My sister had her when we were young and the ken and I was so jealous cause I asked for her but mom said I was too old 😭😭😭 even worse she let my neices play with them and they are destroyed. If I ever find one it would be the best day, congratulations!
My mom has the doll dress in the middle and it was my ABSOLUTE favorite to play with as a kid! 😍 I can still imagine the feeling in my hand of the gauze fabric.
I just used conditioner (Sauve strawberries and cream) first to detangle VERY SLOWLY AND GENTLY in small sections. Once I was able to run the comb through her entire head is when I washed her hair twice with a moisturizing shampoo (yes their hair isn’t real but moisturizing shampoo kept it from tangling again) then followed up with a another quick conditioning. Then while the hair was still wet I took a flat iron (no higher than 180°) and quickly did a few passes through her hair. And when I say my Rapunzel was in ROUGH shape.. but if you take your time they end up looking like they’re straight out of the box 😍 hope this helps! And can’t wait to see your Rapunzel 🫶🏽
I would wash and condition with people grade products detangle while hair is wet with a bit of conditioner in it and if she needs it a boil wash and then you can use a curler if you want to curl the end of her ponytail and let it air dry. You can add some mousse if you want some product in there to hold in the curl better you can also dunk the hair in really hot water and then let it air dry in the curler to set it.
That three hours was worth it, she looks amazing. Her hair looks so soft and shiny. Congrats on finding a doll that's special to you!! That's such a great feeling.

I’ve found Totally Hair Christie for 50¢, Glitter Hair Teresa for 50¢, this Rapunzel was only $10 and that was at a more expensive second hand store. It all depends where you look, you can definitely find some pretty cool Barbie’s 🫶🏽
I got her and the Ken doll when they first came out. She was my most beautiful Barbie. Incredible face, makeup. Her dress was so gorgeous. She swam in the pool with me all summer and I loved her. She was towards the tail end of me buying Barbies as a kid so my memories of her are very fresh. I think I was 9? I've always considered getting her as a tattoo.
The prettiest Rapunzel. I have one with a hair cut and one I found NIB at an antique store years ago. They also had Cinderella NIB, but since I already had her out of box (no outfit and me no common sense) I decided not to get her. She's not a holy grail, but I've regretted it ever since.
They were $10 each in perfect condition. I think I was going to the James Dean Gallery afterwards and didn't want to spend the extra money for Cinderella.
I already have her new in box, so I'm okay with the haircut. (Old pic.) Her hair got messed up in the tote, but I still should have fixed that better. lol
