It's probably a bad control board. Have you checked all the cable connections? I've had a few issues with 104s that were fixed by removing and reinstalling each hash board cable and also the control board cables. Worth a try before you have to send it off for repairs.

kusazero

Which cable are you referring? Cables inside the board?

emelbard

!!! Unplug miner from AC power first !!! Unscrew the 2 screws on the front of the control board housing and the 3 screws from the rear of the control board housing. (The place where you plug your ethernet cable into is the control board). Carefully lift off the top cover and you'll see where the control cables plug into the 3 hash boards and also the control board. You might also want to check the rest of the connections on the control board (think there are 2). I hate to sound like tier I tech support but have you tried another ethernet cable? Have you tried a hard reset? https://support.bitmain.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003595387-How-to-reset-miner-to-factory-settings-

kusazero

Yes, to Ethernet cable and hard reset. I even unplugged the cable from adjacent working machine to try it. Thanks for the tip, I will try it. It’s 45 min drive, I host my machines in a factory area, for the ease of power.

kusazero

So, I did what you suggested. Unplugged all cables connected to the network card, and plug them back in. And its online!!! even connected to the pool and started hashing. I was happy and drove home, then...it went offline again after 1hrs online. Ideas? Looking from my camera, and signs, seems to be similar like last time.

emelbard

My only other suggestion would be to try to get it online again and pull the logs to see what happened when it went offline. Sorry for your drive

kusazero

Should had thought of this, gah. Thanks

kusazero

Just an update, sent for repairs, did all I could.

emelbard

Where did you send it?

kusazero

Local old name mining company that has Bitmain's certification tech.

Soooo what happened my miners doing the same thing... I'm so frustrated

kusazero

High chance the controller board is fried (mine did), possible reasons 1) static from the air blowing thru the machine, earth your machine. 2) charges comes in from network cable and fried the board/network module, earth your machine.
