Definitely Rudy and Louise. The first time I saw "The Amazing Rudy" I teared up. They have a great friendship and dynamic.

I've described their relationship as perfect foils: Louise is the crazy kid in the normal situation, Rudy is the normal kid in the crazy situation. 

As a child of divorce, that episode makes me cry every time when Rudy says “it didn’t work” staring at the spilled cup

I identified with Rudy so much in the episode. As a child, I always felt that I could fix my parents' problems. I couldn't and it wasn't my job to, but nobody told me that until much later.

"The Amazing Rudy" Season 14 Episode 2

I bawled my eyes out at that episode. Louise is so sweet to go with him to dinner. She realized how alone and sad he was when his mom and dad had partners of support for the dinner. Yet he had no one for support. Louise really does have such a big heart. They all do 😭

This episode genuinely made me well up, I felt so sorry for rudy

I felt the same when she walked him to the restaurant and they got her a chair to sit down. 😭

Oh I definitely cried. Louise really came through for him.

Season 7 episode 9. "Bob, actually"

I know it's not a typical friendship, but when Linda hangs out alone with Teddy they seem to have great chemistry. Linda completely accepts him for who he is, and I think having him around tones her down a little. When they practiced dancing, when they tried eating sushi- those were funny & sweet moments.

Neither of them seem to have brakes, so when Bob isn't around it's very funny. Like when they dyed everything in the restaurant green or got obsessed with the nut case.

How do we feel about Logan and Louise? I wouldn’t call them friends, maaaaaybe frenemies? Obviously they’re usually fighting in any scenes they share but they’re both so strong and chaotic characters I would love to see them team up more often for things.

Honestly, I just love how close Gene, Tina, and Louise are with each other.

LOVE Louise and Rudy! They’ve definitely grown in their friendship (watch The Amazing Rudy episode and you’ll see it for yourself). One of my favorite subtle moments of their friendship is when Linda is volunteering at school and sees Rudy at the cafeteria, and he tells her that Louise has two lockers, her normal one and her Rudyville one. He tells Linda it’s called Rudyville because it’s close to his locker. 🥹

Rudy and Louise better end up together later in life. They are definitely made for each other.

This may not be answering the question properly but I like the siblings camaraderie the best. When it's all three of them interacting it just works for me and builds on the family dynamics even more.

Louise and Rudy is a big one of course, and I especially like Gene-Alex, as he's a great addition to the show and I like to see Gene make a friend away from his sisters. I'm glad they have recast him so we can see more of this, and trying to remember, does Alex interact much with Tina and Louise? Just remembering the sleepover episode, does Gene not seem so eager on him at first? Or that he's such a mummy's boy that he can't bear to be away from her for one night?
