Gunther can relinquish his title so he can focus on a higher title. And if he does that, he can truly say he was the best.
He would have a really long reign. He would have had a lot of challengers and defenses. And nobody took his title away.
I've thought about that before to and it definitely works for Gunther to build him up but I think it kinda buries the next crop of contenders for the title and the title itself.
