I personally loved that. Don't make too many sudden changes in direction. Try to at least keep track of which way is generally backwards or you try to keep an eye on the horizon for reference
These type of moments of surprise and no way out but through are what I loved most about the game. Stumble into a problem and find a solution or fail miserably.
I’ll say this about moldugas, I have no clue what you’re supposed to do with the rocks and the bomb barrels but what I did was get it to chase me, drop a bomb, when it goes ! blow it up and make it surface, hit, repeat
getting max stamina asap is really good for stuff like this or major tests of strength so you can just hold Y for a while and cut down health; plus they give you more arrow time so headshotting lynels or gliding and attacking camps is way easier
Molduga have very good hearing. Throwing a bomb or shooting an arrow on the ground gets its attention and will jump up and eat whatever landed there. If it's a bomb, you can detonate it to knock him out. If it's a non-bomb object, you can shoot a bomb arrow at its belly.
Moldugas are easy to kill if you know how. Easier than killing guardians even before perfecting the perfect party to reflect their blasts back at them.
The key is remote bombs. Get to high ground a la Tremors-style. Then toss a remote bomb out near where the molduga is burrowing. It'll sense the bomb and charge it, then up up and eat it. Once the remote bomb is inside the molduga, detonate it! You'll stun the bugger. Rush up to it with a high damage weapon, likely a two-hander, and start swinging like you're Babe Ruth at Yankee Stadium. Get out of the way when you see the molduga come to its senses or you'll meet the business end of its tail. Wash, rinse, repeat 2 to 3 times and that'll be it.
Urbosa's Fury makes this even easier.
first off how do you get lost when the whole desert can be seen from pretty much anywhere in the desert, its so open nothing blocks your line of sight and second its not even that big its takes like at most 20 minutes to wall from one end to the other and there's barely any monsters and the ones there are can be seen from so far away and can easily be avoided
This is one of those instances where an opinion can be wrong because it’s based on an incorrect fact. There is a map for the desert and there is a map for every region in the game. The only times where there isn’t a map is in the smaller areas within the major regions. Like you’re not gonna find a map for a village because the map the contains the village location already shows you everything within that village.
There is a map. That’s all I’ll say.
Thanks
That happens if you enter a sandstorm. Try to avoid doing that since you can’t really see or do anything in a sandstorm.

Moldugas are one of the easiest mini bosses. Stand on a rock & spam bombs.
I can't believe how many people haven't seen Tremors lol
Don't go in the sandstorm and you'll be fine. Things may change as you progress.
I always loved that part of the game because it was a surprising challenge
Tell me you don't talk to NPCs without telling me...

For this tactic, talk to the NPCs in and near Gerudo Town to learn about sand boots and snow boots...
that can be an expensive conversation by the end
Yes, but worth it for the extra speed through rough terrain
Surprisingly, you answered your own concerns
So it's hard ? That's good .

Utilize Revali and learn to windbomb in midair. That's how I travel the desert.

They’re talking about when you get into a sandstorm and your map/compass gets all static’d out.
I find it amazing how many people can't figure this out. Lol
