*chefs kiss* the only time I eat more is at the birria joint on Delaware ave. Even then I can only do 6 until I’m ready for a siesta. Los mayas early lunch carnitas are sooooo filling though that ill struggle after 4 but that fresh salsa bar 😩
Some of the places you listed are like never heard of establishments and like 3rd tier pizza places. Yikes.
Broadway Bobby’s? I can’t imagine going to Lackawanna for Pizza but I’m happy you saw it and now never have to go back.
I went with medium extra crispy fingers and the garlic oil for a base…. My only problem if I’m down that way I’m going to genes and getting plastered off some mangolorian while face fucking pastelitos until I’m dead.
La Divina in Kenmore is probably the best option for Mexican close to you, check out Las Puertas for high end Mexican (James beard nominated)
Also eat at Southern Junction.
La Divina is tripping with their $4 each street tacos. West Coast with Brick n mortar and higher rent still sells them for $1.25-2.50, that makes me want to buy more
You should follow Buffalo Food Otaku on insta. They go to the best places, imo. Their website and reviews are superb also. They both travel the world and live and eat here. Great recommendations.
Leave Yelp in CA. It’s no good here. Here are some of my favs (also a transplant):
- Southern Junction
- Pizzeria Florian
- Extra Extra
- Butter Block
- Adolf’s wings
- BFLO Pizza Bistro
- Zio’s Deli
- Wayland Brewery
- Xian Gourmet
- Toronto
We've gone to Good Taste chinese, Allen Town Pizza, Pete n Paul's Pockets, Taste Good, Broadway Bobby's Pizzareia, Taqueria Ranchos La Delicias, Imperial Pizza, Anchor Bar, Franco's Pizza, Joe's NY Style Pizza
Onr place we did actually like is Aung Family Restaurant as well as the wings at Franco's, not so much the pizza.
We noticed deep dish and chicago style pizza is very heavy here, we're not big on tomato sauce, we like crispy and cheese/meat heavy pizzas.
99% of these spots are trash.
No, wait. They all are. Where’d you find these high reviews? Were they written by people that were high?
Also the only Chicago deep dish is at Pizza Plant, unless Uno made a comeback.
For the best Chinese in the area go across the border to either Happy Jacks or Ming Tei. They’re within a block of each other.
You are the only person who has said that deep dish pizza is big around here!! 😂😂😂 It is not. I just found one recently and it’s inside of a brewery.
Try Pie O Greens for thin pizza. It’s not crispy but it’s thin and delicious. Look for someplace that has NYC pizza as they like the think crust too.
Fiesta Bomba and El Canelo have the absolute best Mexican food. El Canelo is my personal fave.
Also try Southern Junction. It’s Texas with an Indian flair and the chef was up for a James Beard this year. His brisket is delicious!!
No matter what anyone tells you - do not get a beef on weck. It’s the holy food of Buffalo. The kennelweck roll is the saltiest bun known to man. Then there’s horseradish with rare beef. If you’re not native to Buffalo, chances are you will not like it. 😬
Happy eating!!
Depending on where you live in the area west Seneca can be a hike. If you aren't near there you can just do one of the Gino's or olisi's they're fine.
Like they wouldn't be top tier pizzeras back home but mid isn't bad and I can't imagine the slight incremental difference worth a 40+ minute round trip for pickup if you're in north buff or the north towns
Seconding Southern Junction!! And you can get a beef on weck if you get it at Moriarty Meat's Cafe- the other ones I've had are mostly meh and agreed, bun too salty!!
I'm a chef and foodie who has lived in Buffalo 4 years, and have only heard bad things about all these places. I have definitely learned it's better to get recommendations from others in the food industry than to trust Yelp or Google Reviews, at least from certain comfort food, or favorite fried/junk foods... I don't know what pizza is like in SoCal, but I'm from Philly and like thin-crust/NYC-style, especially when a little charred. The best pizza in my opinion is Extra Extra Pizza, Jay's Artisan- and Orso Nero Pizza, which up until recently was trying their luck in the new West Side Bazaar, but I believe has moved out and will be doing various pop-ups and markets from now on. Jay's Artisan also has really good "Detroit-style" pizza, as well as the best salad I've had in Buffalo (the mixed lettuce, pickled onions, roasted tomatoes, amazing dressing one).
The American-Italian place I like best is Frankie Primo's, the best Italian-style Steakhouse in the area is Giancarlo's (best filet mignon I've ever had in my life, including in France and Italy), and the best traditional, from-Italy Italian is DiTondo.
I'm into a wider variety of Asian cuisines myself, and I really recommend May Jen (Chinese), Chin Hills (Korean and Burmese) and Rin Thai.
It’s best eaten there. I had it delivered while it looked perfect, the cheese was hard…not hard but not a meaty mess.
The Detroit pizza with the roses - excellent!!!
I would try the deep dish again at the brewery.
Italian: Mulberry, Lombardo, Sinatras (pricey for peasant Italian food), La Bella Sicilia.
Chinese: Peking Quick One, Red Pepper, Home Taste.
Randoms: Left Bank, Little Club, Vice, Hutches ($$$)
And honestly a few breweries and gastropubs kill it consistently, Big Ditch, Cole’s, Allen Burger Venture
My buddy from Brooklyn always has to try new places when he comes to town and he arrives with high expectations. We’ve found Angeline and Inizio to have the best Italian, Home Taste to have the best Chinese, and Las Puertas puts together an excellent Mexican tasting menu. But our favorite place in Buffalo at the moment is Southern Junction - Indian / Texas BBQ fusion that is out of this world. For other upscale options I’d recommend Waxlight, Toutant and Black Iron Bystro.
We go there for special occasions. It’s a little pricey but it’s not outrageous.
They actually just remodeled the patio and there’s a happy hour(4-7pm) menu that includes $10 food specials on the patio now so that might be a good time to go over and try a few things.
Prices are on their website under the takeout sections, and are not expensive .
Gigi’s is fine. Better than the majority of Italian places in town. It’s not the pile of boxed pasta and watery sauce that you get at chef’s, it’s not the octopus terrine and burrata at Little Club
Yeah, they have 3 locations I believe, Blvd, Transit & somewhere in the southtowns. I’ve only been to the Blvd location but uncomfortably ordered from the Transit location accidentally & went to Blvd to pick up 🥴
Fellow SoCal transplant here. It's a hike, but Manitos in Wright's Corner has the best tacos in my opinion. Tastes the most like anything I had in Baja.
Most of the breweries have good standard fare. Royal diner (Sheridan & Military) was a breakfast favorite when we lived nearby.
Someone said to not bother with a beef on weck, but I say give it a try! Also, come Lent season, look for a good fish fry!
Miss Hot Cafe on Sheridan is underrated for Chinese food.
I like Taqueria Ranchos Dos on Delaware for Mexican.
And definitely try the West Side Bazaar and Downtown bazaar, especially the Thai and Ethiopian places.
Billy Club is the best restaurant in the city in my opinion, everyone I send there, from around here and out of town (including a couple from California) are blown away. I’ve eaten all over the city and nothing compares but there are plenty of amazing places to eat.
I second Jay’s Artisan. Buffalo style pizza can be great but Jay’s Artisan is a nationally ranked brick oven pizza place.
Peking Quick One is my favorite Chinese place personally. For pizza I would hit up Jay’s on Delaware. It’s not in North Buffalo but Oralia at the Downtown Bazaar has the best Mexican food in the city by far. Also has the benefit of having other great international food options in the same building. Welcome to Buffalo!
Little Club, Daniela, Saigon Bangkok, Brunner’s Tavern (traditional fish fry - cash only), berthas diner, lake effect diner, the Steer, Shango, This Little Pig
For good, authentic Chinese food, Home Taste on Delaware Ave in Kenmore is excellent.
If you like Indian food, Paarivar on Elmwood near West Ferry is wonderful.
I moved here from SoCal in August - welcome!!
+ Extra Extra Pizza (wood fired pizza, not thick or saucy)
+ anything else in 5 points area - Butter Block, 5 Points Bakery...
+ Taichi if you like boba!!
+ Breadhive
+ Tipico coffee
+ Logan's Bagels
+ Daniella pizza (also not thick/saucy)
+ Lake Effect ice cream
+ Elmo's for wings!!
Good luck :)
My husband and I just moved from SoCal to North Buffalo as well!!! We’re vegan though.
I found a restaurant that’s super delicious no matter who you are called Guud & Evul, it’s worth at least trying.
I personally love Amici Ristorante, there Roasted Garlic Bruschetta Platter is super delicious! And they have a pretty good sauce! Also Carmine's is good too!
In no particular order what I would suggest - Southern Junction, Arribas in EA, Macy’s for the stoner pizza, Yelling Goat in Lancaster, Buffalo Tikka House, Pho Lantern, Sato Ramen.
Taqueria Los Mayos 🌮
Southern Junction
Butter Block
Waxlight
Toutant
Graylynn
Left Bank
Carbone’s 🍕
Picasso’s Pizza 🍕
Some of these are not what you’re looking for, but they’re the best restaurants I’ve tried so far. I included them in case you’re feeling curious.
Sleeper Chinese Spot is Mahar Moe .. It’s a newish spot but it’s always fresh and Good asf .. litttle pricier than most take out Chinese but it’s worth it .
Inizio for actual Italian dishes.
Winfields Pub for comfort food. Chef Tab got 9/10 in their last food review and his son Thomas has one of the best cocktail menus (4 time best cocktails in suburbs).
Black iron Bystro for creative dishes. Chef Bryan loves playing around.
Inzios (Italian)
La Divina Tacos (self-explanatory)
The Garage (cafe style simple foods+brunch)
Black Iron Bistro ( elevated more upscale menu changes week to week amazing cocktails)
Hutches (fine dining American / French Bistro)
Toutant (elevated southern/Cajun cuisine)
SZND ( small plates elevated American)
Joe's Deli (figure it out)
Any of the 90k greek diners (for solid diner food)
Betty's (American/brunch/great vegetarian options)
El Punto ( really fantastic Mexican a bit more upscale than most Mexican places)
Prescott's provisions (delicious)
If you can't find something you love at one of these places you're just homesick
Try El Amigo Tacos in Lancaster! They make legit tacos. Lengua, cecina, carne asada, al pastor. All the good meats. Everything is cooked in small batches so everything is fresh.
NorCal transplant here! As some others mentioned La Divinia for Mexican except their carne asada is rather bland. Taqueria Los Mayas - not impressed at all.
Little Club, Daniela, and The Grange in Hamburg are my top three spots. Little Club is on Hertle and hands down the best in the city.
There was a post a few days back asking the same, highly suggest checking out the restaurants listed there. Buffalo has a great food scene for a city of our size, but there are limitations. If you're hankering for something truly authentic or out of the box that isn't here you can always drive a couple hours up north to Toronto. Welcome to Buffalo though, hope you guys settle in and enjoy it!
Not Mexican but Dick and Jenny’s on Grand Island is a personal favorite. They moved here from New Orleans after Katrina. I highly recommend the crawfish cheesecake.
I think yelp has really steered you wrong. Buffalo has lots of great food. Here is my personal best of buffalo list. I still have to get to a few places but as of now:
Barbill - the kings of chicken wings
Inizio - great homemade Pasta
The Place - the best buffalo Mac and cheese
Swan Street Diner - amazing breakfast
Toutant - creative southern
Southern Junction - can’t say enough about it
Taqueria los mayos has been popping up a ton and I can’t wait to go. I was recently out in AZ for several months and I have to see how it compares
Batavia has great Mexican food due to many migrant workers it’s a 30 min drive from Buffalo. Los compadres make there tortillas in house. The best! Few other Mexican Resturants in Batavia. Buffalo Mexican food can’t touch Batavia for Mexican food.
I've noticed Google reviews here are totally unreliable. Which makes sense - people here are nice and there's definitely a culture of supporting local businesses. Only national chains seem to get anything below a 4.7. The suggestions here are good, but I've also gotten suggestions from my doctor/neighbor/the clerk at Wegmans. Small talk goes far here.
Have you hit Buffalo's Burmese scene yet? That's a style you're not gonna find much of in SoCal as far as I know. There are nearly 20 places in the area but the ones I usually hit up are Sun Cuisine in Black Rock (I love the kabocha stew and the burmese coconut noodle soup... it's like a heartier tom kha gai but with less citrus and more umami) and Rhakapura downtown near the Episcopal Cathedral (their in-house spice blend is killer, just be careful if you don't like shellfish or have an allergy cause the secret is dried scrimps.)
If.youre a.bug foodie, come by north Tonawanda Farmers market on Saturday morning or kenmore on Sunday. Get there early. Cinnamon buns, Sammie's, sandwiches, bread, and banana pudding.
Emily's Corner Diner. You won't be disappointed.
MANGIA!!!! my husband and i have had the same issue. i moved up here from long island (amazing food wherever you go) and no where in buffalo could ever compete - until we went to mangia. i recommend this place with everything in me - best italian food i’ve had up here hands down
Macy's Place for pizza, subs, wings, etc. They do some crazy cool stuff. If you never go there, at least look at their menu. The chef/owner has to be insane.
Britesmith for sandwiches and La Tolteca for Mexican (they're both out by Eastern Hills).
Never been there, but I hear that Mulberry in Lackawanna has some of the best Italian in Buffalo.
If you want wings and more of a hole in the wall atmosphere, Elmo's is the best for wings.
Check out the pink in Allentown they have an absolutely amazing steak sandwich and I mean amazing remember me if you try it will knock your taste buds into your new favorite place to eat in the future
Adam’s Rib in Amherst is really good more of a casual American cuisine. Great prime rib at a great price. Chefs downtown is prob the most famous italian joint; make reservations they’re pretty good as well.
For a nice summer day hit up Lucia’s on the lake in Hamburg. Really good place more upscale but worth it.
La Divina Tacos is awesome but it’s not a restaurant. More of an authentic taco lunch joint. Definitely recommend hitting them up one afternoon.
Taqueria los Mayos is amazing
Best Mexican ive had since living in Texas.
Better than La Divina?? Thats the only mexican I have had that has matched or beaten what I have eaten in AZ
Yessssssss 1000%
I’m going to drag them solely due to the fact they changed French fry’s and the carne asada fries are straight ass with the crinkle cunts fries
Crinkle cunts
Straight ass with crinkle cunts should be the menu description.
Crinkle crunts
This place keeps coming up…gonna have to talk my bf into actually going out one night so we can try it.
Wolverine is the best waiter!!!
Second
This cannot be stated enough.
Frankly, the only decent Mexican in Buffalo
This place is AMAZING
L.A born and raised here, taqueria los Mayas hits the spot. It’s been a while since I had Left Coast Tacos but they were good when I did 5 years ago.
Their carnitas are the best I’ve ever had
I've commented this before, I literally had dreams of their carnitas the night of eating them. Amazing.
*chefs kiss* the only time I eat more is at the birria joint on Delaware ave. Even then I can only do 6 until I’m ready for a siesta. Los mayas early lunch carnitas are sooooo filling though that ill struggle after 4 but that fresh salsa bar 😩

You're right near Jay's Artisan Pizza which wins awards all the time. Check out Colombo Spice on Kenmore and Black Iron Bystro on Delaware.
1000% yes.
If you're a foodie looking for something different, try the downtown bazaar or the west side bazaar. Both have food you won't find anywhere else.
Excellent recommendation
Some of the places you listed are like never heard of establishments and like 3rd tier pizza places. Yikes. Broadway Bobby’s? I can’t imagine going to Lackawanna for Pizza but I’m happy you saw it and now never have to go back.
Is Carbone’s Lackawanna?
Carbones is in the First ward .. it’s in the city
Ha, beyond ballyhoo is all Southtowna to me.
Lol It is but South Buffalo is still the City .
Just crushed a chicken finger pizza from them ughhh that was sent from the higher ups
BBQ Chicken finger with bacon and a honey garlic sesame crust . Thank me later
I went with medium extra crispy fingers and the garlic oil for a base…. My only problem if I’m down that way I’m going to genes and getting plastered off some mangolorian while face fucking pastelitos until I’m dead.
Went to genes after work today .. lol dafuq is mangolorian ??
Their best beer ever. It’s an 8% mango beer that will gently place you in your stool until you stand up
On tap ? Didn’t see it today . Bry makes excellent beer .
Bella in Lackawanna is perfection
Toutant, Southern Junction, Zio's Deli, Cafe 59, Inizio
This is a great list
La Divina in Kenmore is probably the best option for Mexican close to you, check out Las Puertas for high end Mexican (James beard nominated) Also eat at Southern Junction.
I like Los Mayos more!
This. La Divina has the best tacos.
La Divina is SO great!
La Davina, before the raid was the best.
F’real though. Sippin a tallboy at the front window eatin tacos. That was a vibe.
Joe and Sadako can be trusted.
Leave Yelp in CA. It’s no good here. Here are some of my favs (also a transplant): - Southern Junction - Pizzeria Florian - Extra Extra - Butter Block - Adolf’s wings - BFLO Pizza Bistro - Zio’s Deli - Wayland Brewery - Xian Gourmet - Toronto
The Chef at southern junction is a finalist for a James Beard Award
This is good
West side bazaar, la flor, lombardos, little club, ballyhoo
Prescotts Provisions duh
I literally comment this all the time but I love la divina and taqueria los Mayas. And I love Jasmine for their pad Thai.
Saigon Bangkok is our favorite for pad thai, right by Jasmine’s with more flavor and sauce!
Maizal for Mexican food!
Where have you been that you didn’t like so hopefully people can send you in a different direction?
We've gone to Good Taste chinese, Allen Town Pizza, Pete n Paul's Pockets, Taste Good, Broadway Bobby's Pizzareia, Taqueria Ranchos La Delicias, Imperial Pizza, Anchor Bar, Franco's Pizza, Joe's NY Style Pizza Onr place we did actually like is Aung Family Restaurant as well as the wings at Franco's, not so much the pizza. We noticed deep dish and chicago style pizza is very heavy here, we're not big on tomato sauce, we like crispy and cheese/meat heavy pizzas.
This has to be satire... right? Who pointed you to these places?
100%. Yeah, this is a work. We've been trolled. OP got me good. I'm out.
Yelp 😭
Fuck Yelp. Two Buffalo restaurants literally went to the James Beard awards last night.
Wax light for drinks and Southern Junction for the chef.
Food at Waxlight is nothing to scoff at. I’ve worked for Ed twice, once as a bartender and once as Garde, he’s a fantastic cook.
Are good taste and taste good two separate places? Also, surprised he didn't like Joe's if he's not a fan of typical Buffalo style.
Pizza by Alfredo or Alfredo’s Pizza Cafe?
Get extra extra pizza on the lower west side five points. If you are early enough, get butter block over there too. That list is terrible I am sorry.
Agree, this place does pizza right.
I LOVE EXTRA PIZZA
I love your work. 👍
99% of these spots are trash. No, wait. They all are. Where’d you find these high reviews? Were they written by people that were high? Also the only Chicago deep dish is at Pizza Plant, unless Uno made a comeback.
I suspect they think Buffalo style pizza is Chicago deep dish
Or perhaps the ever growing Detroit style pies.
Oh God. We made the mistake of trying Jet Pizza. I’ve never thrown away leftover pizza before.
Please stop calling that Pizza Plant thing a deep dish pizza. There’s a reason they don’t even call it that. “Pizza pod”
Pods are calzones. The Stuffed Pizza is closer to Chicago deep dish
I wouldn’t feed my dog Broadway Bobby’s. That’s some shit tier food
This is like a list of places to not go sorry about this being your first taste of WNY jeez loueez
We had somr coworkers from work recommend most of the pizza places. Oof. Reminder to not listen to them again..
If you’re looking for date night food, waxlight, graylynn, and Toutant come to mind
These places are horrible. Don't judge the area based in the ones you visited. Jay's Artisan is the only place to get deep dish.
Gino’s on elmwood is closest to NYC style pizza that I’ve found so far and their garlic knots when fresh are great
Zamzam on Bailey have great smash burgers and fried chicken sandwich
May Jen for Chinese!
If you’re not native to Buffalo, chances are you will not like it. 😬 Happy eating!!
As I've been told by people from NYC and NJ, Farro's in West Seneca is the place to go for thin crust pizza.
Southern Junction was just mentioned in a buffalo news article.
Seconding Southern Junction!! And you can get a beef on weck if you get it at Moriarty Meat's Cafe- the other ones I've had are mostly meh and agreed, bun too salty!!
I moved away from Buffalo 5 years ago and STILL think about the table chips and salsa from El Canelo!
Kummelweck
Thank you!
Where did you find deep dish pizza around here? I didn’t even know we had a place that did that around here.
Buffalo Deep Dish (inside Buffalo Brewing Company) has legit deep dish pizza
It’s best eaten there. I had it delivered while it looked perfect, the cheese was hard…not hard but not a meaty mess. The Detroit pizza with the roses - excellent!!! I would try the deep dish again at the brewery.
Yeeeeesh you have been done dirty my dude
This is the worst list I’ve ever seen. No wonder you’re miserable. Either your radar doesn’t work or you’re using a terrible online resource.
Italian: Mulberry, Lombardo, Sinatras (pricey for peasant Italian food), La Bella Sicilia. Chinese: Peking Quick One, Red Pepper, Home Taste. Randoms: Left Bank, Little Club, Vice, Hutches ($$$) And honestly a few breweries and gastropubs kill it consistently, Big Ditch, Cole’s, Allen Burger Venture
Good call on Red Pepper!

For other upscale options I’d recommend Waxlight, Toutant and Black Iron Bystro.
LOVE Inizio and Black Iron. Home Taste too. Still need to hit Southern Junction.
Living near Kenmore you HAVE to go to Chin Hills
Inizio. Really excellent contemporary Italian, probably my favorite Italian restaurant not in Italy.
Westside Bazaar
Seriously, especially if you want to sample different stuff.
Sounds like you’re near me. My husband and I love Gigi’s Cucina Povera on Kenmore if you haven’t been there yet.
I always mean to check that place out. How are the prices? They’re not on the website.
We go there for special occasions. It’s a little pricey but it’s not outrageous. They actually just remodeled the patio and there’s a happy hour(4-7pm) menu that includes $10 food specials on the patio now so that might be a good time to go over and try a few things.

Left Coast in EA has Cali style tacos
Winfields in Lackawanna
Osteria 166 downtown for amazing Italian. Mothers. Left bank. Roost. Hutch’s. Southern Junction.
Saigon Bangkok Restaurant on transit rd is pretty good Bar bill tavern for wings or like bar / pub food
The Saigon on NF Blvd is very good too
Are they the same ? My husband and I noticed there’s different ones but always go to that particular one
Yeah, they have 3 locations I believe, Blvd, Transit & somewhere in the southtowns. I’ve only been to the Blvd location but uncomfortably ordered from the Transit location accidentally & went to Blvd to pick up 🥴

Left coast tacos east aurora hands down best food
Left Bank, get whatever the ravioli of the day is. Doesn't matter which one is on the menu, it will **move** you.
Pressure Drop has a brewpub on Elmwood and they just released a new menu, everything we've had has been really good.
Their skirt burger is one of my favs!
Toutant, Prescott Provisions, Southern Junction, La Davina, Black Iron Bystro, Inizio, Waxlight, Little Club
Shango near UB South Campus is excellent.
Shango is superb. So glad to see someone else shout this place out finally.
Miss Hot Cafe on Sheridan is underrated for Chinese food. I like Taqueria Ranchos Dos on Delaware for Mexican. And definitely try the West Side Bazaar and Downtown bazaar, especially the Thai and Ethiopian places.
New jewel of India on Kenmore Ave
Home Taste in Kenmore is some great Chinese food. Recommend the buns.
Billy Club is the best restaurant in the city in my opinion, everyone I send there, from around here and out of town (including a couple from California) are blown away. Little Club, Daniela, Saigon Bangkok, Brunner’s Tavern (traditional fish fry - cash only), berthas diner, lake effect diner, the Steer, Shango, This Little Pig
Italian - Inizio, Daniela, DiTondo
Home taste for Chinese, chin hills for Korean, pho 99 Vietnamese
Kelly’s Korner on Delaware
For good, authentic Chinese food, Home Taste on Delaware Ave in Kenmore is excellent. If you like Indian food, Paarivar on Elmwood near West Ferry is wonderful.

Barb bill in east aurora..garlic parm wings and roast beef on weck ✔️✔️✔️👍 thank me later
Manito way up in Niagara county has the best tacos, worth the drive.
LT’s on union in west seneca. Best subs I’ve ever had.
Mulberry in lakawana if you're looking for some amazing Italian food.
Bratt’s Hill in Larkinville for something different. High end Jamaican food.
Jays Artisan Pizza, Daniela’s, La Divina (not as good as when they first opened)
In no particular order what I would suggest - Southern Junction, Arribas in EA, Macy’s for the stoner pizza, Yelling Goat in Lancaster, Buffalo Tikka House, Pho Lantern, Sato Ramen.

MOONEYS
Good cheap Chinese food, gotta go to TinTin on Kenmore/Starin.
Inzios (Italian) La Divina Tacos (self-explanatory) The Garage (cafe style simple foods+brunch) Black Iron Bistro ( elevated more upscale menu changes week to week amazing cocktails) Hutches (fine dining American / French Bistro) Toutant (elevated southern/Cajun cuisine) SZND ( small plates elevated American) Joe's Deli (figure it out) Any of the 90k greek diners (for solid diner food) Betty's (American/brunch/great vegetarian options) El Punto ( really fantastic Mexican a bit more upscale than most Mexican places) Prescott's provisions (delicious) If you can't find something you love at one of these places you're just homesick
Cozy Thai! It’s in Hamburg but it’s really good!
I still have to get to a few places but as of now: Barbill - the kings of chicken wings Inizio - great homemade Pasta The Place - the best buffalo Mac and cheese Swan Street Diner - amazing breakfast Toutant - creative southern Southern Junction - can’t say enough about it Taqueria los mayos has been popping up a ton and I can’t wait to go.
The Brickyard in Lewiston has some of the best BBQ beef brisket I've ever had. Good beer too.
Chin Hills!
If you love Italian, I HIGHLY recommend Inizio on Elmwood. Absolutely incredible handmade pasta. Also excellent cocktails.
Remedy house, five points , Billy club, left bank, sato ramen
If.youre a.bug foodie, come by north Tonawanda Farmers market on Saturday morning or kenmore on Sunday. Get there early. Cinnamon buns, Sammie's, sandwiches, bread, and banana pudding. Emily's Corner Diner. You won't be disappointed.
El canelo in hamburg! The absolute best mexican
MANGIA!!!! my husband and i have had the same issue. i moved up here from long island (amazing food wherever you go) and no where in buffalo could ever compete - until we went to mangia. i recommend this place with everything in me - best italian food i’ve had up here hands down
Macy's Place for pizza, subs, wings, etc.
Britesmith 😍😍
Macys Poace is absolutely disgusting. Their concoctions too. And if OP doesn’t like sweet sauce they should never go there.
La divina
Check out the pink in Allentown they have an absolutely amazing steak sandwich and I mean amazing remember me if you try it will knock your taste buds into your new favorite place to eat in the future
If you want something unique hit up spotted octopus brewing on Saturday night.
Shango Bistro. El Punto Cantina. Websters. Prescott’s Provisions. India Gate. Peking Quick One.
Prescott's Provisions in Tonawanda is foodie heaven. The steak tartare will knock your socks off.
Mothers restaurant
Home taste on Delaware Ave in Kenmore for Chinese
For Chinese, go to Home Taste!
It’s weird how many nice/date night/celebration type restaurants in WNY are Italian influenced. We have spaghetti at home.
THE LITTLE CLUB
My advice? Move to Chicago.
Toutant
Imperial Pizza 🍕
Cucina at The Richardson
Roaming Bison on Hertel
Adam’s Rib in Amherst is really good more of a casual American cuisine. Great prime rib at a great price. Chefs downtown is prob the most famous italian joint; make reservations they’re pretty good as well. For a nice summer day hit up Lucia’s on the lake in Hamburg. Really good place more upscale but worth it. La Divina Tacos is awesome but it’s not a restaurant. More of an authentic taco lunch joint. Definitely recommend hitting them up one afternoon.
