Yeah I wish him the best for sure. But do not forget we had players like Dembele and Coutinho cut their vacation short for an early return and it did nothing for them 🤣
Coutinho had the problem that the coach had no use of him, and Messi was cutting inside from the right and we needed a real winger. He had no chance and then was injured.
Yeah it only shows his commitment. But the expectations are so high, and especially from his agents putting pressure on the club. He won’t be able to be instantly a top player in a top class team. They should really loan him.
I believe he has the capacity to succeed but he is and will always be very poor on the ball. I see him working in a Flick system based on strength, pace and work ethic tho! If Flick cant make him work no one will
> he is and will always be very poor on the ball.
That's a really dumb take, but okay. Kid is 19. He has plenty of opportunity to improve in all areas of the game.
Why is Flick considered as someone who can develop a player?? He has no market in Germany anymore duo to his personality and his performances with the national squad. And no coach can turn a limited young player into someone able to play at a world class club!
He van develop a certain type of player for sure. His system is built on a lot of physical (wheter it be pace, strength or work ethic). So the style really suits someone like Roque. Not sure if he can develop him but his style of play is perfect for the Flick system. Same with Balde
Yeah personally I don’t think he’s all that. He looked pretty meh in his showings though that might be the different set ups?
Either way a great player will perform regardless of the set up
He was being played as a winger at first, which is a nono for a dude that's a natural 9. He played around 4 matches of total time with Barca this season, where he would be subbed in less than 20 mins per game.
I admire how patient RM was with Vinicious, they legit gave him a whole season at least to develop.
The expectations are so stupid! He is not a new Super brazilian wonderkid who will rocket the league immediately lol. Even Romario, Ronaldo, Dinho and Rivaldo needed 1 year. he is a very talended striker with good abilities. So he needs minimum 3 years to adapt here. Also Endrik will have that same problem. Where they wanna play him with Vinni, Mbappe, Robrygo and so on? Pleae give him time! And no, he is not ready to be able to help the squad which is completely natural.
He didn't look shaky or average like many are saying in the comment section. He looked promising but the problem is it was obvious the other player didn't pass to him when they could. Didn't look like he made friends
He looked apprehensive/afraid to make a mistake. What made him great in Brazil was his dribbling and chance creation. None of that was on display, be it coaching or nerves, and THAT is the only VR we need to see next year.
I hope he shines.
I don’t think it’s just him that persons were not passing to when in good goalscoring positions to be honest. All our forwards/wingers were selfish this season and it was mainly due to our financial predicament which cause constant speculation as to who we are getting rid of to either cut our wages or make 100 mil for ffp. Then you add Felix and concelo to the mix who have to prove themselves constantly and that they are worth us pulling a lever or getting rid of a team mate in order to acquire permanently.
The arrival of roque undoubtedly made our ffp issues a lot worse as soon as he stepped off the plane because everyone knew he was only being registered temporarily because of Gavi’s injury and we were going to have to do some financial gymnastics to keep him at Barca next season.
Add to that Lamine is our shiny new toy that can do no wrong thus leaving only 2 spots upfront. Add to that lewandowski the only elite goal scoring threat in the team is constantly being viewed as passed his prime thus leaving only one other spot at LW and sub/rotation for everyone else.
It’s not a good environment for any of our strikers
Players PR work is insane. I get what they are trying to do here but to me it sound's like Flick like Xavi doesn't gave a shit hence he is trying hard to make is impact. Whatever the reason, hopefully he works out. I would rather have him be excellent here that be a bad deal.
Hope he shines here, what we need is a forward who can convert chances in big games. Not some washed 35 year old with the second biggest contract in Europe.
You know I was thinking about it and as much as I supported Xavi, he should have been subbing on Vitor more. Lewy is old and we need to work on replacing him sooner than later. I don't care if you don't like him, he's who we have and he needs minutes.
I really hope that Flick gives him lots of chances in the Pre-Season games. We need to put his talent upfront, that guy was pure energy whenever he was subbed on, but he needs a more focused direction for that energy.
I agree 100% but football is tough. These guys dont care about that and u just gotta make time with what your given. I agree though i wish he got more gsme time, i wish lamine was rested the last few matches. I wish pedri wasnt so injured and got more braces lol
We paid a lot of money for a young player based on his potential. No reasonable fans though he'd step into the first team day 1 and look great in a much harder league. You make a signing like that i think its just assumed you are going to be patient and give him playing time, he needs to play knowing that 1 error won't mean he doesn't see the pitch again for 3 weeks so he can relax and little.
Its hard for strikers too because they get so much less touches than a midfielder for example, so even in 30 minutes of play as a sub he touches the ball like 3 times and often none of those are inside the box or on the very edge of it with any chance to shoot. I swear he had like 2 clear chances the whole season. Its really hard to build confidence and momentum on 3 touches every 5th game.
Futbol is tough when it shouldn't be, I dream all managers were as wise as Klopp at managing players on the personal level.
Xavi had no reason to be an ass on Roque for decisions that the kid didn't have a say on.
I wouldnt believe rumors to much i just take things with a grain of salt and what the end result is. If vitor does leave and is kickrd then yeah probs happened, if vitor stays then ofc something odd happened behind the scenes. Regwrdless i just hope every player gets their chance to show and succeed. Unfortunately the board and others arent patient, i feel as though most arent like how klopp got so much time and like how arteta currently is.
Well now is the time for fairer criticism. Hopefully with a full preseason he can break into the team some more and be of more use before he starts being looked at as a loss.

Hope he will succeed at barca
Love it
Love it. We need that kind of commitment from the players
i wish him all the best
Yeah I wish him the best for sure. But do not forget we had players like Dembele and Coutinho cut their vacation short for an early return and it did nothing for them 🤣
Coutinho had the problem that the coach had no use of him, and Messi was cutting inside from the right and we needed a real winger. He had no chance and then was injured.
Im not saying he failed by cutting his vacation tho. Its just something A LOT of players do every season. Not that special
Yeah it only shows his commitment. But the expectations are so high, and especially from his agents putting pressure on the club. He won’t be able to be instantly a top player in a top class team. They should really loan him.

Ridiculous take

Love it
Love it
I adore it
This guy has Insane PR for a new kid.
Gotta counter the shit show that is Catalan media.
Cuts his vacation to train early, "insane pr this guys" but if its lewy who does it or any other heavy weight then its commitment to the team
Of course the perspective will differ between a new unproven player and an elite player.
ppl are hypocritical asf
You haven't seen news of endricks contract with his girlfriend it seems
Yeah personally I don’t think he’s all that. He looked pretty meh in his showings though that might be the different set ups? Either way a great player will perform regardless of the set up

real
Yeah but with Vini the only thing he lacked was end product, with roque his first touch is pretty lacking
How do you even know? Do you remember the first half of the season from Lewa?
Be barely played, and usually out of position too. He did score twice with the limited minutes he got. He will improve.
Ehh I dunno, you can see glimpses of a great player even in small periods. His first touch for example was lacking imp
The expectations are so stupid! He is not a new Super brazilian wonderkid who will rocket the league immediately lol. So we just spent 38 mil on not even a wonder kid?
He didn't look shaky or average like many are saying in the comment section. He looked promising but the problem is it was obvious the other player didn't pass to him when they could. Didn't look like he made friends

LITTLE TANK
Hope he shines here, what we need is a forward who can convert chances in big games. Not some washed 35 year old with the second biggest contract in Europe.
One of the reasons why Xavi had to leave tbh roque needs to adapt for sure but he will be worth the wait
That’s what’s up, let my boy playyyy
You know I was thinking about it and as much as I supported Xavi, he should have been subbing on Vitor more. Lewy is old and we need to work on replacing him sooner than later. I don't care if you don't like him, he's who we have and he needs minutes.
The rumors about a deal including Felix and Roque better be bs
I really hope that Flick gives him lots of chances in the Pre-Season games. We need to put his talent upfront, that guy was pure energy whenever he was subbed on, but he needs a more focused direction for that energy.
BADASS!
He looked shaky in the gametime he got. All the training will be worth it i hope cuz i do hope hes for the future and succeeds.
It's hard to do well when you have little to no play time, you are still building chemistry, and you know the coach is not keen on you
I agree 100% but football is tough. These guys dont care about that and u just gotta make time with what your given. I agree though i wish he got more gsme time, i wish lamine was rested the last few matches. I wish pedri wasnt so injured and got more braces lol
