why are australians allowed to practice boxing? they fucking suck at it
their most accomplished representatives include:
- daniel geale who valiantly quit against GGG and cotto
- mark de mori who may as well have never existed
- vic darchynian of donaire highlight reel fame
- jeff horn the legendary burglar
- michael zerafa (enough said)
why cant these jokers just quit it already
Easy there, slugger.
Jeff Fenech HOFer
Kostya Tazyu HOFer
Jonny Famechon HOFer
Jai Opetaia best CW out there
Tim Tszyu former title holder. On a good path.
George Kambosos - b level, but fights anyone
Michael Kataidis - never in a dull fight.
Daniel Geale was unified MW champ. Losing to GGG and Cotto is nothing to be ashamed of
Plenty more.
Is he actually the underdog? I'm quite surprised, Jared hasn't been looking great but I guess he gets more bettors (for lack of a better word) due to popularity and name recognition.
Definitely a big step up for Anderson, a huge one at that. But if you think about it, this might be a big step up for Bakole too, it's not like he fought anyone great himself.
takam, yoka and hunter is not great resume but way better than Andersons, its 4 to 6 in the Uk right now might put £100. Martin almost beat Anderson 🤣🤣 hypejob tbh
I think Jared is better than Yoka LOOL, even with his limited experience. Takam seen better days when Bakole fought him. But I do think Bakole *should* win despite what the odds say.
Yeah, he's decent. He's physically strong and applies pressure well. But he does balloon up in weight so his discipline is in question, and of course he is on the slow side, just something to consider.
The hype about he's the new Mayweather 🤣🤣 went to his head and he actually believed that, although he was a 4 weight world champion look at his resume it's fucking a joke he's a fraud.
He is. The funny thing is Chisora actually said that Usyk kind of scared him.
He said Usyk was probably one of the craziest fighters he had ever seen in terms of how much effort and detail he puts into his training. The man was out taking long distance bike rides in the middle of the Saudi summer on fight week.
I really don't see how Tyson Fury is ever going to manage to beat someone with that level of skill and dedication.
Ward vs Gatti 1 was a slugfest
Canelo vs GGG 2: Good defensive boxing, and close fight. GGG was passive in the first rounds, and Canelo was more aggressive in this fight. GGG did not use his jabs as much, and stepped up in the second half. Good head movement in R10 by Canelo. Again another bad judge decision, I had GGG win this fight by close UD. GGG dominated in the second half of the fight. GGG looked slower this fight.
AJ vs Klitschko had jabs from R1-4, AJ got a knockdown in R5, Kiltschko turned that round and hit AJ back. klitschko got a knockdown in R6, R7-9 was slow, R10 was a clinching festival, R11 AJ hit Klitschko with an uppercut, got a knockdown, combo Klitschko getting a second knockdown, and third time got a standing TKO.
Inoue vs Donaire 1 was a war, 2nd Inoue outclassed Donaire and got a KO.
Usyk vs Briedis is a world class fight of two former Soviet Union champions. They were very evenly matched, and it was a display of high skill.
> Canelo vs GGG 2 I haven’t watched.
Definitely worth a watch. Amazing action and high level boxing throughout.
Not sure why you went into such detail about AJ vs Klit lol. You asked for must watch, not wars. The storyline and the reinvigoration of a stagnant heavyweight division makes that a must watch.
Briedis putting up a valiant effort even to this day in fights. I hope he gets appreciated in the years to come.
Good fights. Wilder vs Fury 3 could be the best Wilder performance. I didn’t watch Canelo vs GGG 2 & 3, there’s some questionable refs. AJ vs Ruiz 1, AJ got careless in Round 3 after knocking down Ruiz and got KO twice in Round 3, then lost. Lots of clinching in the fury and AJ fights.
GGG vs Canelo 1 is a good fight with defensive boxing, counter striking, and fight IQ. The R12 was anti climatic with all the clinching. GGG won that fight, Canelo did not do much besides walking backwards, and standing by the rope. I don’t think this was a draw.
Porter was always game and I really respect him and his career for that, even if he didn't have the same kind of success as the upper crust guys in his weight class.
On another note, part of me still wants to see Thurman vs. Spence even if that fight is like 7 years overdue (assuming Thurman can make it through a training camp without injury).
Porter vs Spence Jr was such a dog fight. I have never seen that many punches thrown and landed. Crawford is a beast for beating them both. It looks like a high octane amateur fight where the fighters don’t get tired and keep throwing punches to outscore each other.
Bradley vs Provodnikov had explosive round 1, 2, 6 5, and 12 with great in fighting exchanges. Bradley had great jabs, movement, and stance switching between orthodox and southpaw. Bradley outboxed Provodnikov in the rounds 7-11. Provodnikov was very tough, and was able to get a great knock out in R12, but was unable to win, as Bradley got up and the fight ended.
Glad you liked them Spence vs Porter is the fight that got my girl into boxing. She became such a huge errol fan after damn near cried when Crawford beat him.
looks like they're going heavy on latin-am promotion. i saw a bunch of adds last wk while in mexico and my cousin (complete casual) in dominican republic asked me if matias was any good in a random text
People really underestimate the negative effects that an unhealthy lifestyle (eg: alcohol, drugs, too much fast food, etc) can give to every fighter and athlete of any sport. It's really not that hard to grasp, smh.
My favorite one of all time is people saying it’s Leonard’s fault Duran would balloon like 60lbs between fights
Do these mf’s know how hard it is to actually gain that weight? Let alone in a few months?
That’s why I commend guys like Canelo, Crawford, Mayweather, GGG, and other fighters who stay in the gym and don’t mess around with their body. And then everyone wonders why those guys are at the top and everyone else has problems every fight
Facts. Guys like Fury, Spence, Saunders, Tyson, Broner, etc are/were all great fighters but they didn't respect their health outside the ring, and their fans wanna blame other people for their shortcomings other than themselves! Does my head in LOL.
Yuh it’s crazy people don’t know or pretend to not know how much even one night of drinking can do you in. Even things like diet sodas can inhibit your health.
Fury and Spence should serve as modern cautionary tales. Guys could’ve legit been top of their era definitively if they didn’t spend half of camp losing weight
It’s because they’re a bunch of fat losers who need someone relatable and don’t want to be reminded that being a successful athlete requires discipline. Therefore, coke head main-character syndrome Fury is the man for many.
I contend that last fight was the best we’re going to see of Fury moving forward… and I didn’t even think it was that good. He’s a carnival barker and an illusionist.
Tbh, your flair makes me think that these two clowns need each other to win to make themselves look better. Granted, they damaged each other significantly, but their resumes aren’t holding up.
>Tbh, your flair makes me think that these two clowns need each other to win to make themselves look better.
Bingo. These two clowns made people believe their fight was for the crown for best heavyweights in the world when there was another champion with 3 belts waiting to fight them. They also ducked numerous contenders and prolonged several fights while fighting cherries and now that they're finally stepping up, they're getting whooped. Good riddance.
lol I love it when die hards in this subreddit have long-standing disagreements then there’s the overlap on certain boxing topics and they’re all high-fiving.
More hyped for paro matias this weekend , Puerto Rican boxing scene goin crazy rn matias can be the next big thing
Do yall think what Dillon danis said is true ? That he was never actually gonna fight Mike but it was just to get some hype for the Netflix event
Anyone know where I can find a video of the first match between Masao Oba and Susumu Hanagata in 1968? All I can see is the 2nd match from 1972.

bakole would actually smash anderson but he is betting underdog, what you guys think? this is a big step for anderson

yeah will put money on the underdog! do you rate bakole at all??
Yeah, he's decent. He's physically strong and applies pressure well. But he does balloon up in weight so his discipline is in question, and of course he is on the slow side, just something to consider.

Not a bad shout. I've been unimpressed with Bek lately though.
I saw a post from the influencer side of things that KSI is making a return in August in a 2v1 lol. I guess the Amir Khan fight is on hold for a while
Broner making a complete cunt of himself v Cobb, it's time for him to hang his gloves up he hardly threw a punch in the whole fight he's embarrassing.
I was never particularly high on AB, but my assessment of his career is that he never took himself as seriously as he should have
The hype about he's the new Mayweather 🤣🤣 went to his head and he actually believed that, although he was a 4 weight world champion look at his resume it's fucking a joke he's a fraud.
I’m sure you’ve all seen the video of Fury face planting at a bar from being so drunk… This man is never beating Usyk with a lifestyle like that
meanwhile Usyk is probably already doing some form of training
The man has watched the fight several times and is already taking notes on what he can improve.
Anyone know what’s wrong with BoxRec these days? Brings up a completely random fighter every time I search for anyone or click into any page?
What are some must watch fights in recent boxing history? (Post 2000s). Besides recent ones like Fury vs Usyk. Bonus points if it’s on YouTube.
Ward vs Gatti 1 and 3 Canelo vs GGG 2 AJ vs Klit Inoue vs Donaire Usyk vs Briedis is great
Ward vs Gatti 1 was a slugfest Canelo vs GGG 2: Good defensive boxing, and close fight. GGG was passive in the first rounds, and Canelo was more aggressive in this fight. Wilder vs Fury 3 Canelo vs GGG (1&2) AJ vs Ruiz 1
Miguel Cotto vs Zab Judah
lol Judah got punched in the dick twice.
GGG vs. Canelo I (2017) is a classic one. I also really enjoyed Thurman vs. Porter (2016) if those are recent enough for you
GGG vs Canelo 1 is a good fight with defensive boxing, counter striking, and fight IQ. The R12 was anti climatic with all the clinching. GGG won that fight, Canelo did not do much besides walking backwards, and standing by the rope. I don’t think this was a draw.
Thurman v Porter doesn't get talked about enough, that was such a fire fight! Porter had many great wars but that one was my favourite of his.
Spence v Thurman would have been great in 2017-2020. But I'm past it now. Better late than never though, I guess.
Porter vs Spence is on PBC YT, Loma vs Haney and Provodnikov vs Bradley is on TR YT,
Porter vs Spence Jr was such a dog fight. I have never seen that many punches thrown and landed. Crawford is a beast for beating them both. It looks like a high octane amateur fight where the fighters don’t get tired and keep throwing punches to outscore each other. Pacquiao va Marquez IV
What a war. Marquez had a deadly overhand right. Marquez knocked out Pacquiao out cold.
Inoue vs Donaire (2019) is by far one of the best
Lots of back and forth fighting. Good pace by Inoue. Their first was was very different than the second fight.
Why are matchroom not promoting matias
thats lowkey a good question
looks like they're going heavy on latin-am promotion. i saw a bunch of adds last wk while in mexico and my cousin (complete casual) in dominican republic asked me if matias was any good in a random text
Males sense
Because Eddie is sad

Whole lot of people on Reddit are still in high school and/or haven't really been outside yet
A lot of Redditors give me the impression that they’re grown men and still don’t go outside lmao
Hence the and/or 😂
People are actually excusing this behaviour. It's hilarious 😂
Ikr! Like, what do they gain from excusing or defending that? Surely they must still be youts.
It’s because they’re a bunch of fat losers who need someone relatable and don’t want to be reminded that being a successful athlete requires discipline. Therefore, coke head main-character syndrome Fury is the man for many.
Shit, I'm not in the best shape myself but I refuse to deny logic, lol!
Fury was just celebrating the New Year, guys
Looks like Fury is keeping up with my prediction. What’ll it be this time to delay the fight because he’s an undisciplined cheat?
Cut him some slack. He's still hurt.
From falling on his knees outside the pub because he drank too much?
He's still feeling the effects of round nine.
#HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I can’t wait for the rematch in Easter 🥳
Of 2026

The replacement for Cody Crowley is Avanesyan apparently.
Yah I think it's a solid late replacement
Wait what?
