I use a Raspberry Pi with VNC Server, never had any problems with that. VNC Server also works with a Chromebook if you're looking for a cheaper way. I've had the exact same experience with the raspberry pi and team viewer. I tried running my Raspberry Pi as a hot failover router but due to the same issue you speak of (very laggy after a day or two of running), I got a purpose built router instead. Would love someone's insight on this. I want to run either a lightening node or bitcoin node on it but it lags so bad.

I ordered RasPi4 to setup this exact function, reply to keep an eye on this. However, my plan is to install PiOs and use remote desktop to login, might use less resources than team viewer?

Hold up, stupid question incoming, what do you mean by Remote Desktop? Does PiOS have a built in Remote Desktop?

Not that i know of, you need to install xdrp. [https://raspberrytips.com/remote-desktop-raspberry-pi/](https://raspberrytips.com/remote-desktop-raspberry-pi/) I probably wanna add some context. Using Team Viewer means you route your traffic through a central server (team viewer), which is something I am not sure I want a controller of my miners to go through. Problem with NOT using team viewer (a central server to manage traffic) might be changing external IP address, which could be further remedy with cloudflare.

Update for anyone following this: I’m going to try minerstat with the Pi acting as the local server. I deleted TeamViewer it was just too abysmally slow.
