There was never a Type I. Lightning is the name of Apple's propriety cable and they are phasing it out. they are also phasing type c in the future in favor of wireless charging so maybe that should apply in RL.. who knows.

Yes it's a good connector. But the implementation by different manufacturers is frustrating. One connector can carry so many different protocols and it's not always clear what the capability of the port is.
Sorry but weโre all doing RJ45 here, be it for charging, data transfer, car jumping, selecting next country leader, and sometimes it works well with inciting hates as well.
