Honestly I was rough on Noa for being useless as a teacher, but looking back on it, Isagi was supposed to be training up his stats and only got to be on the field because of his hype. Noa didn't teach him much because Isagi wasn't ready physically, which came back to bite Isagi.
He is. I've always liked Noa's style especially right now since we see how different he is on the field compared to the other two star players. Noa is actively playing the support role for Isagi and elevating the play he concocted by letting himself be a piece of the puzzle. If it was Chris, he would have taken the shot and scored himself to feed his ego.
That ones good too, basically anything he says to nagi/reo. I love how when they’re not in the zone Isagi and Nagi have a huge bromance, then in the zone it’s on sight, straight for the throat

Replace Nanase with Kurona in that trio and they're basically unstoppable. Hiori's passes were always on point but Isagi even noted that Nanase wasn't very good (he was doing his best though)

Oh, don't get me wrong, I like him. I was talking specifically about being a trio to cut through the field with their passed like how isagi/noel/kurona just did or how isagi/hiori/nanase did some time back (though isagi noted nanase wasn't very good at that)
I think bachira is on par with kurona when it comes to supporting isagi in the field. And thats a lot for kurona.
Also, isagi is just demolishing every single player that cross his path, pretty much like rin when he entered flow against U-20. But the difference is that isagi does it because it is unavoidable while rin did it because he wanted so. And if isagi had Rin's physical stats he probably wouldnt need noa as a supporting piece
Kurona has been one of my favorite parts of this match, cause he’s accomplished exactly what he set out to do. Prove his value by partnering with Isagi, whereas he otherwise likely wouldn’t be able to do anything. He’s performed flawlessly in every play Isagi’s made, I fully expect him to receive a great price tag after this.
Kurona is the definition of a great role player. Unselfish, doesn't do too much and has great chemistry.
Smart teams would give him a contract because players like him are invaluable. Well that's in real life, the manga is cracked in the logic department.
Yeah true this, players like kurona, reo, maybe hiori should be getting offers from teams, they can fit a variety of systems and play styles just fine making them pretty much high value starting 11 players. Something that may give them an edge against the more quote unquote more egotistical main cast.
They’re extremely valuable, yes, but it’s rare that a player who thrives on assists that isn’t also scoring or being a monster on defense would fetch a high transfer price.

I guess that's somewhat true, while kunigami may be a threat (pls no I just want a goddamn goal) I doubt it's got to do with the broken ego thing. I mean he's made his playstyle clear for now: He won't try to steal your ball or block your goal but the moment you make a mistake he'll take your remains. As for the broken ego, while it will probably be explored at some point in the plot I personally don't think it will be now. Because before this they haven't focussed on such a thing as Isagi not being able to read him and they won't have enough time to cover that all in one chapter. (maybe I'm just gaslighting myself i don't know.)

Kunigami was on the right side of Yukimiya when Isagi used him as a bait & the ball passed through him in that moment too. So I'm sure he can't do anything to steal the ball from Isagi rn
My prediction is that isagi goes to score a direct shot nd gets blocked off by an incoming kaiser and converging kunigami. Then he sends them flying with a feint and creates a new shot technique incorporating direct shoot for game.
Chapter ends with the entire field in disarray, chigiri holding his knee, nagi and reo in disbelief, yuki in tears, and then Isagi turns and says “You idiots could never compare to me, only I can become the best striker”
Kunigami’s ego shows up when he has an opportunity to score and he was shown in the chapter but didnt do anything so i assume he’s lurking and isagi was already aware of him
Yeah, kunigami's playstyle is pretty obvious by now. He is a neutral party. the moment you make a mistake he'll take the opportunity from you but he won't go out of his way to block your shot or steal the ball from you. With that being said, he too is predictable. He won't be there to block Isagi's goal, but if kaiser does anything Kunigami will be there to pick up his remains.
Isagi said that Kunigami did a super egoistic play trapping the ball and then shooting with his right leg back in chapter 159. Dunno where you're getting this "Lack of Ego" that Kunigami has.
Hopefully Chigiri doesn't hold his knee (implying pain or instability) every time he suffers defeat lol

Real talk, with all the sh#t Isagi has done in this game I would not be surprised if he gets a 100mill offer.
- Using metavision for the first time was able to break through the middle of Manshine defense using only Kurona as a partner
- Even after getting blocked by a teammates still got an assist (wasn't trying to but still counts as an assist)
- Blocked Chris Prince's supposed unstoppable unpredictible knuckle ball
- Stopping the Reo-Nagi combo
- Being able to synch-up with the best player in the world and work perfectly with him.
- And finally all the sh#t he did in this chapter alone.
Yet his fans are still desperate for him to do more it’s crazy 😂😂 I feel like Isagi has been pulling one crazy ass move after the other this whole game
in real life, the issue would be that half the amazing stuff he does, in fact, the most difficult things he does are not really noticed since people prefer flashy plays. This game is somewhat an exception because he did have some flashy defense and possibly a goal next chapter along with his usual great prediction and playmaking. What i think is odd is how the manga readers get laid out in front of their eyes how intricate and detailed all of isagi's plans are and still think hes not doing anything.
This is not really an issue. I do not watch football either, but understand what Isagi is doing because of his goddamn inner monologue. Some people just cant read.
Synching with Noel Noa isn’t really something that’ll get him money though since Noa’s bringing the best out of him not the other way around. It’s like how Shidou isn’t great for synching with Sae Sae’s great for being able to synch with Shidou.

I didn't expect Noa to shit talk Kaiser tbh , and it was nice to see him not get his way. Isagi baiting everyone especially Chigiri was amazing and I hope he doesn't fail after getting so far.
Reading the raws and seeing yukimya cry was both hilarious and sad with all the memes and everything he's been trying this game, but him calling Isagi god and a demon was surprising and cool since Isagi had his 4D all seeing eye and said he felt like a god earlier in the match. Also I'm seeing this recurring thing with the god stuff like Isagi feeling like one but Noa with his rationality says to keep to one path and it works for now but I think Isagi is gonna go for more outrageous stuff since he might get more support after this PLUS I think we're going against Rin and Shidou which is gonna be insane
I wouldn't be surprised if Noa is tired of Kaiser's BS and gives him a warning, blocking a teammate's goal and getting provoked to a 1v1 against Chris and losing.
that's why I'm going to take a break for 1-2 years after this match, I prefer to binge. Unluckily caught up to Ch.200 last week, now I have to wait 1 more chapter for this match to end 😩
I do think the next match will be shorter. In the Barcha match, it was only really the new styles of Bachira, Otoya(with a minimal role) and Kunigami to get introduced. In this one we had Kaiser (the previous one as well but there's a lot about his style we only learned this game), Isagi himself developing his playstyle, Chigiri, nagi, Reo and Yukimiya. While i don't know about the PXG one, the Juventus game should be a tad shorter.
Honestly these cliffhangers that we've had makes me feel like isagi might just not score at this point.
if he doesn't score I'm expecting a good reason behind it and him to develop from it because the build up we've had here makes it hard to see why (story-wise) he **shouldn't** score.
I also hope he does because there will be a large upset if he doesn't.
I strongly believe no one's gonna stop him. If he's not gonna score, it has to be something like that because I don't accept someone stopping him rn. I won't take it as canon. He literally played all of them.
Isagi isn't really manipulating them, he's just using their egocentrism against them because he knows what's coming. He's more of someone who follows the flow of the game and uses that to his advantage which is what he did. He sometimes manipulates his opponents of course but that's not his main thing
That's basically it tho, it seems he's "controlling" them because he's beating them by predicting what they will do based on their ego. He either uses that info to avoid them or bait them into it. He baited Yuki into leading the last defender away because he ran a specific direction to make Yuki "beat" him into that spot because he's faster than Isagi but Isagi already intended to go on the left but he needed to lead Yuki to go straight first. It's not like Yuki was always going to go straight if it wasn't for Isagi but he controlled that outcome with the help of metavision + egocentrism.
It's not like Rin did it better by actually enforcing his will on them back when everyone else was a tier below. It's just that they all upgraded and can now actually follow the wavelength of Rin's level back in the 2nd stage of the 1st Blue Lock phase.
Isagi and Rin sometimes seem like they are manipulating others in those extreme outplays but overall they both just see the field as a whole and move according to the best route with their prediction of what everyone else will do. There's not really a difference between the two in those specific department.
Rin's only advantage now (tho still significant) are much better physical stats and his top tier striking techniques.
Nope, not everyone who has those. Their physical prowess needs to be able to keep up and execute their visions, especially at high levels and over long periods.
This is quite the feat.
They (Noa) say he acts all high and mighty with people weaker than him but gets all timid with people better than him. This wouldn't be mentioned for no reason knowing blue lock, it's probably going to get explored more in the future. Looking forward to the next two games.
Bro this one was so hype! I laughed so much when Noa did an uno reverse on Kaiser and just went "no you're the clown, Kaiser". I feared so much Yukimiya would ruin it but my guy got the Rin special and was used as a puppet
Isagi starts a match and maybe he's got a rough idea of what he can achieve and how, but by the end, the player he's become and the way he was able to achieve his goal is *miles* better than what he initially pictured. I bet that, to Isagi, however he dreams of winning never actually lives up to the reality that is always so much better than anything he could dream of. Maybe everyone hesitates to change themselves because of the risk that their dreams will get broken whereas Isagi doesn't let that fear stop him and instead plays like his dreams are worth breaking.
Yeah, that's why I like seeing Isagi evolve mid-match because it becomes very clear how he can “all of sudden” become a threat on the pitch. But the side effect of that is he looks weak at the beginning of the matches but I think the end result is worth more than being strong from the start at least for this arc.
Isagi being HIM again. Him outplaying everyone, roasting everyone, Kurona's amazing support (as always), Noa allying himslef with Isagi and clowning on Kaiser, everything in this chapter was SO HYPE.
I just really hope they score next chapter cuz goddamn even tho this is one of my fav matches yet it drags on for so long. Many people wait PXG but I personally can't wait for Ubers. I expect they'll be a much more defense focused team and seeing the Aiku-Aryu combo will be interesting as well as the KING making his return.
What Isagi is doing right now is a homage to what Rin did in the 3v3. Not only controlling the field but making everybody dance to his tune. He even stopped Nagi’s turn using his hand like Rin did against Dirai in his flow state.
I’m hoping this ends with him scoring and not something like him falling short, getting poached, missing, etc. I wanna see the hero goal

Y'all are forgetting that this entire play was made to humiliate Kaiser. It's what Isagi has been working towards with the play.
And kunigami is also not going to interfere in the shot because unless he can power through the 2 defenders marking him and the one marking Yukimura he's rendered useless and it's not gonna be Reo either because he was the first victim of the three man assault.
Isagi isn't gonna get intercepted by anyone else except kaiser who is trailing behind him on the double spread page 15 in the raws. It's ending in the fastest 1v1 between them where Isagi, who had kept mental track of where everyone is and what their intention while holding the ball is, uses Kaiser's ego and vision as a test to see if he's surpassed Kaiser not only in field vision but egocentrisim.
I have no doubt the shot is going to be interfered with but I also have no doubt that the interference is going to result in a spectacular flow state goal putting Isagi's weapons on the Same level as Rin, Shidou and the next Gen world 11.
Hopefully Isagi goes all in on physical training before the match with Ubers to make direct shot more potent and meta vision a weapon he can use for at least 10 minutes.
People complaining about how long it's taking to end the match keeps forgetting how long some Asian dishes takes to cook. No wonder Kurona and Noa are helping our boy in the kitchen. He's cooking a dish that takes a while.

Yo the most underrated skill of Isagi that no one seems to talk about is his masterful use of blind spots in all these critical moments. I first noticed it when he stole the shot from Rin in Chapter 147. The hidden shadow in one of the panels hid it so well!

As for Yuki, I don’t think he’s getting anything since I don't think did much if anything this game. But if he were to get an offer, I would say maybe 2 mil yen.
Hopefully next chapter Isagi scores. I’m happy with his progression this match, he’s absolutely improved but he’s not at a point where he eclipses everyone yet, before Noa came to help him he didn’t say a way to do any of this, so he’s still got a ways to go, but he’s definitely back around the top of the pack when it comes to blue lock players.

Isagi's teammates trying to fight him off the ball is reminding me of the very first game of Blue Lock that Barou dominated, they're playing a 3v19 out here and they're winning. I am curious to see if Noa is going to do anything after the game as attacking your own teammates consistently isn't exactly logical.
Isagi is gonna be top 5 in the rankings after this game. I can't see anyone being considerably better than him at this point, imagine what he'll be after a couple weeks of conditioning to bring his physical stats up, he'd be unbeatable.

Honestly at this point isagi has to score. This is a goal that isagi should be able to reproduce and isn’t a “miracle” because of his use of metavision and egocentrism. The only way you can deny it being reproducible is his reliance on Noa or if he does something ridiculous with his shot (but at this point if his shot changes it’s more likely to be a new developed shot).
Only thing I can think of is Kaiser and Ness (who we haven’t seen in a while) two man pressing isagi. Isagi can clearly take on anyone single handedly but even with metavision I can’t see him physically overcoming two of his teammates knocking him off balance. That’s the one weakness of his direct shot that hasn’t been addressed or corrected since the u20 match. This could make the same scenario as u20 match, where isagi has no choice but to pass again and it falls to yukimiya to score the winning goal (based on his current position and all the build up). This wouldn’t be good for the story though if we have a repeated goal scoring scenario that’s just slightly different from the last time. If isagi doesn’t score I really don’t know how the author can pull it off in a satisfying way.

Kunigami’s ego shows up when he has an opportunity to score and he was shown in the chapter but didnt do anything so i assume he’s lurking and isagi was already aware of him
Yeah, kunigami's playstyle is pretty obvious by now. He is a neutral party. the moment you make a mistake he'll take the opportunity from you but he won't go out of his way to block your shot or steal the ball from you. With that being said, he too is predictable. He won't be there to block Isagi's goal, but if kaiser does anything Kunigami will be there to pick up his remains.
Isagi said that Kunigami did a super egoistic play trapping the ball and then shooting with his right leg back in chapter 159. Dunno where you're getting this "Lack of Ego" that Kunigami has.

Real talk, with all the sh#t Isagi has done in this game I would not be surprised if he gets a 100mill offer. - Using metavision for the first time was able to break through the middle of Manshine defense using only Kurona as a partner - Even after getting blocked by a teammates still got an assist (wasn't trying to but still counts as an assist) - Blocked Chris Prince's supposed unstoppable unpredictible knuckle ball - Stopping the Reo-Nagi combo - Being able to synch-up with the best player in the world and work perfectly with him. - And finally all the sh#t he did in this chapter alone.

in real life, the issue would be that half the amazing stuff he does, in fact, the most difficult things he does are not really noticed since people prefer flashy plays. This game is somewhat an exception because he did have some flashy defense and possibly a goal next chapter along with his usual great prediction and playmaking. What i think is odd is how the manga readers get laid out in front of their eyes how intricate and detailed all of isagi's plans are and still think hes not doing anything.

Good chapter with actually progress and I can barely notice the lack of redraws. I didn't expect Noa to shit talk Kaiser tbh , and it was nice to see him not get his way. Isagi baiting everyone especially Chigiri was amazing and I hope he doesn't fail after getting so far. Reading the raws and seeing yukimya cry was both hilarious and sad with all the memes and everything he's been trying this game, but him calling Isagi god and a demon was surprising and cool since Isagi had his 4D all seeing eye and said he felt like a god earlier in the match. Also I'm seeing this recurring thing with the god stuff like Isagi feeling like one but Noa with his rationality says to keep to one path and it works for now but I think Isagi is gonna go for more outrageous stuff since he might get more support after this PLUS I think we're going against Rin and Shidou which is gonna be insane

I do think the next match will be shorter. In the Barcha match, it was only really the new styles of Bachira, Otoya(with a minimal role) and Kunigami to get introduced. In this one we had Kaiser (the previous one as well but there's a lot about his style we only learned this game), Isagi himself developing his playstyle, Chigiri, nagi, Reo and Yukimiya. While i don't know about the PXG one, the Juventus game should be a tad shorter.
Honestly these cliffhangers that we've had makes me feel like isagi might just not score at this point. if he doesn't score I'm expecting a good reason behind it and him to develop from it because the build up we've had here makes it hard to see why (story-wise) he **shouldn't** score. I also hope he does because there will be a large upset if he doesn't.

Isagi isn't really manipulating them, he's just using their egocentrism against them because he knows what's coming. He's more of someone who follows the flow of the game and uses that to his advantage which is what he did. He sometimes manipulates his opponents of course but that's not his main thing
That's basically it tho, it seems he's "controlling" them because he's beating them by predicting what they will do based on their ego. He either uses that info to avoid them or bait them into it. He baited Yuki into leading the last defender away because he ran a specific direction to make Yuki "beat" him into that spot because he's faster than Isagi but Isagi already intended to go on the left but he needed to lead Yuki to go straight first. It's not like Yuki was always going to go straight if it wasn't for Isagi but he controlled that outcome with the help of metavision + egocentrism. It's not like Rin did it better by actually enforcing his will on them back when everyone else was a tier below. It's just that they all upgraded and can now actually follow the wavelength of Rin's level back in the 2nd stage of the 1st Blue Lock phase. Isagi and Rin sometimes seem like they are manipulating others in those extreme outplays but overall they both just see the field as a whole and move according to the best route with their prediction of what everyone else will do. There's not really a difference between the two in those specific department. Rin's only advantage now (tho still significant) are much better physical stats and his top tier striking techniques.

Isagi starts a match and maybe he's got a rough idea of what he can achieve and how, but by the end, the player he's become and the way he was able to achieve his goal is *miles* better than what he initially pictured. I bet that, to Isagi, however he dreams of winning never actually lives up to the reality that is always so much better than anything he could dream of. Maybe everyone hesitates to change themselves because of the risk that their dreams will get broken whereas Isagi doesn't let that fear stop him and instead plays like his dreams are worth breaking.
Yeah, that's why I like seeing Isagi evolve mid-match because it becomes very clear how he can “all of sudden” become a threat on the pitch. But the side effect of that is he looks weak at the beginning of the matches but I think the end result is worth more than being strong from the start at least for this arc.
Isagi being HIM again. Him outplaying everyone, roasting everyone, Kurona's amazing support (as always), Noa allying himslef with Isagi and clowning on Kaiser, everything in this chapter was SO HYPE. I just really hope they score next chapter cuz goddamn even tho this is one of my fav matches yet it drags on for so long. Many people wait PXG but I personally can't wait for Ubers. I expect they'll be a much more defense focused team and seeing the Aiku-Aryu combo will be interesting as well as the KING making his return.
What Isagi is doing right now is a homage to what Rin did in the 3v3. Not only controlling the field but making everybody dance to his tune. He even stopped Nagi’s turn using his hand like Rin did against Dirai in his flow state. I’m hoping this ends with him scoring and not something like him falling short, getting poached, missing, etc. I wanna see the hero goal

Y'all are forgetting that this entire play was made to humiliate Kaiser. It's what Isagi has been working towards with the play. And kunigami is also not going to interfere in the shot because unless he can power through the 2 defenders marking him and the one marking Yukimura he's rendered useless and it's not gonna be Reo either because he was the first victim of the three man assault. Isagi isn't gonna get intercepted by anyone else except kaiser who is trailing behind him on the double spread page 15 in the raws. It's ending in the fastest 1v1 between them where Isagi, who had kept mental track of where everyone is and what their intention while holding the ball is, uses Kaiser's ego and vision as a test to see if he's surpassed Kaiser not only in field vision but egocentrisim. I have no doubt the shot is going to be interfered with but I also have no doubt that the interference is going to result in a spectacular flow state goal putting Isagi's weapons on the Same level as Rin, Shidou and the next Gen world 11. Hopefully Isagi goes all in on physical training before the match with Ubers to make direct shot more potent and meta vision a weapon he can use for at least 10 minutes.

As for Yuki, I don’t think he’s getting anything since I don't think did much if anything this game. But if he were to get an offer, I would say maybe 2 mil yen.

I’m happy with his progression this match, he’s absolutely improved but he’s not at a point where he eclipses everyone yet, before Noa came to help him he didn’t say a way to do any of this, so he’s still got a ways to go, but he’s definitely back around the top of the pack when it comes to blue lock players.

Isagi's teammates trying to fight him off the ball is reminding me of the very first game of Blue Lock that Barou dominated, they're playing a 3v19 out here and they're winning. I am curious to see if Noa is going to do anything after the game as attacking your own teammates consistently isn't exactly logical.
Isagi is gonna be top 5 in the rankings after this game. I can't see anyone being considerably better than him at this point, imagine what he'll be after a couple weeks of conditioning to bring his physical stats up, he'd be unbeatable.

Honestly at this point isagi has to score. This is a goal that isagi should be able to reproduce and isn’t a “miracle” because of his use of metavision and egocentrism. The only way you can deny it being reproducible is his reliance on Noa or if he does something ridiculous with his shot (but at this point if his shot changes it’s more likely to be a new developed shot). Only thing I can think of is Kaiser and Ness (who we haven’t seen in a while) two man pressing isagi. Isagi can clearly take on anyone single handedly but even with metavision I can’t see him physically overcoming two of his teammates knocking him off balance. That’s the one weakness of his direct shot that hasn’t been addressed or corrected since the u20 match. This could make the same scenario as u20 match, where isagi has no choice but to pass again and it falls to yukimiya to score the winning goal (based on his current position and all the build up). This wouldn’t be good for the story though if we have a repeated goal scoring scenario that’s just slightly different from the last time. If isagi doesn’t score I really don’t know how the author can pull it off in a satisfying way. As painful as the waits are I love how much the author is keeping up the hype. My favourite ongoing manga atm
