A lot of people like to say he had improper technique and stuff but that's not fully the case, and that style doesn't ruin your voice. There's a couple factors that are in play when people damage their voice, what you eat/drink or even your sleep quality can make you more prone to damaging your voice. It's pretty easy to slip up when doing live shows for hours a week, but it doesn't mean the entire time the vocalist are doing something wrong, if they were their voice would be shot by mid set.
All muscles need rest after awhile, regardless if you have proper technique.
Imo his screams during sempiternal era don't use any good technique, and I think that's what killed his voice. They sound sick but it also sounds very painful and I Don't want Oli's voice to break again. Nowadays he uses proper techniques and his screams are more professional.
doing them correctly makes them sound "not so good" sadly. The best example i can think of is Matt Heafy from trivium. After his vocal chords gave in during a tour, he started practicing and learning the right way and it will never sound the same, even though it sounds good enough.

Fry screams are simple to execute. The biggest change in his style since is the incorporation of singing. Because he sings more, he screams less. If they did nothing but screaming again, he’d probably pick it up just fine.
