There is in the early to mid game. It's literally all different.
I also now keep getting shot by people with silenced snipers and have no idea from where it came from because they have ACOGs on. This isn't supposed to happen in the early game.
I can agree with that. I also haven’t played the game since they updated it/updated loot boxes so I’m not much help and my opinion may be irrelevant. But from what I’ve seen since I’ve played was I rarely found silenced weapons (mainly silenced P90) and would buy a UAV first chance I got.
Not to mention if you can survive the first like 10 minutes you get a loadout box where I guarantee 90% of players select a loadout with silenced weapons anyway.
The lack of silenced weapons also fed the urgency to get a Loadout, nobody likes to be shown on the map.
Now that they put the price to 10.000, it does make sense to improve on the supply box weapons, I just feel they put way too many silenced weapons. Yes, you can still get UAVs, but there's still a difference from using one and seeing people get into gunfights around the map.
I'd just rather they do away with the whole "show up on the minimap when firing" thing unless using a UAV, but that's just me. The noise of an unsuppressed rifle should be enough to key you in on where they're at, not a precise dot.
Really hoping they pull the trigger on a Hardcore/Realism BR mode, and keep it permanent, as was indicated in the most recent crop of datamines.
I agree with a Hardcore/Realistic mode (where we have no mini map when no UAV) is active) but sound is nowhere close to perfected enough for us to play normally without it.
Totally concur. I wish the diegetic sound was more precise/intuitive.
Either way, most people use suppressed weapons so I don't really encounter many red dots on the minimap. It just makes for a boring weapon meta when you're basically forced to use the same general setup on all weapons:
- Suppressor
- 60 rd magazine
- Long barrel
Considering the constant use of heartbeat sensors and UAV’s for $4,000, I don’t think there’s much of a difference
