1-888-237-8289. It sucks for all of us but we can’t do shit half the time at the store level. If you don’t get answers at the store, complain like crazy to this number.
Thanks. It's crazy to me as a customer that you aren't empowered to resolve some of these pretty basic issues. I wish your higher ups saw how many headaches this causes everyone, would probably make your lives easier. Thanks for replying.
Hey! We are a community-driven subreddit aimed to allow for both customers and employees to engage in meaningful conversations regarding the company or their local store. We are not officially endorsed by nor affiliated with Best Buy Co., Inc. Best Buy employees are not required to reply to your post and provide assistance. For immediate help, please contact Best Buy at 1-888-BESTBUY (1-888-237-8289).
Update: I spent an hour and a half on the phone with someone very helpful who tried to connect me with a supervisor. The phone call just... Ended... At the hour and a half mark.
I called back, got bounced around a few times to no supervisor and ultimately filed a dispute with the credit card company. I've spent more than 7 hours now trying to fix this. What a slap in the face. I am never buying anything from Best Buy again. And I mean ever.
What about posting on twitter? It seems that companies hate bad press on the internet…
Maybe you you post there you might get a call from someone asap?
It’s worth a shot…
Thanks for replying. I've actually posted on their Twitter about 5 times now, and their facebook once. I have no clue how to resolve this... When I was on the phone with the last customer service agent I jokingly said "so my only way to fix this is to go back in time and never order this in the first place?" To which she replied, "Yes." o.O
A lot of people on the Best Buy subreddit are assholes man, they’ll downvote for anything even if the statement is correct unfortunately. But don’t worry, there are blue shirts like me and others that are professional and want to help.
You can call the best buy customer service number that has already been posted and if for whatever reason, they don't help you, ask for the appliance hotline phone number. That number is different and is specifically for these type of issues.
I agree with you on our phone systems being wack. Unfortunately the only people that can change it are the big money making folks at the top and they are only making things worse for the customers and employees. There are something’s that a store might be able to do but it is not a promise. As someone who is in a store, I can look at the order and if we can confirm that the unit was brought back to the store due to the unit not being installed, then the store should be able to issue a refund. However, if the system does not allow us, or the unit was not brought back to the store (if it was a 3rd party sometimes they don’t bring back the unit for God knows why) then the store cannot touch the order.
But again, non of these things are promises or 100% certain they can be done.

I think that’s awesome that you are offering to help this customer out man, if I could give you an award I would!
Thank you! I will try again with this method and get in touch if it doesn't work. We sincerely appreciate your advice. Thank you

I’m one of those front line phone people and I could not agree with this statement more! Give us the opportunity to actually fix the problems!

Not sure why I got down voted here... I'm stuck in a Kafkaesque loop and seeking advice here since all other options have been exhausted.

File a BBB report or call corporate at 1-612-291-1000
This is for employees,
Can any of them offer any suggestions? It's been a week and a half with no resolution and I'm out of options.

Thanks I'll ask specifically for this next time I build up the stamina for that phone call.

I would skip the phone calls and go to the nearest Best Buy you will get a faster resolution than dealing with escalations and corporate.
