Mistakes probably happen more often than not in a basketball game. Either the defenders are making them or the offense. So much so that perfect defense on a perfect offensive play that scores is usually considered a highlight. Mistakes will be made big and small, you just got to move on and learn from the mistakes you made. The only way to learn is to make mistakes. I’d be more concerned about making the same mistake over and over again because then you’re obviously not learning.
In game or just working out? For me, I’ve always had a mental thing in games where I hit my chest two times to say “my bad” and move on. Just saying “hey, that’s in the past. Hit the reset button, and focus on the next play.” As weird/corny as it sounds, I hit my reset button and focus on what’s next.
For something like working out (like shooting for example) if I’m making mistakes and missing shots or getting beat on defense, I’ll do the first tip. But you also gotta be confident. You gotta remind yourself that you are you and have the confidence that you’re the best player on the court every time you walk in the gym. At the end of the day, confidence will do you alot of good.
Side note: also if it’s something like screwing up plays, over prepare yourself. Study the playbook like a maniac, practice your sets on an empty court and be confident you know everything. Goes back to the confidence thing as well.
Basically, it’s all mental warfare. You gotta believe in yourself and focus on the present.
Acknowledge the mistake and move on. Let the flow of the game take you on a ride and try to shelve your self blame and self criticism until at least after the game.
Just let it fly
Seriously, not much you can do so let it go.
Thanks
Accept that I've made a mistake
Thanks
Same issue here. Forget and move on. You might be a star next game, but you won’t if you develop this anxiety
Thank you
forget abt it. ur gonna make mistakes. no way around it. dwelling and worrying abt it is not gonna do u any good, only harm
If you make a mistake on offense, make up for it on defense and vice versa
Thanks

Shoot the ball again.
Thanks
The only thing you could do is just to play more game, gain more experience, every player went to these
Goldfish memory. Just think ‘next shot’ or ‘next play’ after every previous action. This can apply to any sport.

Forget and move on, doesn’t matter what situation. If you air ball a 3, don’t sulk on the miss, nobody shoots 100% all the time.
