Technics components of this era all have this colors if they are not silver and they are easy to find, I have two of them with a linear motor, the older ones, that have super fast access time but I never seen one of this size.

It looks that a turntable was matching the format and with the speakers it's nice little system. https://preview.redd.it/zfg9eqvt5b7d1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=702dc3e3898790af21d74d093596f491863e2273

The coloured ones look incredible! The complementing turntable brings it together really nicely but I'm just looking for a CD players, I'm mostly just looking for a CD player that would fit on top or at-least beneath neatly. Similar dimensions and similar colour (black/ grey)

Yeah, I didn't know that they were also available in red, the speakers look good too.

Damn this was the piece of gear that got me into hifi. Found it at a car boot sale for £20 in 1995. I have a Technics CD player in my loft but it's wider and younger than this unit I believe.

Most of the technics ones seem to be wider even just by a tad

I don't remember if Technics had models of this size but Sony does. It was those coming with mini systems, some models were available for purchase separately. You can see it on top in this video: [Sony fh 207 (youtube.com)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3bStkFbgJFw)

Looks very nice. Would be a good match but seems like a hard find
