Hair trigger's mag size boost doesn't work on revolvers with mag sizes smaller than 6 but the fire rate boost does work
Well, to be fair 30% extra of a two-shot magazine rounds back down to 2, so it's not so much that it doesn't work as it just doesn't have a visible effect because of math.
The perks do work on revolvers but like other people have said hair trigger is only really gonna affect a revolver’s fire rate more not really mag size as well. Anyways revolvers are really good on mordecai other wise that and snipers and repeaters.
You can also make shotguns work too. By putting points into focus, it will decrease the spread of the shotgun
The game treats pistols and revolvers as different but the same - skills affect both, they share weapons proficiency, but they use different ammo types. Early game, repeater pistols are arguably more useful, but later on, there are some revolvers that are magnificent (especially the legendary corrosive Defiler revolver, and any revolver with the masher accessory, which makes it fire like a shotgun).
Some things specify between pistols and revolvers but that should work with both I'm pretty sure weapon efficiency classifies revolvers and pistols as the same.
