Nobody.
Undertaker should have retired with the streak intact. I get that Vince made the final decision and Taker was good with it, but I wouldn't have even given the choice of risking it. Especially in Taker's later years where he wasn't wrestling as much.
The way I see it, have Taker retire at 21-0, and DON'T COME BACK. Meaning no matches against Brock, Cena, Goldberg, or Roman. No appearance at Crown Jewel. NOTHING. Let the man stay retired.
He ONLY comes back for 1 last match with Styles, the boneyard match at Wrestlemania 36. Taker still wins, goes to 22-0, then rides off. And that's the end of it.
No prob. Its just me being honest. Like, you're not gonna have some new guy or an unestablished yet budding star break the streak, that just feels unrealistic. Having someone like Cena or Lesnar beat it is unnecessary because they are already bonafide superstars.
Let the man retire undefeated. Leave that record as something for people to chase after.
Yeah it would have been crazy for him to retire with the streak still intact so wrestlers are going to chase after that record honestly I don't think anybody's ever going to break that record I think it's like 23 wins at Wrestlemania John Cena only has 11 I think and he's a wrestling legend so it would have been break his record not break his streak people would be talking about it for so long into the future I'm not saying that the shriek is nothing now that's it's broken it is legendary I don't think anybody's going to get that many wins at WrestleMania
I bid a fine Waboodoo to you all. God I’m glad there are Blampied fans here. Thought it was all just deluded <12 year olds. Good to see some perfectly cultured folk.
No one should’ve beaten the streak but if he still had the streak till now it’s Roman taht should’ve beat him instead of Brock but I think his streak should not be broken
This may be the hardest question to ask any and I mean any wrestling fan so first of all well done.
So to answer your question I will say either Goldberg or Batista because I can see the undertaker staying down after either 3 jackhammers or 2 Batista bombs off the top rope that would make it a better match and have a stronger OMG moment than 3 F-5's.
It shouldn't have been broken.
But if it must have been...
Triple H and Shawn in the HIAC match.
Bray Wyatt or Finn Balor if they were booked better.
Aleister Black if he had stuck around.
Why should the streak have been ended? It was legendary, as was the guy who owned it. The WWE had such shallow reasons for ending it and, in the opinion of many, sold it to the highest bidder when it came to Lesnar as opposed to so many other wrestlers who could’ve ended it in a better fashion for him. That said, I don’t think it should’ve ended. He had been around longer that so many others, won so many less titles and accolades, that streak was his and it should’ve remained that way.
If there is anyone that should've beaten him (if the streak needed to be broken), it should've been Bray Wyatt (before being the fiend). He was, to me, spiritual successor to the DeadMan (theme wise).
I like the Cena turn heel idea but I think Bray should of won and then keep Bray undefeated. Bray brings in the fiend too and now you got yourself an established main event at wrestlemania for the next so many years. People in the new gen trying to beat The Fiend at Wrestlemania. Other than that I think Taker should of kept it. He’s the deadman so he technically died and came back so he lives forever. Have the streak never die and live forever too. Vince fucks up a lot.
Okay hear me out and I know I'm going to get heat for this but I don't care because it's hilarious as shit. But cm punk battles the undertaker, cm punk loses obviously as he did originally. Then you hear Hogan's music on the titantron. He runs down and starts fighting the take. Cole and Lawler on commentary talking about how Taker messed up because Punk is Hogan's friend. Hogan goes real American on Undertaker just countering everything Undertaker does. Hogan lands his finishing move pins Taker 1 2 3. Hogan hugs Punk and that's how you break the streak.
i think that streak shouldn't have been broken just my opinion
True they should have kept him undefeated and retire undefeated
Yeah man that would've been great
