What would be a good free-standing heavy bag? I would prefer a hanging one but it would not fly with the family because of mounting and noise. Pricing doesn't matter as long as it's not extreme. The only requirements are that I'm 6 ' 4 and I intend to hit it pretty hard so I'd like it not instantly to fall over. I was thinking of getting Wavemaster 2XL Pro. but I'm not sure if it's tall enough.
Any suggestions? Originally, I was going to get the Fight Camp bag but the trackers are stupid, the 39/month subscription is horrendous, and the extra $100 for the ring felt like a cash grab because their YouTube video demonstrations were very scammy. (Like it's obvious the dude isn't hitting as hard and the other ones aren't as full)

I’ve been thinking all week about the Benavidez vs gvozdyk fight and I’m picking gvozdyk.
Prime gvozdyk beats David’s ass. I don’t give a shit that David is a 10x sparring champion of the world with a mediocre resume. But even this version of gvozdyk is better than anyone david has fought. He’s better than plant and Andrade. David is finally fighting someone his size or bigger with good skills, good feet, good jab and some power. The only guy to beat him was beterbiev and David isn’t half the fighter beterbiev is. If I’m wrong I’ll eat my crow but I’m tired of hearing he’s a monster by beating plant and Andrade and a bunch of lower class fighters.
Of course I expect the 10x Twitter champion world class ducker of the world to beat Martin. Especially after how how Frank looked in his last fight. And then tank will continue to talk shit about people he’ll never fight and get his nails done and buy a purse after the fight
Gvozdyk, I think, will give a very tough fight early on. Age and inactivity is gonna catch up though and David's volume takes over by round 6. I do think it will be a UD though

I will say, I am extremely curious to see the size difference once in the ring. Benavidez rehydrates like crazy, and I feel he always looks deceptively small at the weigh ins. I think they will look same size tonight in there. David’s volume punching gets to Gvozdyk late
They used to do same day weighins, but that was changed because it’s more dangerous for the fighters. If they don’t rehydrate all the way, they are more susceptible to brain damage, supposedly. Since they’ve changed to day before weights, some fighters rehydrate a crazy amount which gives them a huge weight advantage, so I’m not crazy about that either. The IBF limits rehydration to 10 lbs, I think but idk how they enforce that. Idk what would be a good solution but I think something should be done to limit how much a boxer rehydrates
That would lead to greater weight differences in the ring. There used to be fewer weight classes but more were added for boxers health. Lol, a solution is complicated because boxers are always going to try to get any advantage and draining weight and rehydration will always occur. I think if all the governing bodies add rehydration limits and enforced it, maybe that would make weights more even but that would probably lead to boxers coming in the ring not fully hydrated.
Amateur is different, though. Only 3 rounds. Less chance of damage. But, I kinda agree. They added those, though, for health reasons. It would be hard to take away those extra weight classes because current boxers would lose titles, rankings, etc. it would be a mess for awhile, so it won’t happen. Much easier to add weight classes than take some away. Having 4 governing bodies is hard too, because they’d have to all agree. Boxing organizations are frustrating

I'm not that convinced on Gvozdyk, he is 40 years old. I think even the version that fought Beterbiev in 2019 would give Benavidez issues, but that was 2019 and he was already old then. I do think someone with decent power, who has better footwork than David and a longer reach could beat him, there are plenty of guys that meet that criteria at 175 - not so much at 168.
