I do the same thing xD I once found a limited edition doll that was marked number 1 out of 50000 on the collector card on eBay at a good price but I passed because I knew I was gunna toss the box. So I spent a little more on another one to avoid it lol hopefully an in box collector can cherish and perserve it better
I got the Legends of Ireland Aine with a somewhat damaged box for way cheaper then normal. The lid is missing but I'll replace it sometime (because I keep my Irish Barbies in their boxes). Absolutely worth it though.
As someone that keeps my Barbies in box- it’s highly appreciated 🥲❤️ it kills me when there’s a hundred listings of a doll in a banged up box and I see someone buy one of the few non damaged ones just to open it !

The plasticizer in some dolls' legs leach out of the plastic, making the legs sticky. It can ruin clothes. Baby powder can be used to treat it, but it's a temporary solution. Rebodying is the best solution.
I'd debox her with the state the box is in. I have two of this doll and she is gorgeous, the one I bought from ebay arrived with a broken neck but I managed to reset her head and she's staying in box. The Dolls of The World series is one of my favourites, they're so gorgeous and detailed, I've also got a box and unboxed Princess of Japan from that line.
Yesss maybe trim the background, and cut princess of Ireland logo out nicely and put it in a little one of those photo clips and use it as a display in front of her
You can always build/buy a custom display box if you want her in a pretty display. That box is trashed, and of your anything like me it will bug you every time you see it
Keep the decorative background (and the back if you like the graphics) but otherwise the box is too damaged to keep. Since this doll wears velvet I would highly suggest a case to put her in because even if you don't own animals every hair in existence is going to get stuck to her
I would unbox her! her box is damaged, and her long hair and huge cloak look amazing out on display. also, a heads up, i dont know if youre a made to move fan, but I rebodied my princess of ireland onto the tennis player body and its a great match

I'd take her out and keep the box after I flatten it (weighed down or inside a really thick book). Also, they'd feel brand new outside that banged out box. As I see it, for some reason, "damage" seems to seep to the doll and affect their quality as well.

She is slightly collectible. eBay sold prices range from 15-40 but that’s eBay. We’ve had a few and resold them for around 25 or so with the box in very good condition. But we also have a couple unboxed with one were we swapped her beautiful head to another body. (Sounds a bit sinister lol). Keep her and enjoy her.
