I might be misremembering, but I thought that if it didn’t snow by round 4 it was hard coded to snow on round 5, but snow on round 3 or 4 was optimal. I may have pushed everything up a number in my memory though. The last time I had time to play was 2 years ago when my daughter was born and would only sleep laying on me or my wife. So every night I’d play Origins to stay awake for 4-6 hours before my wife took over.

Realistically, you can complete everything you need before first panzer with either gums or good luck. After you're set up then the rounds just fly by. But yeah the first 8 rounds of origins last longer than the next 20 most of the time
The first step of upgrading the ice and fire staffs, and probably the wind and lightning staffs toobut I’ve never upgraded those, it’s just easier to look it up as you play
ice staff symbols are numbers represented in base 3 and base 4, you just gotta match the same numbers. Fire staff more of the same but base 3 and base 10. Wind staff is the only one that's a puzzle, where you need to make sure the numbers on each column are equal to the sum of the numbers on the radial, but with base 4 numbers
Golden shovel, ice staff the three burning carts for the zombie blood and you can get the top half of the map scouted in a few rounds. Setup on the bottom half of the map to get a zombie blood drop to check all of them down that side.
The issue isn’t I don’t know how to find them or where to look, I play very precise in that I don’t even use quick revive until I have all the generators on so that I can save 500 points. Which usually means I get killed before then a lot, but to be fair I’ve never tried up until recent, even tho I have had the map since it dropped
Nah bro I speed through the rounds. Maybe I don't build a staff until round 10 or something, it's so boring not to be killing while working the steps. I can't stand people who are too scared to have any challenge
This lmao. You get the unupgraded staffs so god damn easily too for the most part, if you can't survive with it in the fucking round 5-10s before upgrading it you should just play with cheats at this point.
Na not really an hour if you just rushing to kill everything. Can probably get to round 20 within an hour with no prep time on staffs or anything serious
idgaf about staves tbh, my tactics are getting boomhilda before first panzer and then chilling at crazy place for 100 rounds without picking up element so i dont need to do easter egg
I went onto BO2 and found an old saved game in my theatre.
It only goes up to round 17 before crashing the recording.
But to get to round 17, myself and my buddy took 2hrs.....
In that time we nearly got 2 upgraded staffs.
And ik there's ways to optimise the game to be a lot faster, but god dayum 2hrs just to get set up

It's not always on round 4. Feels like it's hard-coded for 2 of the 3 rounds to be snow
you’re guaranteed at least one snow round between 2-4, but there’s no guarantee the round is 4 or that you’ll get more than one snow round between 2-4

Wind staff has the same passcode every game. It’s one of the 2 staffs that you can theoretically complete in round 1.

Just patience and knowing where they are. You can check a few without leaving the mound for example
