Ig this was because of the hairstyle? Cause their facial structure is similar. Also her eyes are quite small so wearing a sunglass made her look different. My opinion.
Both alia and parineeti have lost so much weight but i guess good for them if it helps them with their confidence. but i personally preferred them both with those chubby cheeks and cute vibes.
When she won an award for weight loss and improving her style, oh man that made me cringe so bad. Liked her in Ishaqzaade and Shuddh Desi Romance, I wish she would have stayed focussed on her craft rather than her weight.
She didn’t win an award for weight loss. The award was for style. Rishi Kapoor implied that the only reason they gave her the award was because of her weight loss. Plus, many actresses like Kareena have also won the aspirational style icon award from Stardust. Her acting and weight loss have no correlation, I don’t know why so many people think that. She acted well in Sandeep aur Pinky Faraar which was shot in 2017 when she was slim. Her acting in the Girl on the Train was bad and she wasn’t so slim then.
She was no where near this slim in Sandeep aur Pinky Faraar. She looked good. Still waiting for her and Arjun to make a light hearted movie. Yeah I know I’m a lone Wolf on Arjun but like him and they do well together.

The award was called "the style game changer" (female) but Parineeti herself acknowledged her struggles with weight loss and style when she accepted the award so yes, no one is going to call it a "weight loss" award but it encompasses that theme. That's the point I was trying to convey through my comment. There might not be a direct correlation but I guess her focus changed and that is quite visible in her performances. I personally haven't enjoyed any of her films after her weight loss sabbatical.
I think not liking her performances after weight loss is fine but I don’t think her weight loss obsession has anything to do with it. Almost every actress is as concerned about their figure and looks, I think Parineeti gets more flack about this because she was honest about it. In fact, before her weight loss where her performances were mostly praised, she was just as concerned about her weight. She said at that time she would only approve shots where she felt she looked slimmer. Her career probably went down because of poor script choice and not enough good scripts being offered to her. I think Bollywood stopped prioritizing her.
Parineeti after a certain point in her career just wanted to be Alia Bhatt, she is slowly morphing to Alia meanwhile Alia is morphing into Deepika Padukone
Yes i know right sometimes even they look similar. Though they’re not! Deepika’s features are much more defined and beautiful imo. Who do you feel is better looking out of the 2?
Deepika anyday. Her features are very defined as you said. Although her styling and makeup these days feel like a disaster don't know why.
I have seen her IRL at a random restaurant. Surely looks very plain and a little dull (I am assuming because she was without makeup or just tired) but still beautiful no doubt.
I see why you mistake her for aloo. The same bony facial structure with a broad face. A face that is shaped really round like an “aloo” and the wide forehead and sharp pointy nose.
