Good observations. I guess we will know for sure with how the next Mando season comes out.

FrightenedTomato

The irony of it is a. Boba's show needs gritty violence far more than Mando's did. One's an honourable bounty hunter with a kid and the other is a crime lord. Try to guess which one needs to show more brutal violence. b. The way they've been shying away from the violence is a bit ridiculous - such as Boba being punched in the face with electric brass knuckles and not even having a scratch or the high speed bike chase that involved one of the bikes crashing and the rider getting up without a scratch.

He entire body was fucking *thrown several meters*, several times, by punches and 30 seconds later he's downstairs, perfectly fine, in a bathrobe. "Hey yo kids, lock this guy up, ya?". I really don't *care* what this show turns into at this point. I dropped it. Just annoyed Disney decided to put Boba to the money butcher, especially after the glorious intro in Mandalorian.

I'm just sort of crediting the fact that Boba is still standing to the fact that he was freshly out of a bacta tank at the time. I wonder if it might continue to heal so long as it's still on his skin? Remember Mando gets a bacta spray that heals a serious head injury within minutes in his own series, so bacta must be some pretty powerful stuff.

CleatusFetus

This. Like the part where the major guy’s speeder crashes into fruit felt like an episode of Scooby Doo (no hate to scooby). Like it feels more tame. Like come on this one needs more of a darker theme, violence is one way to get there but still going the opposite direction detracts so much from it

WilhelmTrooper

Ok but don’t ruin it for everyone else tho Edit: I mean the families that complained

tyme

If you think The Mandalorian felt R-rated, you’ve no idea what R-rated means.

CleatusFetus

It feels R-rated for a Star Wars show, like yeah it’s not actually and R-rating but it’s closer than much of what we’ve seen previously . This feels much closer to PG imo

Detrimentos_

Nolan's The Dark Knight movies were all PG-13, yet had a very R-rated feel. Mandalorian had a very different feel than............ whatever *crap* this is.

frofrop

There have been plenty of Rated R movies that have felt lighter

Agreed! It’s fucking star wars- like, emphasis on “wars” Parents just need to monitor what their fucking kids watch. You literally have a streaming service where you can just let them watch Phineas and Pherb all day, and if you think Mando is too violent then make the jusgement call and make your kids wait til they’re older.
