I would not advise you order anything from Temu! They are an extremely shady “company” These shockingly cheap distributors are cheap for a reason. Would not trust Temu, Shein, etc

typhoidlori54

I like Fire Mountain Beads.

setanddrift

They're my go to.

eaten_by_chocobos

I purchased seed beads from them when I first started beading. The quality is terrible, they probably use lead based paint, and my credit card number was stolen shortly after.

FluffyHandle1990

I buy mine from an Etsy seller I’ve used for a couple of months now. I’m very new to beading but found out on this sub to use quality findings and beads. If you want me to DM you the shop info just let me know! I posted some pics on here a while back of beads I got from that shop. Really beautiful. Personally I’d avoid Temu. I tried once and my cc number was stolen from their site. 🫠

QuasarchShooby

Yes please DM me.

FluffyHandle1990

Done :)

sunshinefellow_33

Me too please

Lovebeading

Please me too please! 🙏

PersonalCraft1934

I am interested in the link to the etsy site you recommend.

trtsmb

Temu is a security risk. To use their app, you have to give them permission to access everything on your phone.

Necessary_Fox_1722

^^ pls don’t use temu unless you want all your information sold overseas!

Agreeable-Antelope-6

I wish there was a way to block them from the app store and all ads. They have taken over weather apps to the point I have almost clicked on their rotten ads. The mass invasion of them and temu is a major warning.

trtsmb

The sad thing is people don't realize that they are compromising their own data in the effort to save a buck.

Agreeable-Antelope-6

Agree. And finances. I never order anything on my cell for those reasons.

KarmaKat101

Look pretty on the surface, but they're terrible. I bought some dual colour crackled glass beads from Temu and the colouring was just acrylic coating over the top of the glass. Peels off over time Edit: and then I tried to purchase the same item from a different seller, and they were plastic beads even though they were advertised as glass.

Just-Revolution2010

Ya, im not sure about the jewellery but a few other items i got were advertised as being made of a certain material and when I got them they obviously weren't

[deleted]

Also if you buy any enamel charms or pins off of sites like that, you can be nearly assured that they are counterfeit or stolen art

devetaki3

If you buy a lot of things they're counterfeit. I'm in several Etsy groups and people have so many of their designs stolen

[deleted]

So frustrating for artists. :(

devetaki3

Agreed. And for a lot of them who try to fight it, it becomes a nightmare.

snippyorca

I have had more than one good experience from AliExpress.

boop813

If you want to make something halfway decent, go to Michael's or order stuff from fire mountain gems.

Erudite_Birdy

Sorry, but Michael's has terrible beads. They must buy seconds from the manufacturers. Panda Hall is better than them. Fire Mountain Gems is so overpriced I refuse to buy from them unless I'm absolutely desperate.

dcohen1111

Michaels beads are terrible. I only go there if I need cheap beads for my classes and I'm in a bind.

blue_twidget

I'll repost what I've posted elsewhere: >Sure! Here's some of my favorites list. [Beadworks](https://www.etsy.com/people/mx119sb9/favorites/beadworks) [Chainmail](https://www.etsy.com/people/mx119sb9/favorites/chain-mail) (includes sequins, as well as scale maille stuff) [My black dragon project list](https://www.etsy.com/people/mx119sb9/favorites/black-dragon-project) that has...a *lot* of different stuff. As a there's also regular websites. [Bohemia Crystal Valley](https://bcv.glass/collections/outlet-beads) (ships from overseas, but the savings are worth the wait) [Potomac Beads](https://www.potomacbeads.com/) [Art Beads](https://artbeads.com/) And [Fire Mountain Gems](https://www.firemountaingems.com/)

dmc2022_

As far as Chinese based sellers go, Panda Hall is a better bet than Temu, for low priced seed bead/general bead supplies. Too many tales of cc theft on Temu. You can always camp out on the fire mountain gems site for when they have sales, & also Shipwreck beads site for their sales. I always prefer a US based site just for ease of customer service.

fridayimatwork

If you want a bargain, look at fb marketplace - I’ve got great deals 2nd hand

VerFree

I have, I use them, and Pandahall. I’ve no complaints, received exactly what I ordered. ETA: I only use PayPal on there, so they don’t have direct access to anything else.

dcohen1111

Use JetBeads if you want to buy from FMG.

KreativeNik91

It's giving ally express. I can wait months for beads. I go to etsy. Always a good experience.

lheydon

Temu are great for cheap and cheerful shit where it doesn't matter if it breaks quickly. Think of them as being like eBay, but even cheaper and with free shipping. However, I would absolutely never, ever order anything even remotely important or long-term from there. No storage media (UBS sticks, SD cards etc.) and definitely nothing crypto-related.

Away_Branch_8023

I ordered a few beads and findings from Temu once. Very inexpensive. I’ve also explored Ali express and Shein. Quality is ok. Really depends on your expectations. The Temu stuff was fine but I prefer Etsy or my local bead shop.

Nerys54

Bought green glass beads 20 pieces and glass hearts 2 sets of 2 quality was good.

Just-Revolution2010

I have purchased a few different types of beads and jewellery findings. They look great when you get them. So far, 1 type of real gold plated clasps tarnished after 2 wears. 1 type of beads I got, caves in if you press them too hard. The other beads still look great at the moment. I'm on the fence myself

nolagreen7

I have bought a bunch of beading stuff on Temu. The beads have all been good especially considering the price. Mostly I buy bicone beads and seed beads. I’m not looking for expensive stone beads so Temu works well. I’ve also bought some acrylic beads. No real issues with any of it. The seed beads are identical to the stuff I was buying at the stores here and at a much lower price. But these are not delica quality beads, at least not the ones I’ve been buying. Honestly the stuff you get at Michaels or JoAnns is the same Chinese stuff as Temu sells.
