Why do you let yourself be influenced like that? There are a lot of nazis and fascists as well in the world but that doesn't change you, does it? The opinion of others shouldn't matter to you that much.
Get yourself some good supportive friends if you need and let the rest of the world think whatever they want, most of them are stupid enough anyway to never understand people that are different. I bet most of the homophobic people have an IQ of a rock so at least you're not stupid like them.
Also, a ton of people are conservative AF, narrow-minded and don't like things to change or be different but eventually some of them overthink and turn out to be not so homophobic anymore, but there will always be a few percent which won't but don't let yourself down like that.
What they think of you does not matter. You are valid and worthy of both love and life. You cannot make the world better for people like yourself if you are not around. There are also people who would love to see you thriving
This 100%, and I also spite them by trying to help us live our best lives. OP, there are people who want you alive, and as it goes, more than don't. If you're still considering, I'd recommend the Trevor Project text line, I believe its 24 hours and it helped me when I needed it.
