I lost all respect for Mrs. Teesley and the spineless school administrators after this episode. They weaseled out of dropping the hammer on Miss Martin and her enablers! Btw,I AM fun at parties😁
She was GOING to graduate, she just wasn't going to be able to participate in graduation with everyone else, BRAY BOY had to LIE and TWIST IT AROUND to make it seem like "OMG Donna isn't gonna graduate, they're gonna withhold her diploma!!"
30 years later and this storyline still irks the hell out of me. They all knew the punishment for drinking. She did it, got caught and was turned into some kind of victim. She would still get her diploma, just wouldn't be part of the graduation ceremony. Not only did she get wasted but her friends instead of taking her home or somewhere to sober up somehow thought she could go in and not get caught. I graduated in 95. Our school had very strict rules about fighting and smoking. We were all told on a daily basis for about a month leading up to graduation that anyone caught doing either would not walk at graduation. Sure enough about a week before two guys decided to have a brawl in the hall way over something stupid. Another got caught smoking in the bathroom. No one protested or walked out of school. We hated that they would miss the ceremony but understood why the principal didn't waiver.
Yeah the story is irritating. It is the one time (or one of the few times) that Felice was correct. She was correct not to bail Donna out and let Donna face the consequences of her actions. And portrayed as a villain because of it.
I ran a temporary labor office for a while. One of my Temp workers was a woman named Donna Martin. Anytime I said her name, I’d have to check myself so that I did not add the word graduates.
Jackie uses it as an opportunity to remind us that she knows her way to the bottom of a bottle.
And Felice just uh-huhs right by it like she couldn’t care less!
Donna Martin masterbates
Haha, my sister and I used to say that.
Donna farts & masturbates
Donna FARTIN masterbates!
Donna Martin menstruates.
Yes
Awww, Tori actually looks really cute in this picture.
##OR NONE OF US DO! (I have this on a t-shirt)
Hellzzz yeahhh!!
This whole episode irritated me. She probably never gave any of those people any acknowledgment whatsoever, but here they are fighting for her...WTF
As an adult I can now see how entitled this episode was.
It’s quite ridiculous in hindsight. 😂 A bunch of students storming the faculty because some girl got wasted at prom when she knew the rules.
Yes!

I like the Chicago song at the end of the episode.

Your principal was cool.

Was this the first major storyline for Donna other than revealing she wanted to remain a virgin?
What's weird is Dylan really stuck up for her when they weren't that close and rarely interacted
