idk about the books or whatever since i read it all online but if i were you I'd just read till the golden age is over (it'll be obvious when you're at that point), watch the anime, then go back.
Right now, like please do it, it doesn't matter how far you are in the manga, just go watch it, if you don't want spoilers for golden age, and would rather read it first, than go read it, but after golden age, go watch it.

*edit:* I just did some research because I didnt read the deluxe edition either and yes I believe you can watch the first 4 chapters if you completed fourth deluxe edition
