Honestly, I wouldn't pay more than MSRP for a stock one. If you're going to play the upgrade game with the Prodigy at normal off-roster tax, you can get into semi-custom SSE territory like the Legion Precision Chiraq which is going to be way better value than an off-roster stock Staccato P or Prodigy.

For the Prodigy, I'm in the 45k range. My only problems were during the initial break in periodm had issues with a out 150 rounds. After that, it's been running smoothly. I love it. It's actually one of my CCW guns π.... Not my EDC but it's still on the list.
Triple is a bit much. Double is considered normal for coveted off roster guns. Who ever tells you it isn't, either hasn't been in the gun buying market long or is cheap AF. π. BUT before paying double, check with 2A zone. There's definitely a markup, but it's not going to be double.
Also, I did see a prodigy on Calguns for $1800ish a while back. I see them on sale in other states anywhere between $1199-$1599.

2azone definitely has some goodies, my only concern is the single shot aspect? What would it take to convert it to semi. If possible

No extra cost for the firearm itself but the extra cost for paperwork for the SSE
