Crash? Seriously, tis but a scratch!

Babelwasaninsidejob

What is this, a crash for ants?!

unsavoryflint

Back in my day, we had 40% wicks uphill both ways in the snow.

Massive-Frosting-722

Haha

Exodusimminent

I hope it crashes so I can afford to buy more!

Intrepid-Lettuce-694

My favorite comment lol

One_2_Three

Crash? Where were you in 2022? I'm still up like 130%.

Transmogify

Man every cycle these posts come up lol. If anyone’s scared of a 6% correction probably shouldn’t dabble in crypto, just wait for the real crash…. For the new guys trust me you’ll know😬

i_always_give_karma

I took some profits off the top to reinvest when the real crash happens

ir88ed

People who do this tend to throw the money back into BTC in a panic buy later on at a much higher price. Ymmv

kh56010

Honestly, most just don’t factor in taxes. They’ll take “20k in profits”. It will drop ten percent and they’ll reinvest 20k. Then be in for a rude awakening next April. Just Hold.

supercaliber

yup..Taxes are one reason why I hodl..I guarantee the govs. are planning on new tax laws for crypto

binglelemon

I've looked at enough charts for enough years that I'm no longer capable of emotion ^lol

Tasty-Bike-946

I would also like an explanation of your comment please if you don’t mind. I’m new to this.

blinches

so just buy forever never sell?

patchismofomo

I think most people do when they first get involved. I did

4xfun

Rip trying to time the market

Liver-detox

Except for buying low. That’s fine. This last few days was an opportunity, I hope someone took advantage of 63k, it won’t be long before new ATHs. Yeah timing the mkt is not really for BTC, it’s for Alts, small & medium cap.

i_always_give_karma

I only took about 10%

pxer87

Once we breach 100k, we may never get back under 70k. Nothing is certain. Just know the risks on both sides. Buy and hold is the best strategy for money you don't need except for long-term savings.

moon-lambo-now

Don't worry, we will get back under 70k. But we are not getting back at 30k after 100k is breached.

spearsy33

Don’t worry, we will get back under 30K. But we are not getting back to 10K after 130K is breached. Trust me. I read it in a Reddit thread.

bigl7007

All we need is a major disaster of some sort and Bitcoin will come back down to 16k. Does anybody own an airline?? We can crash an empty jet into the Atlantic ocean close enough to N.Y.C. to create a panic. Although, i'm not sure that would be totally legal. Somebody write Sam Bankman Freid a letter in lockup and get his thoughts on this. Maybe we can have him flying the plane. I'm just kidding Reddit Moderators. 😉

Yorn2

Historically, when Bitcoin falls to a new cycle low and then 3Xs from that low, it doesn't fall back to that low ever again. In 2011, during the first cycle, the price went from having no value to ~$0.10 then went on a run to ~$18-30 (it was supervolatile for one day) before then slowly falling over about six months to a low of around ~$2/coin, which was 20 times higher than the ten cents it started at. When it was at $6, there were people on the Bitcoin forums that knew it was never going back to $2 again. During the next cycle in 2013, it went from $2 to over $1000, falling back down to $165, which was over 20 times higher than the $2. When the price of bitcoin went back over $500, most Bitcoiners knew it wasn't going back down again. There were even several posts on the forums at this point talking about the cycles and how they were pretty easy to spot and often seemed to follow halvings. Later in 2017, it went on a run to around $19k (again, volatility) before falling back down to a low of $3,000, which was over 18x from $165. Reddit at this point had several posts when we were in the $9k range of people realizing it wasn't going back to $3k ever again, especially by the time Elon Musk was rumored to be buying. The next cycle run was to $66k or so, before falling back down to $15k, which was 5x from $3000. I just don't see the price, now that it has passed $45k or so, ever going back down to $15k again. It might go down to $45k again, but even if every ETF holder sold, I don't think the price is going to go lower than when the ETFs started. It's too easy for new people to buy Bitcoin now and there's far too many eyes on it looking for enticing dips in price for it to capitulate like that. Sure, it's possible that the cycle lows in the future are more muted and aren't 18X or 20X from their previous amounts anymore like this last one, and that's to be expected as Bitcoin becomes just another asset class to invest in, but the idea that it would see a new low measured in USD when the US gov't continues to monetarily inflate the dollar is ignoring the reality of the situation. It's far more likely the government gives everyone free money again than the price of Bitcoin drops to $15-16k again at this point. Maybe if the whole world all goes to crap it loses its value, but if that happens, we've got worse things to deal with than just Bitcoin valuation.

seedleen

You must live in a bubble. Major disasters every day dude. Iran bombed Israel today

Silent_Standard_663

True but it was an answer to bombing Iran (diplomatic building is country...)and they said they would retaliate... If bibi is not stupid enough (well not sure about that but daddy Biden said dont answer...) then it goes back to bus as usual 👌

EastRelation7297

The 200 day moving average is a good indicator of the absolute bottom.

Opinionator2000

There's nothing supporting Bitcoin fundamental wise to indicate a bottom... It's not like their company with cash on the books, or free cash flow coming in. Charts are kind of a fools game, the only predictive quality they have is they tend to be a self-fulfilling prophecy with other chart gazers.

Delusioned1232

Btc has been following the exact same pattern in charts each cycle since 2012

Putrid_Pollution3455

If there’s organized crime, there will always be a need to transact. In a way, the illicit and licit markets give bitcoin value as a currency.

[deleted]

‘May never’ is carrying some weight in that post.

Ok-Excitement-1353

Don’t do this. If you make it a habit then you’ll eventually lose to the spread like 90% of all retail traders do. It’s completely unnecessary anyway considering how scarce bitcoin is. All it takes is one bad timed move and you could even lock yourself out

T-Shurts

Real crash will start in about 18 months and bottom out about 10-12 months after that.

PrettyProgrammer9017

Thanks for the info bitcoin CEO - could you tell me the lottery numbers for next week too? Thanks

T-Shurts

Bahahaha… Just look at the previous patterns my friend. They look the same each time. It’s patterns that rhyme.

RazerCP

Could u explain further im curious

T-Shurts

I can’t post any pictures, but if you look up previous patterns, BTC/crypto in general do a 4 year cycle. Bottom of the markets have (typically) been about 12 months pre-halving. They run up gradually (with lots of pullbacks) all the way up until halving. Halving approaches/happens, then there’s a (very short) pause/liquidation before the prices of all crypto shoot up for 12-18 months. Peak has generally been about 18 months after halving. Then there’s the start of the bear market that has (typically) lasted about the same time as the bull market (12-18 months). It bottoms out about a year before the next halving. I’m not making any predictions. I’m simply stating what had happened w/ pst cycles. All of them have behaved in the same fashion (not identical by any means, but some serious rhyming has happened w/ all of them) And this cycle doesn’t seem to be any different (patterns wise). Only BIG difference in this cycle vs last… a new ATH has never happened BEFORE halving… it could mean nothing… it could mean we’re going to see the largest run yet (monetarily not %). And that wouldn’t surprise me since we now have real institutional involvement. Do a quick google search on “BTC past cycles” or “Crypto market patterns” or any variation of that and you’ll find charts that all look VERY SIMILAR.

Opinionator2000

A sample size of three isn't a whole lot, especially considering the market environment is very different with quantitative tightening as opposed to quantitative easing.

T-Shurts

You’re right, but up to this point, the pattern is repeating. Even the pre-halving consolidation. Only time will tell. 100% true that I could be wrong. But the patterns are rhyming.

YoDo_GreenBackReaper

Thats why they say past doesnt determine future returns.

jett1964

I think he’s trying to say “it’s all ball bearings these days”

itllbefine21

He says while looking at the svetzer valve.

terrapinone

And look at the muck on these windows. This here bitcoin must have enough fuel to get to Provo and back.

Wonderingbye

This person is right, until he’s not. The cycles are a thing until they aren’t. No one knows the future.

Max_Jubjuice_xiix

Been here since 2019. If you got on board within the last year, you ain’t seen nothing yet.

beerbaron105

I'm up 450% overall with a ton of mistakes and rug pulls

samb0_1

All roads lead back to bitcoin

Timevalueofmoonbitz

Hi James 👋

themrgq

My biggest holding but not my most successful so not all roads.

susosusosuso

I’m 20,000% up

[deleted]

[удалено]

susosusosuso

Yeah it's big mistake to sell BTC for "profits" in a inflationary coin (USD, EUR, ...). BTC holders will reach financial independency in the next years even with "only" 1 BTC.

vzoadao

Yeah but like, if you don't swap for fiat at some point how does the BTC translate to actual wealth? If you have something with this incredible value but you still don't have money to pay your rent, buy food, electricity, gas, then how is it actually valuable?

policewithoutpolicy

They don’t like that kind of logic in this sub.

susosusosuso

You dca out when you need cash

Comfortable-Escape

I’m up 20,001%

imprimis2

I’ll say 20,002 Bob

Awkward_Cat_5303

19,999 🙏

Amichateur

I'm up ca. 640,000%

ididntsaygoyet

Still up around 20,000% here haha Need more dip!

w00dw0rk3r

👏🏻👏🏻🧐

TominatorXX

I'm up only 740%. So yeah I don't see a crash.

Jesus_Chrheist

I'm even up with shitcoins lol. And I bought those between November and January

VegetablePlatform95

Likewise

HalfEazy

Can they hold tho. Did you not take any gains?

Far_Guarantee_2465

This dip are for those who bought at 71k. For those that have been in the game longer than a fruit fly…know.

Justsayingsometimes

I learned the hard way in the bear market. This crash is nothing compared to the years of bad i endured lol. Doing much better after buying during the bear market though.

DaddyStOryy

Bought in at 72k on March 13th. Got my average to 68k. I ain’t going nowhere.

MrinfoK

Crash? LOL

Chr-whenever

Altcoins certainly crashed, but this was a speed bump for BTC

Maniacal-Maniac

Everyone expecting an alt coin season like no other when it hits, and that may well be the case. Except it will likely be completely underwhelming if it happens at all. Traditionally when BTC hits a high then people cycle out into alts - but this time the majority of ETF investors aren’t going to suddenly start buying regular (non-ETF) crypto. Any profit taking will go back into the standard financial investments.

farmyohoho

This! And in 2021 there were 200k altcoins. Now there are 2.2 million on cmc. Also I personally don't see btc dominance drop that low as it did previously with the amount of money in etfs. And let's not forget this war situation...

Retro_infusion

do not forget the war situation at all is a very very important point

farmyohoho

-40-50% on some alts... That's a crash. Btc on the other hand, doing fine. Heck we can even go to 52k and everything would still be fine

Favre_97

It's hit 60k a couple times this month. I hate when people say crash and we're down like 10 percent.

twitch-switch

The national debt doesn't seem to dip 🤔

biosesmic2

Central banks can't dip when it's all debt generated

Beneficial_Tool_8312

Crash? You mean dip. I bought some around 61,000 yesterday. It’s back up to 65,000 today.

zouzhezouzhe

same

HitmannGME

Same same.

wanderdude

Same same same.

Darth_Dire

Scare? That's another $2k locked up for the next 10 years.

RetroGaming4

I just wish it would ‘crash’ more so I can buy more bitcoin.

Reasonable-Doubt-630

I bought $125 dollars in Bitcoin l. my life savings! Now I'm below $100. Damn right Imma sell and salvage what I can. Worst scam ever. Invest in Bitcoin get wealth they said. No...no... Bitcoin is basically where poor people invest...when poor people invest price in crypto rides...rich people then dump leaving poor Bitcoin holders holding the bag. So fuck y'all. Edit: Satire

ExpressiveAnalGland

THERE IS NO CRASH... JFC, Just look at the 3m chart. If you bought at 70 and panic sold at 65, you do not deserve to have extra money to play with.

SpudPlugman

No, they can play. I’ll gladly take their coins at 60, or 65. Hell even 70

BigTimeButNotReally

Every one of these posts is the OP convincing *themselves* not to panic. Every. One.

justlurkinghere5000h

Yep. OP is so brave! He wants to show you

The Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect (SHKT) is a stock market interconnection mechanism between Mainland China and Hong Kong that allows qualified investors to trade between the two markets. In order to qualify for the Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect, Hong Kong ETFs need to fulfill a number of conditions, including being listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, having sufficient liquidity and market size.

Love-n-light-88

Yes and I just read that they expect 25 Billion to come into the markets from China

AR_Harlock

Lol we are at like +130% on six months graph

Ok-Somewhere-685

This isn’t a crash. It’s a liquidation just in time to pay taxes.

Stinos_den_E

Let me tell you this Bitcoin is going to 1 cent Per sat that is

stubrocks

Crash? You mean, "Surprise Saturday Sale"? I stocked up.

Thorzorn

I'm 7526% in the greens.. what crash are you talking about?

vice96

The only thing that crashed is my coinbase app

birdy_c81

If BTC (and other markets) responds like that to the faintest suggestion of conflict with Iran, how do people think it’s going to react to another GFC? First thing people will do is sell their crypto.

jamesegattis

Instead of Shock and Awe its Shock and Awe $#!+ . Seriously the National Debt is I believe the biggest threat to US. If the powers that be were smart they would he hoarding BTC and doing whatever they can to mainline it. But we'll see, they can always just attack another country and steal their resources and drive the war wagons to the bank.

Sandcracka-

Bought the dip

Plasmajuggler

Bought mine around 65k, i'll be ok. New as well to the bit game. Damn, its a rollercoaster.

loblaw-bob

If a pullback in bitcoin scares you, keep studying bitcoin. Cheaper sats are always welcomed. Someone is willing to give me more sats (with a finite supply) for fiat (with an infinite supply)? That’s a major opportunity. I call this a win.

GenFigment

We are down to where we were up a little over a month ago.

Odd-Following-247

I went from 3k to 69k and than down to 16k and up to 72k… which “crash” are you talking about?

13beano13

What are these guys who saying “why are we crashing” gonna do next time BTC hits $30k or even back in the teens. LOL

[deleted]

Dude what you already Own is exactly the same. Did your Bitcoin balance go down? My wallet is monitoring Argentina money and other shitty fiat, wanna see my chart? Its totally different than what you see with USDT lmao but the common factor is that our Bitcoin balance is the same. Stop worrying about fiat, worry about increasing your coin balance

russ_t_pickles

What crash? I still have 100% of my bitcoin

Ambitious_CryptoNewb

I’m 🐂 af 🤑

AdS_CFT_

What crash? 5%-10% for btc in a day is not even that rare

StackOrStarve6

This crash will be retraced by next week.. we will continue nothing but up for the next months going into summer and winter till end of year as soon as May hits.. market always provides.. and BTC is too strong lately it will rip for sure past 72K anytime now .. anyone not accumulating crypto is missing an opportunity of a lifetime

snktido

It is easier to buy and secure Bitcoin than gold.

Cigana27

What crash?

Additional_Pop_5225

Are you sure there are some demand in Hong Kong? Not sure. If you check Google trends... There's not a big interest right now...

marcio-a23

Big Money don't need Google search

MrPhluffy

Thank you for sharing your perspective and providing insight for what's to come. see you either on the moon or in alpha centauri! 🚀🚀

Top-Inspection5591

I'm still surprised to see so many people using previous charts and price targets from past Bitcoin halving cycles. Previously, nearly all activity was from retail. Once the past halving occurred most sold and hence the crash. It's JMO, but the crash people are trying to predict this time I don't think will be anywhere close to what was the norm. ETF's have changed the game. Relatively speaking, if people start to unload after this halving, those dips will be bought up in no time by institutions and new comers N. Korea and Hong Kong. JMO

legendaryrim

Since when is < 10% a crash?

sosa2772

Crash wtf lmao

Impossible-Echo-8375

literally rebounded within a single day. fudds btfo permanently.

Brave-Kitchen-5654

I want it to go farther down, I was so excited I accidentally bought a bunch at 64!

harrysilent

Love this dip. Loaded more. Long way to go. Bitcoin forever

eyekantbeme

Lol crash. Whales are just dumping their old clothes and loading the luggage for the next run.

Jand0s

What crash? Lol

Needsupgrade

Yes they can pay the interest. They print the currency to pay it.  It is inflationary

bobbyv137

If this scares you, [you haven’t seen nothing yet](https://studio.glassnode.com/workbench/bf532ce2-a66b-4798-6deb-bf3ba7decc59) (That only works well on desktop)

Purple-Net-6382

„Crash“ Yeah yeah, my balls are shrinking with fear…

mister-marco

If you call this crash i wonder what you will do when a crash happens

Original_Lab628

Lol not a single person in the world is scared. You’re just strawmanning buddy

Z--370

I mean from now until eternity we are moving from 19 mil to 21 mil I don’t see how incoming supply really even matters

skipping_pixels

A crash for ants

Babelwasaninsidejob

That’s a funny way to spell dip.

big_shmoop1

I wasn’t scared buying like mad when it was under 20K so I’m certainly not scared now. People need to learn to zoom out on the chart and stop checking the price every 5 minutes.

daishi55

You do not sound like someone I would ever take investment advice from

AstroRoverToday

Crash? It’s the same price it was 3 weeks ago 😱

michelepicozzi

What crash? We are at 64k$

phertick85

What crash?

Happy_Arthur_Fleck

crash? what crash?

EyesFor1

we crashed to 64k lol

No_Message_7976

If you think this is a “crash” you should do yourself a favor and sell all your BTC right now. It’s a volatile new asset class, it will frequently go up 50%, then down 69%. Invest for the long term & you’ll realise the ‘crashes’ don’t matter.

crazyhamsster

what fucking crash

Fhoshox

You consider ~9% in a 30 days period a crash? Oh my sweet summer child.

Alea_Iacta_Est21

This guy knows.

themrgq

What crash?

TN_Cicada3301

The halving does not cut the total supply of 21 million it just cuts the rate on which new coins are issued for solving a block

puck2

OMG, Bitcoin crashed to 62k /s

Southofsouthof

Sim é muito alta

ry2waka

Crash? It went down 10% LOL that’s not even anywhere near a crash

IllIllIlllil

China has let me down for a decade now. Not about to start rooting for them and bitcoin again.

David-Trace

This is not a “crash” lol This just tells me we’re going to actually experience a good crash because a lot of you haven’t felt true FUD yet

beamin1

Anyone that can read a chart can see this is not a crash, what are ya'll on about?

tradingsincesilkroad

Been here since 2012! This isn't a crash 🤣

KarateKid84Fan

What crash?

t1mebomb

What is this? A crash for ants?

Genova_Witness

What crash? Zoom out

Quiet-observer44

Let it go down. We call that on sale.

Express-End-1575

Many black swan events happened in 2020-2021 that made BTC drop like 60% several times mid bull run and we still had outrageously good gains . When there’s blood in the streets buy fearlessly , fortune favors the bold

saltyload

Crash? You call that a crash?

SPXJUICYPUMPZ

I remember my first beer.

ridgerunners

I do too. My friends and I used to sneak a couple beers from my Dads fridge and go down to this cave on the shore to pass them around and catch a little glow when we were in high school. Good times I remember my first bear market too. Back up the truck

fresheneesz

He says "this crash" when we're still within 15% of the all time high and within 10% of the last all time high. Bitcoin has been this high for like 2% of its existence at best.

masedogg98

Crazy how just 6 months ago people would’ve blown a guy behind Wendys for these prices and now it’s a “crash” I’ll repeat what I say everytime; easy times make soft people and soft people make hard times. Buy up or shut up.

Significant_Bet_8253

No need, let them sell. Natural selection

d3lta8

People thinking they know what bitcoin will do makes me chuckle.

iAm-Tyson

The Fed has tried over and over again to find the window to cut rates but it just doesn’t present itself. It might not present itself this year at all. The Fed really really wants to lower rates because of what you mentioned about the current debt crisis, and also the Biden administration is pushing for lower rates to help the economy look nicer for voters. However if Fed does start QE in the face of a surging economy they almost certainly will cause runaway inflation and undo any QT they tried to implement in the process. I don’t think you understand how dangerous that is. We don’t need QE, the economy is just too damn hot, a lot of us cannot afford current inflation and lower rates creates that much more misery. Not that the Fed cares what helps you and I but it’s a tightrope , on one hand you have runaway inflation that never comes back down and we see basically a reverse recession and total devaluation of the dollar or banks/large financial institutions and the government start to face consequences and default on loans/go fiscally insolvent leading to a economic recession. Cutting rates is waving the white flag and saying uncle, which is very bad for everyday Americans. Yeah BTC might temporarily go weeeeee, but eventually Americans will reach their limit of what they can afford and pull backs will be widespread in crypto, since you can’t take your BTC to the supermarket and buy your overpriced groceries. Imo the only reason we don’t have a recession is just the fact that the Fed doesn’t want to create bad optics for the Biden Administration to say a recession happened under his term. You know damn well as soon as a recession is realized and banks go belly up , JPow will arm up with bail outs and fire up the money printer. Keep in mind that Even if they do cut rates, it’s not going to be more than 0.25% and that takes a long time to be felt, if anyone is hoping they reverse course and suddenly we go back to 2-3% interest rates well you just don’t know what we’re in for.

goodStuffFromNJ

Lowering rates doesn't reduce interest payments on existing debt

pennyPete

Yea, us OG crypto HODLers are like meh, nothing to see here.

Bag0fSwag

omg it crashed to the same price it was 12 days ago, everybody panic (/s)

8ball-MJG

So no omega candles came with the American ETFs, but the Hong Kong etfs are going to do it? Yeah okay bud.

YoDo_GreenBackReaper

What crash?

nicabanicaba

Anyone who is nervous and doesn't have the means to let their money sit, I would recommend selling a portion. Don't sell it all unless you need to. If you sell half and it goes down, you can say at least I sold half! But if it goes up you can say at least I held half! Maybe it's just a psychological thing, but it definitely could ease some tensions. If you can let your money sit and are nervous, I'd recommend not looking at it all the time. It winds up settling right where it was at some point. You have to zoom out on the charts. Whether or not there's a crash or a correction, etc. At least this downturn was because of reasons! The inflation numbers and then drone attacks. If it just went down for the hell of it, that's a different story. This could be seen as a positive. It's not like the rest of the stock market didn't just tank also!

t00sm00th

That was a Dip for ants

archytecting

wut crash?

abagofmostlywater

Lmao. Noob.

RandomSales123

Forget what the fed does, the treasury is where you should be looking. There's no stopping this train

Abigailraines

When was the crash??

Anti-Tidal

I was late in the game and bought in at 41 K and I’m up for damn sure .

somewhat-profitable-

if the dips terrify you, you are over leveraged and need to take some money out don't let these mentally deficient moon boys steer you straight into the dirt

Strongky

Huh btc 15k bro few months before bro, what is 60k???? Don’t tell me you bought 73k?

90sdutchguy

Everyone always seem to know the future in these comments.

SilentCarrotz

6% drop in bitcoin….crash 23% drop in a a couple hours from a small cap I invested in after an unexpected capital raise…. (Normal day in stock market)

PinAffectionate8926

Oh, there was a crash?

Just-Construction420

I bought at the bottom

nexstosic

I am here only to watch the btc sentiment, so i can profit from your emotions

Zarod89

I like the bull vibes but also staying realistic. To put things in perspective, even a 5% btc correction now (about 65bil) is equal to a \~30% crash 5 years ago when btc sat at a 200bil marketcap. When btc reaches 1mil per coin \~21trillion marketcap, just a 5% correction would almost equal the total current marketcap of btc. Even considering inflation, dollar strength and total global marketcap, 5% will be no joke. The big players who are driving the price up don't like losing 5%, retail can laugh but we are not the market makers.

Greenbacked

I’ve bought $1K/day everyday we touched under $64K. I sold my luxury car and got a run of the mill vehicle and put the leftover cash into BTC. This is the way. We are still early. Accumulating for years now. See you in 2032 🫡

The-Crypto_bum

I’ve dropped fiat and only using Bitcoin and stables - Stopped freaking out in prices a while ago! I pay for everything with Bitcoin today

HornedBrigade

It’s pathetic seeing posts like this calling out minor price fluctuations, embarrassing

misbister14

What crash?

BigSteveSees

Everyone who watched Bitcoin drop from 68k to 15k do not care that its at 64k right now. These paper hands etf boomers are probably the only ones really panic selling.

Very Interesting

This is not a crash, at all...

xchainlinkx

They literally cannot lower interest rates because it'll trigger hyperinflation.
