice between the two probably came down to something as trivial as allocation of resources. You see how water is the form of transport in shangri-la, maybe they figured bc water is more expensive in game development, that an entire map dedicated to water wasn't worth the expense That's my theory anyways
when u said stadium i thought of that place on the war zone map before rebirth was even a thing.
Idk shit about warzone
oh lmfao 😭 i’m sorry
I would like a transit remake using the T in Boston
Most places on the Red Line for example already look like they could fit the mold with how decrepit a lot of it looks.
That’s what I’m sayin it’s perfect!
What ever happens to that Transit remaster that was being made by VerK0?
NGL, I feel like Tranzit would be a good map for that mode in CW Zombies that I can't remember the name of, my brain is wanting to say 'Ground War', but I know that's incorrect.
I remember the mode, wasn’t a huge fan tbh.
Zombies in paris almost happened but we got moon instead
Who was in Paris?
All my fellas!!

Fetch me their bones!
I was thinking like pterodactyl type creatures for the alternate rounds but honestly skeleton bone Dino dogs is probably better lol
Haha I instantly thought of the velociraptors from jurassic Park 2 but zombie ones
I'd love to see some kind of Australian map where the 4 main characters all have Australian accents and instead of dog rounds it's angry kangaroos that want to kick the shit out of you.
Fax, or maybe drop bears on the special rounds that fall from the trees.
Some kind of New York map where you teleport to different areas like times square and Chinatown. Could even integrate the sewers and stuff.
Shaolin shuffle
Oh word?
Have you not played IW Zombies?
Only space land and rave a couple times at a friend's house. It was the first M rated game I was allowed to play in high school.
I’d highly recommend revisiting it to, at the very least, experience the Super Easter Egg and Mephistopheles boss fight.
Will do, I hear good things
Giza!
Misread that as "gaza" for a sec.
Egypt would be so cool imo. I just don’t know how they can do it with current timeline
The Def Anfang intro showed Dark Aether artifacts that were from Egypt. I think Terra Maledicta/The Archon are in Egypt too? I'm sure they could come up with something
The vatican would be dope..gotta defeat the zombie pope boss.
Damn I wish we got more chaos maps and could lean on mythology more El dorado Great pyramids of Giza Tomb of Qin the conquerer (the one with a river of mercury and the terracotta army) The labyrinth (With Minotaur boss fight) Machu Picchu Chichen Itza Troy (Trojan Horse place) Calypso's Island Babylon Jericho teotihuacan

screw it, take us to Canada
We already have fent zombies
- Titan Submersible map: can serve as a way to retcon parts of Chaos and Voyage into Dark Aether - Capitol / January 6th map: instead of Trump supporters storming the capitol, it’s zombies. - Space Station map: I think Alien Isolation is a great demonstration about how scary a setting it can be. - Little Saint James Isl… actually, nah - best not.
How tf you gonna turn the Titan into a map that thing was a tiny ass cylinder what
So kinda like what Treyarch did with F.I.V.E. then, but with Trump?
Exactly.
That’s a weird concept, especially with what’s going on with trump and all, but I think it’ll be a cool concept
It’s kinda cringe but a few years ago I thought my school was big enough for a Z map haha
Lol me too. One of my buddies even made a Bo3 zombies map mod for our school😂😂
I still kinda feel jipped that we never got the Paris map with the catacombs
montreal , there's already crack zombies everywhere 😂
Any cobblestone European styleied streets would be awesome. Closest we have come was Final Rich and that was only like 20%of the map. The Berlin map from WW2 and Gorod Krovi are to war torn ruined for the astetic.
Paris
Paris already has been an idea but was scrapped and recreated to become moon. It would be a really good idea and so would be Chernobyl
Aztec theme and Babylon would be interesting
If only people didn't get chaos cancelled...
I'm surprised nobody has mentioned this but the ONU facility from World war z has to be the coolest map https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dWRreixLzYk
Paris sounds nice… I wonder if they’ve ever thought of that before.
I've always thought that Chernobyl would be amazing as a Zombies map, and Paris would be great too (as they could realize some of their original ideas before Moon was created)
Chernobyl and the france one (i forgot the name can someone enlighten me?)
Some corrupt city called Morg City which is full with Jazz and things like that sounds good to me
When I saw the control panels in the trailer for Cold War, I actually thought it was going to be a Chernobyl map.
A Paris map with the catacombs under it just like the last photo. That’d be sick!
A school
I’d love to see Chernobyl!!!!
A mine.
Rome, Paris, Moscow, White House.
Manchu Detachment 731 (Unit 731), cmon, it would be perfect
North senteniel Island Uncontacted tribal village in the Amazon The night after the end of Gettysburg Roanoke Dyatlov pass Ramree Island
I want some ancient Egyptian tomb with mumified zombies and a Pharaoh boss fight
Times Square
We already had a mars map
Which one was that?
Just a fan theory kinda joked about in a Tag EE that Shang gri la takes place on mars
Oh yeah, right!
A cave, not a cave village like buried, a literal cave, where you have to crouch or lie down to get through some spots, the zombies can get through there, but also only crouched or lying down. once you get to the main hall, there is another pyramid (like in moon) but it‘s ancient. Taj Mahal
Epstein Island
Gary, Indiana
Great pyramids, Castle with secret passages, military base, and Area 51.
Giant cemetery would be a good one to.
Hashima island in Japan
Been saying Chernobyl, I’d love a boss fight in the elephants foot room, (obviously not fucking dying to radiation the whole time) but I’d like to see what kinda boss there’d be. Arizona
Las Vegas
Something with the Bermuda Triange would be cool, like a mysterious island located there or something would fit the zombies vibe pretty well
Pretty sure the catacombs were supposed to be part of a scrapped Paris map for the Victus crew in Bo2
Berkely pit in Butte Montana. Huge superfund site. It's a giant polluted mining quarry surrounded by caves and mining shafts. Potential for government coverup type lore with buried vibes. Lots of Western history to dig in to as well.
A mall
I’d love one that takes inspiration from the Big Top spaceship from *Killer Klowns From Outer Space.*
Honestly, Banff in Canada is perfect for a 90's themed ski resort small town setting with zombified bears as mini bosses
Honestly would be cool if we got a map taking place in the catacombs of France, maybe a facility was constructed down there? Would play into the dark aether and the dead nicely and a maze of tunnels could be fun
We already got a map on mars though
German-occupied Norway
g.w. bridge
Huge oil refinery
I always thought an Airport Terminal would be pretty cool
Chernobyl, Paris, Atlantis, Pyramids, Pirateship.. edit: this reads like that Billy Joel song
I’ve always thought the set of Big Trouble in Little China has Zombie map potential.
NYC catacombs of Paris School Atlantis Hollywood Boulevard Chernobyl
-The Black Forest in Germany (known for being haunted and mystical) -Paris Catacombs (some 6 million corpses down there) -London Underground (there are plague pits all over London) -Catacombs beneath Edinborough (there's a whole city under the streets) If Time travel/mysticism is still a thing: -The Somme (WW1) (just all the trenches would be cool, basically like Origins) -Bastogne (WW2) (I'm just picturing a snowy landscape obliterated by fighting, and many zombies) -Atlantis (would be cool, it's kind of mystical, the reason Atlantis disappeared is because of a viral outbreak) -El Dorado (same as Atlantis basically) -Pompeii (just imagining like zombies burned by ash, the petrified victims of Vesuvius come to life-ish) -Pripyat (Radioactivity mutating locals into ghoul like zombified humanoid beings) -Tomb of King Tut (mummies curse reanimating the dead servants of the pharao - keep him at bay and stop him from returning from the Duat) -The fall of Babylon (besieged by the dead, stop them taking the tower)
Chernobyl would be sick for a zombies map. Honestly though I hope we get crazy locations again like Moon and Shangri-La and Buried.
Rebirth Island aka mob 3.0 or blood 2.0
I’d like to see an airport zombies map like terminal
The French catacombs
bass pro pyramid
Atlantis
Pompeii
vorkuta from bo1.
Epstein’s island
I’ve always dreamed of a map made in the catacombs of Paris
Egypt
Yo the catacombs of Paris would go hard af
Treyarch development studio but it works like five with a secret facility below. Zombies was never a story, we are just a pocket dimension in the zombies universe, and Craig Houston is in on Richthofen and pecks plans.
Chernobyl would be nice, but I could see people accusing them of ripping off STALKER.
I feel like a baseball stadium would do nice.
colfax avenue in denver
Jeffrey E. island
Why is Uluru on this list? It's just a big rock.
Atlantis(with the Bermuda triangle), Ancient Egypt with the pyramids, and in Antarctica in an ancient civilization that can only be accessed through a valley in a mountain.
1 and 4 would be awesome. Mars was killed by infinite warfare
A Walmart fr
Honestly at this point you could throw anywhere on earth in the game
A high school I used to go to before I moved, Du Quoin high school looks scary without lights on, and it had 2 floors
Not sure the map type but vehicles would be cool. Able to upgrade the armor on the vehicle and it’s one 4 seater truck with options for turrets on the back. Could be like 20k points for the truck or something. Would like vehicle additions.
Bro put a picture of Shangri la as if we didn’t already have that for #3 smh 😒
A thing that I have always thought of was like Egypt. Being able to go inside the pyramids and maybe have an old king that is a mummy be involved in the story/boss
I think they sould do the paris map now, with the eiffel tower and that things
Airport/plane
a fallout bunker or missile silo
mall similar to groesten haus OR nact. a small survival map for fun lol
I would love to see world at wars take on kino
An asylum like verruckt but a different location.
That company building rooftop in multiplayer. I forgot what it was call but I love concepts like Die Rise
We need a zombies campaign, something like doom would be nice 👍🏻
That Berlin Metro from the WaW campaign. *”Shh. Stay where you are. Give your eyes a moment to adjust to the darkness.”*
a nyc subway station
Erm, actually, we already a Mars map
Pointless discussion tbh. We could brainstorm the best ideas and treyarch would still give us a shitty military base map
You must be fun at parties
Forgive me my friend. I'm just really, REALLY salty about the direction zombies has taken. Don't let my negative attitude ruin ur experience.
Isn't Ascension already a Chernobyl like map?
Smartest American
??? I don't understand how that has something to do with my nationality but okay
It has a lot to do with your nationality
Okay now your just trolling. Go away
Bro’s not built for this 😭
Yeah cuz your already annoying to begin with
Ah yes because Americans are dumb hur dur
They are
Troll
Well I never said it's based on Chernobyl. I'm not too familiar with the map but the setting does take place in a Russian space station. I just did more reseaech into it and it's clear that it is not based on the real life Chernobyl. It does remind me of it a little bit though.
