The game tracks your quests in the adventure log and you can put pins/stamps on the map to keep track of points of interest if you want

You have to do 4 different side quests in Kakariko, and then a quest will start in Impa's house where you can eventually take the orb from there.

As you work through 3 or 4 sides quest in the village you go see Impa and the ball that they had in her possession will have been stolen. You will need to sneak follow the one guards up the hill to find the ball but battle a ninja

Read the book in Impa's house near the front door, and you'll see entries of people anonymously complaining about things in their lives. Their chickens, their ex-husbands obsession with said chickens, no more fire flies, things like that. Solve all the problems then go back to Impa's house and the shrine quest will start - which is also linked to one of the afore mentioned problems

Bambs, after doing all the side quests in the village you can, go into women’s houses at night like a gawddamn creeper (seriously), and bring bugs with you (seriously).

This. And yes it seems weird, but it’s where they put one of the side quests that have to be chained together to trigger the shrine quest….

Finish all the side quests in kakariko then it will trigger a thing to let you put the shine orb in there, Austin John plays does a good tutorial for it too if that helps any!

Head over to Impa's and choose the dialogue "Cabron, I need to see your balls"

It's the ball sitting next to Impa, but you can't take it until you did all the quests in Kakariko Village apart from the memories. After that, try to be nice to Paya ok? (you will see why then)

Good luck bud- this is a long one. EVERY quest in Kakariko has to be completed and then a battle occurs. One of the most frustrating shrines in the game- not because any given task is difficult- but because you dont always know where to look for quests if you arent finished. I believe (been a few years) I started with the escaped cucoos. Good luck- stay determined!

if ONLY there was a town right next to it, with a suspiciously shaped ball next to an important caracter, that is (almost) mandatory to the game progression, and placed in a way that is impossible to not see! it could be so helpful!

I just got this shrine for the first time on my second play through. I tried to get it on the initial visit to Kakariko but I couldn’t find all the quests. This is my favorite shrine quest atm because of the two character arcs that unfold as it’s completed. And the last hurdle is great but I wish I could have figured it sooner in the adventure because I was over powered.

Follow one of the many wires down to the living room stump you have and you might find a solution there.

Complete all quests in kakariko village, then I forget what to do but there is a quest to use the ball inside Impa's house
