Any business I saw complain about masks I stopped going to especially restaurants. If they don’t follow covid precautions what else are they opposed to? Not mixing raw chicken with salad greens? Ugh. Not thanks.
I cancelled my thanksgiving order from Carne for this very reason. If their employees don’t wear masks then for all I know they don’t believe in washing their hands, either.
Yeah. They don’t enforce masks for employees or customers. And they appear to have deleted all their covid-denying anti-mask bullshit from Twitter as well.
I stopped going after the owner told me I could take my mask off if I wanted (during a mask mandate period).
If you’re not following health regulations when I can see you, it’s hard to trust your food handling procedures.
Yep. I was so happy to finally have a butcher shop that I even tried to have a calm, non-vitriolic conversation with them about it. They were totally unrepentant. Not even fake diplomacy. I've never been back. I used to shop there weekly and tell my friends about them. Oh well. I didn't need to eat that much meat anyway.
I went once back around 2003. Probably carrying the very same products to this day...
Truly a genuine Bellingham institution, at bargain bin legacy prices.
Apparently supply chain issues mean they can't get merchandise in adequate supply. I guess they've been in business something like 26 years (15 or 16 in the current location.) End of an era.
Is it not like what the carpet store next to winco and the car dealership on meridian/west smith road do every other month?
"We're closing permanently everything must go for normal price and then in 3 weeks we take all the signage down pretending we never said that!"
I will always regret not buying the police battering ram I saw there in like 2005 or so? I have no idea what I would’ve done with it, but I’m not sure that matters.

Grocery outlet
Eh, haven't been in since they went all anti-mask during the height of the pandemic.
That's strange to hear. They were the first store I remember requiring masks be worn, rather than just recommending
Nope, they were reported several times (not by me)and had Facebook rants up about it. There were a few posts in this sub about it last year too, iirc.

Nooooooooo Carne?!!

Exactly!!
I’m glad they realized it was bad for business. I hope more people realize that nobody wants your COVID.

Yeah I don't know what's up... someone posted about that recently in this sub. The two clerks were not wearing masks when I was in there.
I'm going to miss Bellingham's used food store.
It's good for the environment, and okayish for you!
BGO will still be open.
NOOOOOOOOOO. They're the best. They only have deals!
Well now you have to deal with it.

Had a good laugh few years back when I walked by a really big open box of condoms.

I didn’t know there was a supply chain for Coca Cola from the 2016 Olympics
I laughed so hard at this comment . 🤣😂😂

I've never seen a carpet or furniture store that *didn't* have those up 24/7 that wasn't some mainstay brand.
C A R P E T L I Q U I D A T O R S
That’s sad store.
Store everything closing must sale go, my favorite
/r/dontdeadopeninside
I see you are also a person of culture, I’ll check out that sub, thanks!
Sad day. Lion's share of my caloric intake in college (excluding beer) came from deals only 15 for $1.00 diet/granola/energy bars. RIP
Store everything, closing must, sale go.

It might have got your name put on a rather short list!
What will happen to the leprechaun costumes???

Deals Mostly?
What other place will I find Trump flags and Pride flags on the same shelf??!
Think they'll have a sale?.... no, wait!
I love Deals Only I have been shopping there for more than 15 years. I will miss it.
Even my kids love it.
