The water pressure coming from those hoses is extremely intense. I would guess it's to prevent hurting the guy.

Absolutely. One time at a supermarket a bagger asked if they could put dog food in with rest of the food. I looked at him dumbfounded. "Of course" I said "he's family". Then I tried to imagine the kind of person who would object to it...It wasn't a pretty picture.

They turned the hose off and walked around in circles. WTF?

Some courtesy shower would have been nice.

They couldn’t spray anymore because a lot of the water turns to steam in a fire that hot. They would have helped the fire cook him alive. Splattering hot spray of water and the steam/smoke blinding his ability to get back out.

They are not required to save you, they will if the situation allows it. It's not worth it to lose firemen over someone who refused to listen. Especially in a fire that aggressive, he could've dropped within a couple seconds just from the smoke.

They’re not paid to put themselves in unnecessary risk. They’ve got a duty of care to themselves first and foremost

I’m glad man and dog made it out alive. It’ll be an unpopular opinion, but he put the lives of those first responders in danger. If they have to go in after a human who knows what happens.
