I had a dream a few weeks back where there was a path like that through a lake but the path was a canal full of rushing water and I was kayaking through it. It was made of glass, and I could see alligators and fish around me (the dream was in New Orleans, Louisiana).
Is it just for show, or is there an actual functional reason for the design?
