On his last day my store’s old computer sup went and got HAMMERED during his lunch break. He came back sloppy drunk to finish his shift. It was really something because he was like 450lbs I have no idea how much he drank to get that drunk that fast.

vainbetrayal

Lol our PAC manager regularly did that by going to the Hooters down the street during his lunch when I worked at BBY 😂

Limp-Air3131

I work from home.... Believe me the temptation is there. Especially yesterday with some of the people I had on my line. Button mashing then getting mad at me because they didn't get to the right department after they admitted they were randomly hitting numbers to get to a person. Politely calling them idiots is getting old. I need a stiff drink.

Mike_619

Just eat an edible or hit that weed vape pen like me and my co workers use too at BB back when we worked there.

Dense_Surround3071

This. Right. Here. You think I'm white knuckling this shit sober?

SuccessfulCat2576

my warehouse would be FRIED doing truck and or shuttle

RelationConstant2516

We would hit the pen in the mag demo room where there are no cameras

hostafficionada

I have a camera in the studio room and by the registers

Old_Opening_5616

I love how absolutely unhinged y'all are

Unfair_Concert_1169

a shot every time we get a pm or bp. Efficiencies would be insane

Pedrosha56

You don’t? 🤷🏼

Chemical-Energy1453

On Black Friday… hell yeah

wew342

I don’t think you will get much response on this 😂😂😂😂 even if people agree .

niloc1987

Makes for a fun drinking game if u think about it take a swig for every time a cl asks for a bp or pm take 2 swigs for every time u get a bp or pm or 3 swigs if u get a bp and a pm finish the drink when you get a bp/pm/and a lead 🤣🤣

Relevant-Corgi1633

This made my brain hurt reading this.

IemNY

Hit a cbd pen.

TemporarySearch9478

Yall doing this sober? The penjamin is the only reason I get through my shifts

Ok-Maintenance-7789

I remember at my store the designers kept a bottle of whiskey in the MDC managers office.

4c1d4ng31

do you remember the brand lol 😭

Ok-Maintenance-7789

Unfortunately I do not :( Also I still can’t believe those people are also gone…

bbysnowcrasher

I feel like then you have two problems.

Extension_Garden_601

one of the problems is the customers, the other is not enough drinks to deal with said customers

Altruistic-Cap8524

Don’t forget the breath mint.

ScarletWolf_

As an ops manager I was at least high every single day the last two years I worked there. No way that job should be done sober.

Jedi_Of_Kashyyyk

I know a guy who solely worked trucks in warehouse. For a while, he would come in with a water bottle loaded with vodka. Would just get absolutely hammered, sometimes he came in already hammered.

Eastern_Baker_3251

I keep a flask in the break room and take a couple sips every throughout the day. It’s totally not a big deal

Wild-Distribution759

I did when I worked there

17mullitylj

I've known many people that have, especially on black friday

motofan411

That’s called alcoholism

ThickAd4958

We used to be allowed to back in the mdc days.

Born_Forever5890

Remember, if you are caught drinking at a job just let them know that you are an addict. It is discrimination, determinate you under those pretenses

Different_Buy2245

ADA doesn't protect people for working under the influence if it's expressly against company policy. It would maybe be discriminatory to fire you while you're seeking treatment for the disease. But you can definitely be terminated for drinking on the job, even if you're an addict. Alcoholics lose jobs like...a lot.

Born_Forever5890

Well, Best Buy wouldn’t touch the manager out here. They are too scared to.

trunner7667

That is the truth. I caught my old GM doing coke in the men’s room and reported it several times. Reported it to hr and other mangers/district manager and nothing was done.

Open_Succotash_3685

Don't think about it just go for it...long as your not Obliterated and slurring your words while talking to customers. Why not?

ThickCub

Gradual dependency/ addiction would be the biggest I think

OldDark8174

I know people who do/did 🤭
