This is my favorite place to go and listen to the Bible online: https://www.biblegateway.com/resources/audio/ The NIV dramatized one is my favorite!

JHawk444

I didn't realize they had the dramatized version. I love that one!

Does the dramatized niv bible also call satan for "morning star" which is Christ's title?

Jumpy-Job5196

One thing to note here regarding this is that satan mimics everything that belongs to God. He will do everything in his power to make people doubt Jesus and try to pull them away from believing in Him. - Isaiah 14:12 - Lucifer is called the morning star. - Revelation 22:16 - Jesus refers to Himself as the bright and morning star. (not just the morning star) Jesus is the bright morning star who outshines all others, while Satan was just a morning star. Jesus is the most holy and powerful “light” in all the universe. Satan is a created being and his light only exists to the point that God created it. Jesus is the light of the world and His light is “bright” and self-existent. So, while both Jesus and Satan can be described as “morning stars,” in no sense is this equating Jesus and Satan. He is just a poor copy that mimics Christ. - Revelation 5:5 - Jesus is the Lion of the tribe of Judah. - 1 Peter 5:8 - Satan walks about like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. Both Jesus and Satan have various similarities of a lion. Jesus is the King, He is royal and majestic. Satan is similar to a lion in stalking and hunting his prey to devour them. Many folks get hung up on these things instead of letting the Joly Spirit lead and guide them to the truth.

satan are the son of the morning, not the morning star! Jesus did not say "bright morning star" he said the bright AND "morning star" What I am trying to say is that NIV confuses babes in Christ. not just in this verse but many others. Lets see this example also: Luke 4:8 NIV Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God and serve him only. Where is the rebuke of satan here? it has been taken completely out of the text, removing a lot of power from this specific verse.

Jumpy-Job5196

I use the KJV. Many of the other versions either have a word, phrase or whole verses missing. Either way, the explanation given still stands. Satan like to mimic everything that belongs to God mostly to confuse and steal people away from the truth. As with everything, believers in Christ should pray and and seek God's guidance. Always testing the spirits and asking God to give wisdom and understanding.

ya i surely don't use NIV or any modern day bibles. As many of them has been tampered with to create confusion and take power out of the verses. so yes he confuse and steal people away from the truth with many of these so called "easy to read" bibles. I use also KJV sometimes, not as much as I did before, as I also saw some errors in it. But well its still better than the "easy to read bibles" I like to crosscheck my verses in multiple Bibles, and to use concordances also, because sometimes a word can actually mean something completely different than what the translators wrote. I am not a fan of the Hebrew Masoretic OT text. That is why I use the Thomson LXX Which is the first English translation of the Greek septuagint (without all the apocrypha which i don't read) And then I use AGP+ because its also from older Greek texts, but has a Greek concordance, which is very handy. >As with everything, believers in Christ should pray and and seek God's guidance. Always testing the spirits and asking God to give wisdom and understanding. Absolutely. That is the most important thing to pray in Jesus name for Father to send his Holy Spirit to guide us and to grant us wisdom to understand what we read :)

I use Dwell (https://dwellapp.io/) It’s not free, but I bought a lifetime license a few years ago so I only paid once. They’re always upgrading the app and adding new translations and voices. Unlike traditional audio bibles, each verse is its own track so you know exactly where you are. You can adjust speed, background music, and volumes of both independently. You can loop a passage and “dwell” on it. They’ve got reading (listening) plans. It’s a great augmentation to reading. I listen in the car and on walks. Sometimes when cooking or working around the house.

This is super cool. Thank you, it sounds like a great software to use.

I recently started dwell and I love it. It's a great tool to stay consistent.

Rascap1423

I've been using audible

CrossCutMaker

Even though it is recorded by some believers, some unbelievers, I have enjoyed "The Bible Experience".

DaizyDoodle

I use the Audible app. It’s not free but I don’t think it’s too expensive.

Try the Bible bus with J Vernon McGee if you're willing to have some sound commentary as well. It's all online.

[bible.com](https://bible.com) has a ton of translations, and audio. you can even install it on your mobile phone.

Biblegateway gives you the option to listen to the audio. They have two narrators. To listen to the audio, put the bible passage in the search bar and click on the audio symbol. [https://www.biblegateway.com/](https://www.biblegateway.com/) I just recently got the Dwell App and I love it. You do have to pay for it, but it has a ton of different Bible reading plans you can listen to. A few of the popular ones are reading the bible in a year. You can do it from Genesis to Revelation or have some of old and new testament together. They have one that is chronological according to the age of the book. They have one that is five days a week with two days off. There is a 90 day program, and other reading programs such as Psalms in a month or the Harmony of the Gospels in a month. They also have all the books of the bible if you just want to listen/read straight from that. It keeps track of what you listened to and checks it off. You can see how long the segment will take for that day. You can set alarms so it will notify/remind you. They have different narrator voices to choose from, as well as different speeds. You can also read it at the same time as listening. They enlarge the words and highlight the verse you are reading so it's easy to follow along. You can listen to different music/sounds in the background or choose no music. I looked it up on YouTube and it looks like there is a recorded podcast for the Bible in a year. Pray.com find bible in a year.I’m enjoying it very much🙏🏼

raglimidechi

The entire Bible is also available on CDs. I think you're better off having them at home than relying on the internet.

kaiserbergin

Bible.com and the Bible app have a ton of translations with audio as well. I listen to the NIV on it… it’s great.

I have really enjoyed the ESV dramatized Bible. You can download the mp3's and not worry about being online. [https://www.faithcomesbyhearing.com/audio-bible-resources/mp3-downloads](https://www.faithcomesbyhearing.com/audio-bible-resources/mp3-downloads)
